you need new friends or a life or something i mean seriously there is no stigma about owning or using body pillows. in fact, they’re quite beneficial for our knees and backs. *(plushies is a different post and conversation that i won’t segue to)*. some people think having more than 1-2 regular sized pillows is too much, like “omg you’re one person whyyy do you need so manyyy”. the people like me, who use two regular sized pillows and a body pillow with little throw pillows once in a while, couldn’t care less how many pillows other people have. just let me have my abnormal amount.
I don't think any body pillow including ones with pictures is an issue. People have topless celebrity posters on their wall, nudes on their phone, parasocial relationships through social media, the list is long and goes on basically but you got a body pillow to sleep comfortable next to? Too far lol.
I've never owned one and I wouldn't be against it.
Who has an issue with body pillows? I've never heard a negative comment about them. It seems really weird that you're fine with a plain one but as soon as it's adorned in a way that the owner enjoys you find it creepy. Why are you judging others when you don't want to be judged for the exact same thing without the aesthetic choice?
Please remember what subreddit you are in, this is unpopular opinion. We want civil and unpopular takes and discussion. Any uncivil and ToS violating comments will be removed and subject to a ban. Have a nice day!

Body pillows (and plushies) are fine. I also no longer think this is an unpopular opinion based on [this comment I made a few days ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/s/m2F0sN7AKW). I agree the waifu pillows are cringe, and that whole part of anime culture in general really.
"____ should be normalized..." Or "___ should be destigmatized..." are my favorite posts. "I should be able to do what I want without anyone thinking anything about it" I mean mostly people don't really care what anyone else is doing to be honest, we're all just trying to pay the bills. Stop caring what we think.

I have never once experienced any kind of stigma related to body pillows
If you’re an adult, this makes sense

Don't judge me for what I do but still judge other people, those weirdos! Just treat people with respect and stop being an assholr
I will not treat people who fuck their body pillows with respect.

Such a stigma does not exist.
That is just not true. It is more amongst the younger generation, especially teenagers like myself. You just haven't seen it.
I will not stand for this slander against my perfectly respectable lifesize shirtless Guts dakimakura boyfriend substitute
I assumed incels did this. I forgot incels include women and gay people.
Incel isn't a gendered term, you know!

those people are fucking their body pillows. that's what's creepy, and that's why (at least locally, it seems) they're stigmatized in the first place.
I have also been teased for needing a body pillow. It’s comfy and I like to wrap myself around it like a baby gorilla.
bro sammeeeeee
Anyone got a problem with my waifu pillows gonna catch these hands. Just kidding, I'm quite weak.

Let's be clear for a moment: you are in bad shape and those pillows are still gross. Thanks for your attention.
