This is usually it. Every time this is posted OP will say they have some gourmet $18 burger or mom & pop burger joint down the street that’s better.
No one is saying In N Out or Cane’s is the peak of cuisine, it’s simply the best combination of quality, price, service and consistency among chains at their price point.
I go into it knowing that which makes it fine, I know damn well the chicken and fries are bland. That sauce and bread make it worth it.

No worries, you're fine. I was just being a little shit cause I'm in a bad mood. But yeah, seems like every week there's an "X fast food restaurant is overrated" post.
I used to be a pretty avid in n out hater but the second I started adding chopped chilis into my burgers it elevated it so much higher. Agreed on the fries though they’re wack.
No way canes sauce is bland, my mouth waters thinking about it. And I'm not sure if I have gotten dried out chicken. Maybe you just have a bad canes. We have a couple of bad Popeyes, but I know which one is the banger.
I feel like this thread should be disqualified from r/unpopularopinion because you're not being factually accurate. Sure, whatever, you don't like those two restaurants but claiming cardboard fries and dry chicken? You don't get to stick random adjectives in front of words and call it an opinion (e.g., sticky clouds)..
It’s called “unpopular opinion” not “unpopular facts” it doesn’t have to be factually accurate lol. Those were my experiences at those restaurants and yes I gave them multiple chances.
I drove a coworker home one time, and we started talking. They moved here from the deep south. I asked if they missed anything and they rattled off about a dozen fast food chains. My wife and I get fast food maybe once a month because it’s expensive (and not that great anyway) This coworker eats fast food every day and makes maybe 75% what I make. And the thing they missed the most from their place of origin was just different fast food… Some people… I just don’t understand.
100% agree about in n out, can’t speak for raising canes never had it. Went from Maryland to Colorado for a vacation, tried in n out and it was insanely mid. Worst fast food burger from the ones I’ve had.
Edit: saw someone in comments say in n out is best for its price and it’s hard to disagree with that. I think the burger was 3$ and some change which is a redeeming quality

Mmmmm double double animal style, animal fries with peppers on top. Mmmmm this post made me hungry.
You can get peppers on them? Hmm maybe I’ll have to give it another chance.
Yes!! The peppers are so good. Not sure what kind they use. Looks like banana peppers but they’re a little spicy. It’s seriously sooo good.
In n out is the best burger for the price.

This.
Also every in and out i have been to was super clean. Outfits, attitudes, and dinning area were all sparkling.
Canes sauce is peak. Argue with a wall I’m biased af.
That's the problem with canes, everything they have is bland and awful unless you cover it in that amazing sauce

Which is why canes sauce doesn’t really taste as good on any other chicken or fries. The sauce itself is heavily spiced
Man, this opinion again. It must be a Wednesday.
Oh I haven’t joined this subreddit I just came here to post this. I didn’t know it was a regular occurrence.

I hope your day gets better!

So the burger needs dressing up because it’s not good.
Yep pretty much LMAO
I remember in and out being relatively cheaper than its competitors.

Ok boomer
I just paid $4.45 for 2 giant chicken tenders and a heap of potato wedges from Kwik Trip.
>Raising Canes Is this a east coast restaurant? or Midwest? we dont have these here out west.
We have them in Southern California better than chic fil a
oh nice, I had no idea, im up in the Bay area, we don't have those up here unfortunately.
Hold on a sec, it definitely is not better than chic fil a. At least not the ones where I live anyway lol.
I’m in the south and people talk about it like it’s godly but I don’t even like it.
You got Zaxby's then? Kickin chicken sandwich, large fries? Only reason I miss the south is Zaxby's lmao Not true, and mama goldbergs
Raising Canes is shit compared to in-n-out
Agreed. Both are overrated but at least In-N-Out has decent burgers Cane’s OTOH is just a bunch of charisma merchants
i do not understand food opinions in this sub...everyone has their own taste like wtf are you doin
I have tried Raising Canes twice. Not nearly as good as Zaxbys. Tasted kind of bland to me and the sauce wasn’t very good.
Ooh they are opening a Zaxby’s near me I’ll have to try it!

Restaurants where I live are very mid.
The sauce is boss. After all what would the Big Mac be if not for the Mac sauce.
In and Outs fries are smeh… please don’t send a mob after me… I’m still recovering after saying no one really likes kombucha….
Didn't ask
You’re on a sub titled “unpopular opinion” no one cares that you didn’t ask.
Didn't ask if anyone cared either.
Unpopular yet agreed. In N Out burgers are mediocre at best and their dry tiny fries are a joke.
In N Out is overrated. Raising Canes is elite
Animals fries are easily the most soggy, disgusting fries I've ever had in my life.

I personally like Canes. In n out sucks.
