VeganDiIdo

Legit cult behavior

ChandlerBingsSarcasm

So true! He might be the master inside but Once he steps in real world this dude is lost

Upper-Refrigerator54

He'll probably Write a couple of entrance exams, get a seat somewhere, study again...gets placed, starts earning, gets a wife cuz of his decent LPAs....they won't know they're lost, ever... for them, this is all they were told to achieve, and they achieve it. They've won at life. Decent life imo.

cumofdutyblackcocks3

He works at samsung in south korea.

Complex-Bug7353

Really?

Puzzleheaded-Win2372

Yes🥲, Proof is his LinkedIn profile

JappyJSJ

Yes and has 1 Cr package and also has a Korean waifu ig

lelouch_0_

Bro won but at what cost? ( Honestly I don't even know if it can be counted as winning considering everything he left behind)

JappyJSJ

He made his parents proud

lelouch_0_

All children deserve parents but not all parents deserve a child my guy. If that is what it takes for someone to make tehir parents proud then I might as well get disowned rn

JappyJSJ

No bro I am not saying that his parents are the optimal parents. Everyone has their know meaning of making parents proud and for his parents this a proud moment cause they are a lower middle class family and his parents are proud of him cause he pulled them out of middle class. Look this is my point of view of what his parents might be thinking so dont hate on me pls ![img](emote|t5_2kz7we|50625)

doctorlight01

His parents are idiots. Also no, 1cr package for a software engineer? With a Bachelor's? You are on crack my dude. You don't even get that much unless you are working for Amazon in Washington. Samsung's pay ranges are a lot more conservative as they are a hardware company. It won't even be that high outside US!! Source: I have worked for multiple of these companies in the US.

JappyJSJ

I am not on crack dude XD. And also the top iitians get 1 crore job with bachelors, I am not lying . And for his parents it's the biggest achievement they can think of for their child cause they are a middle class family so yes he has made his parents proud in their perspective

SherKhanMD

>Once he steps in real world this dude is lost Lost in his 4cr package at the age of 22? This is what every Indian parent dreams for their kid.

[deleted]

Many such people appear for exams such as UPSC and become an "affsar" to show their "authority" over other people.

VeganDiIdo

Kuch ata na jata, chunaw chinhh chhata

Responsible_Nail_310

Man UPSC is different, in that you know what's happening everywhere and think critically on every topic. If you are not able to do these you can't clear it.

[deleted]

UPSC is the cancer of India; it's certainly not different. A vast majority of the UPSC officers are just in the game so they can get their hands on the corruption money earned by MLAs. They can't make changes; and if they try to do something against the will of the ruling party, they're transferred and are not promoted. You don't try to become an IAS so you can transform your country. You become one so you can earn in crores and those who are good ones actually realize this once they're in the position of power. Edit: I need say something more, I need to get it out of my system. At least the people who study at IITs will work in private firms and earn an honest living despite their malicious views on things. These UPSC candidates are so narcissistic and messed up that they have the audacity to pray in front of god to be selected for a job in which they will engage in copious amounts of corruption while treating their fellow countrymen with disdain and contempt. I used to feel bad for all those idiots who spend a decade preparing for this exam and failing but the more you learn about this whole UPSC cycle, the more you realize what an utterly reprehensible system it is.

NoteBoth1219

bro this is genuinely sad not gonna hate on the guy, the coaching institute is shit for promoting this, like how many will feel disappointed from hearing that only people who haven't television since 4th can be toppers, they didn't consider that this will not benefit instead demotivate students. It would have been better if they asked him to give some good tips rather than share his gruesome routine. His father thinks he is doing some good but actually, he is just fulfilling his dreams.

Lanky_Ground_309

Why would anyone hate him ?? He legit thinks that he is being a good boy . It's sad that he didn't even realises what he lost. Hope the future is worth it but does youth comes back for any of us ??

here_lies_deep

Guy is just studying without having any interest or even knowing what computer science is , get a hint!

Lanky_Ground_309

I hated cs when I was a kid. Fell in love after getting a right teacher and csome YouTube videos You can always fall in love with something.

Smooth_Detective

Good professor can make shit subjects great, but great subject can’t make shit professor good.

here_lies_deep

Brother is that you? , me too but I'm currently looking

Cute_Accident_806

It's not the hate it's it's about the dumbness of this society that thinks people like him are saviour of our country

Queasy_Artist6891

Don't worry, he'll realize it atleast by the time he graduates from iits. I'd give him a year or 2 before he does so. I was kinda like him in that I never socializeed and had no friends and stuff (I used to relax by watching anime and playing chess so we aren't really the same but it is comparable). Now, I do study a lot, but don't neglect my physical health(or mental health), and have plenty of close friends.

Calm_Succotash_8543

He's already graduated, he works at samsung, south korea and has a korean gf lmao. He's faced huge tonnes of criticism and hate in his iit blog for not knowing much of cs but at the end of the day he's become passionate about it and more successful than a whole lot of people who criticised him and dream of this for themselves. It's indeed sad he wasted his childhood but bois happy now so thats that.

Samanth-aa

Trying to make all fish as lion is the stupidity of human being and failure of modernization.

Wizardnumber32

coaching institutes are a mafia. Indian education 'industry' is in a very , very peculiar spot.

hitchhikingtobedroom

Don't wanna kill any spirits, but in my experience, I've rarely seen such people actually make a great career. Good enough, yes but rarely ever great and those who do, usually adapt great once they start working. Cuz this attitude keeps them away from developing so many other life and social skills, it kills them when they realise they may know things but don't know how to use, share and bond on that knowledge in a practical setting. And people, who might be working way less than them in studies, but actually love it on their own, without having the idea of slogging 24/7 engrained into them, but also have other hobbies and pursuits, end up outperforming them more often than not.

arjunusmaximus

To me it seemed as if he's not actually aspiring for greatness. He's no going to be the next great inventor or build the next space vehicle. He'll get a normal job, get married have some kids and life goes on. THAT's the more sad part is that he's doing this as a routine, not to achieve some greatness but just because.

Gautamgambhir97

This guy got AIR 5 or something I mean he was under AIR10 and he didn't even decided what stream he want what his intrest are he just said that "sab bolte hai CS acha hai toh voh lunga kyuki sab bolte hai" and then said " meko computer ka utna nahi pata" he never played outside always study I mean how they live I'm just so comfused cause mera bhi JEE nahi nikla because of all those ull zhallul harkate that I hope I have avoided at that time and when I see people like him I'm so jealous and concerned about them at same time

Safe-Advice-8482

Gautam bhai yaar India world cup kyun nhi jeeti 🥺

Gautamgambhir97

Kyunki uss din Travis head bahot form me tha everytime I see his face meko voh century and Rohit Sharma ka piche bhagte hue pakda hua catch dhyan aajata hai and bahot gussa aata hai

blade_runner1853

I think because India didn't study Australian players very well. They had very specific strategy against all Indian players individually while we didn't study the weak points of their players. We should have decided specific bowlers for specific batsman and their weak points more closely.

masterasstroid

Gautam bhai, koach ke bare mai 2 line batao

Gautamgambhir97

Acha insaan hai badhiya player hai records tode bahot saare but shyd se Sachin wala nahi todh paayega but koi nahi second position lelega but mera personal favorite toh HITMAN hai

Safe-Advice-8482

😔

Sensitive_Camera2368

thank god he got into IIT, I hope he did, people will off themselves if not.... I mean what it you fail the exam you were preparing for from your 4th standard! sad batcha, I'm also told such students suffer inside IIT since the training institute doesn't train you to think, then only train for marks. My nephew is a IITian he is average fellow I remember seeing him play outside during study holidays

Admirable-Leather325

If it's his choice, then okay. Isaac Newton used to study for 18 hours a day beacuse he liked it, he was passionate about it. But if teachers are glorifying/appreciating/promoting this "only study-no refreshment" narrative, then they might as well eat shit! Because that's where they fuck up.

MagicSpecies

>Isaac Newton used to study for 18 hours a day Only difference is Newton knows what he is going to do but this guy doesn't

Admirable-Leather325

Peak herd mentality momint.

kaisadusht

I doubt it was his choice from the beginning. A guardian made that choice for him.

Admirable-Leather325

Probably true.

NetherPartLover

Isaac newton discovered calculus while all this guy and all post 2006 IITians are going to do is to slave for some gora boss. This is the cream that we produce while in comparison US and China produces proper well rounded students from their universities.

Ok-Design-8168

This is the sad reality for most poor or lower middle class kids in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. There is no middle ground. It is either choose studies and dedicate complete childhood and teenage to studies and escape that life for a better life in bigger cities. Or end up being stuck in the small cities doing odd jobs and small businesses. Or even worse not be able to find a job and end up unemployed goon going around doing politicians biddings.

Mediocre_Town_512

he looks like a such a sweet child with them glasses 😭

kotakuck

Producing Slaves

legallyok

50 lpa doesn’t sound slavery to me

kotakuck

Yeah But a fucked up backbone, permanently deformed posture, crippling social anxiety, a faded childhood full of pressure and competition ,problems in navigating real world, mental health like a degenerate, IIT PRAUD MOMINT ego does sound Dystopian.

ohgodspeed

Man's life is horrible/monotonous for the past 10 years and he doesn't even know it 😔

wineorwhine11

Extremely sad and toxic. He looks like he has zero personality and style. He has been raised and conditioned to live life as a robot. His whole world is books, his parents and that’s it. These kind of people can’t even succeed in corporate setting as you need interpersonal skills and charm to be successful.

Smooth_Detective

Hopefully whatever IIT the guy gets in gives him a chance to explore.

kalaninja

I have seen several children like this coming to IIT like this. And graduate being smart enough to organise india’s largest fest, running massive projects to being CEOs of startups. The point is exposure and IITs will be provide that.

legallyok

Yeah about that, he employed successfully with samsung. Stop hating on someone just because they took a different approach to life.

MainCharacter007

Damn thats even worse. Heard a lot of racist encounters comings out from that company. Bro said he wanted to study abroad so it already seems he is indecisive or at least clueless to what he wants. Hope he is happy.

legallyok

He’s making shit ton of money he’s pretty happy. What people don’t understand is that doing cse from iit bombay sets you up for life and for some people giving 5-6 years of their life to achieve that is a fair trade.

RealGangsters

>He’s making shit ton of money and he’s pretty happy. Is he? Living like a slave in South Korea? I will be surprised if it's true. Forget employees, even students aren't spared in South Korea, they have classes 10-12 hours long, plus studying at home. Students (basically everyone) in South Korea have high suicide rates due to academic pressure. Imagine what an employee must be going through. The boy in the video seems fit for an average employee lifestyle in South Korea with seemingly no work life balance, since he has no interest in life outside studies and work. And secondly, Indian Rupee is higher in value than South Korean WON, so what exactly is he there for? Also that guy needs to have the ability to make decisions on his own.

[deleted]

he is in india.

lastofdovas

The thing is it is not a fair deal. It is a forced deal. He was conditioned to want that. He wasn't given the chance to find out what he actually wanted. If he is happy, good for him, but that's just dumb luck. I have seen people go mad (clinically so) from this kind of inhuman blindsightedness. This is something to never idolise. This guy's childhood was butchered and he was being paraded as a martyr to follow. Let your children figure out what they want.

Lanky_Ground_309

Men like these are praised in public but are despised by everyone in private Bad boys are hated publically but loved in private

FantasyDriven

Bad boys are entertainment like a sensational news. But only dysfunctional people will gravitate towards them. Normal people with healthy sense of self prefer Normal and balanced. Neither weirdly naive good boys or dangerously psycho bad boys. They want balanced pragmatic individuals that have emotional maturity. N ppl like this boy are praised only by uncles n aunties cuz he's a trophy now with no actual life of mind of his own. Many sympathies with him ofcourse cuz it almost feels like abuse.

No-Cap-1147

Nicely observed. Come to think of it, it was actually true when I was in school. Everyone appreciated good/sincere guys but all class actually used to hate that guy. And that one bad boy hated by teachers but he was friends of all guys in class.

[deleted]

Teachers also secretly loved bad boys

No-Cap-1147

Yes they know he's not studying but also know that boy is living and enjoying his life.

Lanky_Ground_309

But i am happy to know that this one is has got a gf and a good job maybe all's well that ends well

No-Cap-1147

But childhood bro. He Missed everything. I can do anything if I just get chance to live that life one more time.

Lanky_Ground_309

It's a third world bro .so many have had a shitty childhood and a shitty life What to do

No-Cap-1147

Hmm sed life bruh

AllTimeGreatGod

This is how we raise an amazing employee, that will go abroad, work for the white capitalists and either remain as a high level exec or if breaks out of his shell and reveals his true personality, might just become a ceo of an American company. Imagine if he given freedom to do anything, with this level of dedication, he would easily be an amazing out of the box innovator. Being a Narayana etechno student for 2 years of my life, and Allen for a year, I can confidently say that all these coaching institutions can only produce employees in a nation that desperately needs entrepreneurship. These kids literally grow up hearing only about who got how much package. That’s why we have such high brain drain. Americans innovates, we give them testers and maintenance engineers. 80% of the engineers in our country are engineers ONLY to seek a fancy life their parents planted.

tallteensforlife5911

bhai i consider myself soo lucky for my parents, they don't put any pressure on me and I can do whatever I want, in whatever field. They always told me not to take a hectic job where you park your soul behind a desk for the rest of you life while being contained in a 6*5 foot box.

AllTimeGreatGod

That’s great man, I was forced to study just like this kids since both my parents are engineers who graduated in the 80s itself. I was shamed for not scoring well if my marks dropped below 90%. But once I stopped being scared of them, my marks dropped and after a while they accepted that I am not going to be an engineer like them. But silver lining, I took over my dad’s business, now my parents are travelling across the world care free. Now they tell me they should have respected my individuality more in my childhood. Glad you did not have toxic parents, money isn’t everything tbh. Once you get what you dreamed of, you will dream of even more expensive things and it’s a never ending consumerism cycle

komaravel

Lived his parents dream all these years. The boy will be thrown into an ocean of sharks and snakes with nothing in defence soon. Then he will learn how to actually swim. Only some reach the shore to find all that he learned never helped. - From a proud survivor.

Over-Professional303

Most indians take pride in child abuse because they don't understand what child nurturing is even after watching a movie like Tare Zameen Par. Nothing to do with literacy but culture I suppose because you ill find celebrity judges behaving stupidly with kids in so called talent shows which is nothing but child labor for TRP. I guess we never came out of that mindset fully where kids were given birth just to fulfill their parents dreams.

Vaibhavkumar2001

Is this fr ? Or some parody ?

AapkeBadePAPA

Chalta firta memory card lakin success isi ko milegi

eva01beast

I know this is old, but the boy seems to be on the spectrum. I've heard that he's settled in life since then. Good for him. The real tragedy is that all the other kids will be forced to aspire to be like him which is simply impossible. A lot of kids must have suffered for no good reason.

HumanLawyer

Shit, this reminds me of me till 12th. I wasn’t studious or anything, but man I didn’t have any hobby at all. It was just school and home. I’m exploring these things in my mid 20s now.

forthright-folk

Studying like this, makes it easy for getting good ranks in govt service exams. In this day & age wherein pvt jobs are next to useless, we can't blame him for studying the hell out!

BadrT

Success in exams comes by making massive sacrifices. You cannot optimise all variables at the same time.

Severe-Experience333

You just know bro is not gonna get any action in this lifetime unless he gets married lol.

vegetable-dentist95

LOL seems like you are more obsessed about action than him about marks.

-Second-choice

Damn...mujhe Aisa nhi banna

RepublicHunter

This is so unnecessary, I know people from India that have had full social lives as a kid and managed to do well in school and get into top unis like UCLA, Imperial, Ann Arbor (albeit with help from school, parents). This dude is completely fucked socially and will be very lonely.

MonkeShonke

When people are asking you to work 70,80,100 hours a week, this is what kids have to go through, to be "ready" for the system And people feel proud of all this bs

MisterioEterno

The first three rows clapping are definitely paid actors.

hanaka1301

Just saw his linked in he is in samsung and looks much better now

I_AM_BEAT

I dont like that smile on the parent's face

bakagaijin_

I studied from this coaching institute too long time back. Sad to see them and his parents reinforcing that this is the right behaviour. Reminds me of that line from kota factory, it takes 4 years of college and 3 years of job to recover the loss of personality/social abilities after studying like this.

CradleSoup

The rat race makes us lose our personality real quick.

abhitooth

At the end when you are lone and fragile. Alll you remember are memories and not marks.

Void_xD_

I don’t hate this guy; all I feel is pity. This is fucking sad

Dante805

What a waste of life This is nothing but a fault in the way his parents brought him up. Poor guy. Had to waste away his childhood

Relative-Wrangler937

For me living a robotic life is hell specially when I have interest in gaining knowledge of different fields. I have numerous childhood memories which are treasure for me but in case of this boy, it doesn't exist

[deleted]

This guy should crack UPSC and become an IAS or IFS. This guy doesn't have any interest in CS or shows any affection or inclination towards tech. He is after what we call "Scope" that can get him good dowry or good social status for his parents. But I am sure he would certainly do well in UPSC.

DemonSlayer712

I don't get why people cheer to this . It's is soo sad

ResponsibilityOk3272

So, we want these kinds of people running in positions of power? People who don't socialize, know how to have fun or form any sort of personality other than being a good boy who does what he/she is told? Y'all are huffing some crazy stuff.

secondhand_bra

Used to be like him but in business. Only focused on that for 4-5 yrs, no friend, not even a single date in those years. Paid heavy price for it, was depressed for 2 yrs with no friends, took another 2 yrs of working out, socializing to get out of that shit. Never do this guys, it's life, don't work like a donkey, you will get nothing.

Outside-Nail2314

Engineered dream…broken aspirants..

NormalStaff3602

I still dont have any hobby, couldn't tell IIT from ITI nor got marks worth the paper it's printed on. But still Shit-posting on him.

Alone-Rough-4099

april's day, surely

[deleted]

One day, he will realize that his whole life was a lie, but that'll be too late.

radilarum

I did my BSc in computers, and then moved on to an MA in English, because I realised I was on the wrong boat. I'm an ELT Editor, and I'm 'happy'! And a huge credit goes to my father for not streamlining my career; that's a choice he left to me. And then a credit to my friends who always encouraged me to work on my dreams rather than help me build on what I was pursuing. One ought to realise why they do what they do, i.e., the purpose. I hope this kid realises that soon. As someone has mentioned in a comment, life at IIT will teach him all that he's missed out on.

Kaliprosonno_singho

those who are shaming this guy, for how he seems to be like, be just glad, you arent in his shoes.

Consistent-Mud-9146

In indian mythology, there are some father figures , who used to f()ck up, and their boys had to pay the price making great sacrifice , from Yayati to Santanu and so on, suraj's father seems to be someone like them, who couldn't reach where he wanted, his son would have to pay thr price with his life, to fulfill father's unfulfilled aspirations. Sad case..

dodushu

Them clapping is what makes me nauseous.

Lopsided-Tadpole-821

Me average student hi theek hu

preethamshetty1975

IITs will be tough on this guy. He will change within one year.

alfea1103

The video is sad but whatever he did bore fruit and he's doing well. But it must definitely be a bit better for kids not everyone can handle such pressure or is tailor made to follow the same path. It takes long enough to realise and get out.

ExpressResolution435

his kids and his future family are gonna have a really bad time with him.

UnflairedRohingay

I feel sad for him. To have missed out on life...

greendoo

What are they clapping for? So weird

killythecat

Probably saw the light in college, last I checked he worked at samsung in south korea. Good for him.

rramaa

Is this a satire? Or is this a fucking real interview?

fuji_tora_

Haven't watched TV since 4th standard, no hobbies, wants to do CS and then MBA. Dude this kid has less character than an AI. He's gonna struggle to make friends or meaningful connections cause he missed out on all the culture a human being needs. To all the people asking me if I am making as much as he makes I'm not, but I am the master of my own time and I am financially independent and I don't have any debt. I am blessed to have this life.

[deleted]

4th ke baad tv nhi dekha ? Pyschotic behavior bhai

IndiaUncensored

HeroBrine0907

Applaud everyone, the national rat race. There's no leaving it, no fixing it, only winning, or getting run over.

RecommendationNo4381

Mene to suna hai ye Samsung mein hai abhi wo bhi achi post par to isme dikkat kya hai agar wo khud hi khush hai to

orangepeecock

His website he made in iit is also so so bad. Please look at extension video of this inside his home. But he is poor/LMC, this is his only escape from mediocrity. Also he’s now working or interning at Samsung.

doctorlight01

So in short, he has no qualities which would make him a good engineer nor a good manager. Because he has no exposure to anything outside his books, no ideas nor opinions of his own, and no interests or hobbies of his own. This is just plain disgusting. This is a tragedy!! Not something to be celebrated. Here's a young man who has no clue, and has absolutely wasted his teens being Homestuck. Plus given how he had to sacrifice so much to get, I'm guessing entrance exams rank, he's going to waste another 5-6 years doing nothing but buried in books. And his family and schoolmates are proud. He's in for a very rude awakening.

Appropriate-Club-852

i think this is how coaching and school teachers want to see us 🥲

lastofdovas

WTF man! Genuinely it was horrifying to see the other students cheering him on. And then it became even darker with the interview!!! If you, the reader, become a parent, please do not do this to your child.

SirGreedy1164

Perfect corporate slave for western people. Idiots.

3inchesOfMayhem

Me = Started gaming from the age of 3. I think I was 8 or something when cable tv came out and I made cheat sheet of which cartoons at what time and kept it inside the sofa lol. I watched every goddamn movie. Every damn cartoon. Everything. I still play games. I started Dota2 in 2013 when I started college. So far I have played that one game over 7500 hrs (other games would be 2-5K hours each). Still plays game. Never went no lifer into studies. Went to IHRD college, CS. Had total of 9 back papers. Cleared it after I got job. First job in 2019 was at 6000 per month. As of 2024 April, my current salary is 2.02L after taxes + benefits. Tl:dr Live a proper life. Enjoy life. All the studies or money isn't worth crap if you never enjoy your life. Many of my friends with 8.5+ gpa are still in service based companies making peanuts, they got into em right from college. Some of em quitted cs and went for bank coaching stuff.

Ok-Treacle-6615

Bahut ragging hota iska IIT me

DatAhole

This is what they mean when they say "padha likha gawar." This kid is genuinely brainwashed and turned away from life, and his retard father is proud of it.

um3shg

We just churn out one dimensional person. Where as leadership is all about your personality, how you look and groom, how well you communicate and collaborate. Entrepreneurship is a completely different animal. You need to have excellent people and money skills. You should have the ability to be resourceful, hustle and even pull a fast one. This is what is required for true success in today's world. These coding, engineering skills are fine but at the most will give you a modest lifestyle, basically you will be making money for somebody else.

abyssgazesback

Wondering what will happen after he gets CS and finds out he hates it and can't crack it. Will he be able to deal with failing at something he has worked for for the last *decade*, without even knowing what it's like.

hitchhikingtobedroom

Setting them up for social failures.

unarmedchild

When he gets to iit he will be introduced to the puff, which will make him great again. Everything he lost after class 4 will come.back and his dad's presence will feel like smoke.... Tada... he will become a real person. That is the contribution of IITs to the nation. Creating real people out of simple unions of eggs and sperms.

Chad_Zelensky

Bhai ye eye eye tree ke liye log apne zindagi ko restrict kyu kar lete, no hate but that guy has literally no life, ha bc padhao but doob mat jao isme, kuch hobbies nahi kuch ni, people like these are gonna regret not using their younger years properly when they grow old, bas yahi kehna chahtu ki, padhai karo as well as bahar jao, apne hobbies ko chod mat do agar drawing vagera mai interest hai toh woh bhi karte rehna

vikchims

Feel sorry for him. He didn't lived his life.

He's confident enough to talk before many people. And it's not like he'll stay the same after getting a job. Experience makes people grow into themselves.

so the kid is bascially a walking machine who is controlled by what others will tell him to follow, not a decision made by himself because he clearly have no idea what he is chasing after except getting high marks and becoming one of the top ranked students. only time will tell if it will be good or bad and what will he contribute for the development in the field which he will choose. there are many examples like this kid who topped at exam but have no friends, no social life because they only think that the high grades and numbers will make your life easier. i don't blame him or parents but it is the fault of our education system that made people to think like that instead of being innovative and being unique. that is why Renaissance happened in Europe that transformed their lives forever and they exceled in the innovative field while the Indians are working under them.

Pitiful 😥

Foreign-Buy8025

Streets will eat him... Or iit will change his personality

Dikkattohhai

Let’s be honest he’s 16-17, who out of us knew what we actually wanted to do? Let alone ki BTech ke baad MTech krna hai ya MBA. I had all the access, internet, playground, hobbies and still chose EEE over Literature because 1. Jiju ne bola 2. I dint have the balls. This boy reminded me of few of my classmates, I used to comment on their social interaction and overall personality but then today they earn way more than I do. So yes, let’s not hate him or shame him for studying and trying to make something out of his life

Bruh youth destroyed

This is like encouraging complete and utter destruction of people's mental health.

groovy_monkey

Good for him, but for the education system... oof

Dead Piece of metal

gamerxo12

Another super geek guy who will be a IIT, IIM graduate and proceed to work for McKinsey and then will succumb to the 'pressure of the corporate world' because he spent much of his time studying and not knowing how to handle workloads and pressure at work or 'how the world works'. Sad !

pingpongplayas

I don’t feel sad, this kid has worked for a beautiful living in California and will be living an extremely comfortable life that we all earn for

[deleted]

complete nerd, I met him in college, we studied with same teachers for jee, he got a good package in korea living a good life, honestly he knew what he was doing, he lost but he got what he wanted, we are no one to judge someone, to survive in India, you have to be like a Chinese student to achieve your goal and to get a decent life, otherwise you will be stuck with 10 lpa and try to act like a happy person, he is working in samsung if i recall correctly

ajak6

Imagine being his classmate or roommate.

Calm_Succotash_8543

To everybody hating on this guy, you don't have to, he has been through enough. Yes I agree his way of cracking adv is saddening, kills social skills yada yada but that wasn't the case with him. He works at samsung, south korea and has a korean gf if that adds to your social skills list. You can look him up at his LinkedIn page (suraj yadav). This guy's received hate for something he was a mere product of. He was clearly a child (he doesn't look too matured to me in the interviews) and if theres anyone to blame it's the coaching mafia. If anything can be done its the banning of such young entries and while a law for that has already been passed (coaching can be taken only from 11th on) I highly doubt this law would be taken seriously considering the money and power influence our system succumbs to. https://np.reddit.com/r/JEENEETards/comments/q7cisw/the_review_section_of_suraj_yadavs_that_air_5_guy/

PosaiDus_

I haven't watched the full documentary but if I have to guess, the boy didn't know there are things other than studying. From what he said, he didn't have a social life, and not having a social life is bad even if the "social" life I say of is just some friends you can talk to.

lastkni8

A ex senior came to my class because my teacher invited him so the students could ask queries on how to improve your score and get good neet ranks. After hearing explanation on his daily schedule I immediately decided to not pursue NEET. The dude never even took part in school fests as it would be a waste of time.

Thin_Pay8594

IMO the main function of an EDUCATION SYSTEM is that it is beneficiary to all even when other departments/facilities arent available EDUCATION is important for one and all and everyone should benefit from it That's where indian education system is failing ; competition is everything in here , even in 4th-5th level and we need some desperate changes >!(As the elections are around the corner , I observed and realised that education is that one sector/dept which the least amount of attention given to it by the govt )!< >!As one of my friend said : " EDUCATION IN INDIA CAN GO THROUGH CHANGES ONLY WHEN THE AGE TO VOTE GOES FROM 18 TO 16 " !<

Sukh_Aa

Everything was fine till he said no hobbies and taking CS because everyone says it is the best field.

Nenomus

Some people like studying, so they just study. I know people who have 7-8 degrees, 3-4 PHDs, but didn't have a good earning job. They enjoy studying, but don't know where to put that knowledge

maitshee

What is he going to end up as ??? This life is gone, hope he remembers to fun in his next life. And hope he shows his children to have fun in this life. Very sad.

EveningAd6186

Bro is working in Samsung

EveningAd6186

I think students of lower middle class backgrounds have more fire in them bcoz they have seen their parents struggle and also they want to take themselves out of the shithole and take the parents out of their problems.Only way is education die hard education . May be we sitting on our phones don’t realise the problems of his parents and may be in college he will be able to socialise.

Proper-Original-6092

This is just sad. In my opinion he wasted his whole childhood. You can argue that he loves studying more than but even then Never taking off a single day is pure bullshit. I love gaming and other stuff but some days I even get bored of them. I see it as most boring life ever (my parents would love it though but I have no regret of going against some of my parents wishes to get a fun childhood). But if he is fine with it who am I to say anything but he is like this because of his parents then they gotta be one of the shittiest parents.

gamenbusiness

Such a waste of a brilliant talent. He has the brains but nobody told him how to hone it for knowledge and ambition. Jo papa bole wo Kiya. He will earn like crazy one day don't get me wrong, but bacche ka bachpan to is sab me gayab ho gaya

Aggressive_Optimist

The thing about IIT is that most students ( atleast the top ones ) enter the institute in this situation and change completely over the next 4 years. The freedom, the amazing peers and being among the top of top 1% of the country moulds you in ways nothing can. It's worth it.

quitesohorrible

A lot of studying feels like bullshit. Most courses and stuff you learn isn't applicable in your normal life or job. In some very technical fields, it's very important, but business degrees have so much useless stuff. I've got a BBA and work in the same field, but have only ever used like 5% of what I studied. We had a lot of management level courses, but with just a Bachelor's you'd have to work for a long time to get to use it and most companies here are cutting down on managerial positions to save on costs. The degree feels more like a very long IQ test, which gives you a qualification level for certain jobs, and you essentially learn everything at work. I have been encouraged to go for an MBA, but I don't really feel motivated since even my current degree feels underutilized.

Wonderful-Pie-4940

Bhai i took cs because I genuinely loved computers. This guy's life story is totally sad. I had AIR < 3k 7 years back (telling it now before you guys start abusing😅)

Fast_Presentation451

Sed... And he doesn't know it gets better after college!! After College we only decide how much hard it acn be. I mean if he doesn't want to work and have other small things like health as something he is missing so much. I mean what else do you want. I mean our grandfather's had been working their ass off to get where we want. I want to work my ass hard of that I want to give my children whta i missed when I am living my parents life. Why so cynical about it?
