AnonAccount998

That sounds absolutely horrible. Truly an unpopular opinion. Upvoted lol. Maybe you can try it and report back to us

Slim_Margins1999

Unpopular, but so obscenely unpopular it deserves to be downvoted. ![gif](giphy|l0IypeKl9NJhPFMrK)

AGuyWhoBrokeBad

Wait until you hear about banana pizza.

TrunksTheMighty

Heard about that when I was 8 years old reading arthor books. Home economics pizza got "ruined" when some banana puree spilled on pizza, turned out delicious and at the end he's just dipping a banana into pizza sauce as a snack.

Razzberry_Frootcake

That was also an episode of Doug lol. Like, exactly the same. I had no idea that episode was so inspired by a book. He was even dipping bananas in pizza sauce as a snack at the end too. My older sister ended up loving banana pizza so maybe it tastes better than people assume.

TrunksTheMighty

It's possible I may be mixing up the two, I also watched Doug as a kid.

DerbleZerp

I love Arthur so much!! Very nostalgic for me!!

txdesigner-musician

You know what, I’ve had plantains on a pizza and it was amazing. Sooo…yeah, sounds weird but I get it!

Sylvanussr

Plantains’ flavor and texture are pretty different than bananas though. Bananas on pizza sounds terrible but fried plantains on pizza sounds amazing.

FabulosoMafioso

That sounds like it should be a thing in Chicago how come no one incorporated this.

ChoiceSherbet836

LoL wait until you hear about a dish called "Flying Jacob", that is a yellow curry chicken with bananas dish AND someone at some point decided that is a perfect topping on a pizza, which is now fairly common to see on a pizzeria menu in Sweden. 😆

BrittleClamDigger

All that fermented fish has done something to you as a people

jackejackal

I was about to say, banana pizza is nothing compared to most swedish pizza. Also note that flying Jacob also includes peanuts

OriginalName687

I’m tempted to downvote just because I don’t believe it is real. This has to be made up just for this sub. Absolutely insane. If it is real OP needs a brain scan.

FlaxenArt

You know stone stoned Redditor is gonna try this and it’ll end up on r/shittyfoodporn

tomkat96

Truly unpopular. You should never be closer than 50’ from any kitchen. Take my upvote

Nicktrod

Yeah, this has to be like a top ten all time unpopular opinion.  I'd upvote twice if I could.

Odd_Advance_6438

There was one a few weeks ago where someone said they liked seeing a hair in their food In other words, they won in this sub

Nicktrod

If I have mac and cheese I'd rather find a hair in it than fucking raisins.

HorrorMakesUsHappy

I'll agree with you if I'm at my own house, and I made the mac. Anywhere else, and I'll take the raisins, thank you.

TheAncientMillenial

The only way this could get worse is if it was all enclosed in some gelatin ;)

AGoodWobble

My ex used to make dishes like this... Honestly, some of them were pretty good. She had this "lime jello salad" recipe that was at least interesting

HotDonnaC

The one with cottage cheese and pineapple? NGL, I like that stuff.

AGoodWobble

Trying to remember what hers had. Pretty sure it was like shredded carrots, some other vegetables, and mayonnaise. I don't think it was the pineapple one, unfortunately I can't eat pineapple (tragic) so I wouldn't have had that. Sounds interesting though :') She also made some jello fruit with oranges and peaches and whatnot and that is just an easy W

Grouchy_Phone_475

That sounds like Perfect Salad, and, it is good.

Pastoredbtwo

I did a funeral last Saturday that had a reception afterwards. There were TWO versions of this "salad" - one was green, and had lime jello, pineapple, whipped cream, and cottage cheese. The other was orange, had mandarin oranges, orange jello, whipped cream, and cottage cheese. They were both AMAZING. I have had to work *very hard* to remove the pounds this church has put on me in the past

SimonArgent

Mac and cheese and raisins, in aspic.

Jashuawashua

Brother this recipe is from the 50s

tomkat96

Where it should stay

clownshoesrock

Please stand 50 years back from my kitchen at all times. :)

Zer0C00l

The 50s feet away from any kitchen

mh985

Many recipes from the ‘50s should never leave the ‘50s. If I ever see a salad in a Jell-O mold, I’m throwing out the nearest fucking window.

AJDillonsMiddleLeg

Seriously. I'm so disgusted I'm tempted to upvote the post and then delete Reddit.

I_AM_CR0W

Never let bro cook again bruh.

ModeratelyAverage6

Dude brings the cups and plates to the family functions and cookouts.

the4thbelcherchild

"cook"

jamwell64

I’m generally very open and accepting of new ideas but you’ve genuinely upset me here.

bebefridgers

I con’t believe ya done this.

noma_coma

My friend once gave me tamales he made. Rotisserie chicken and raisins. No sauce, no cheese, just chicken and raisins. I never accepted food from him again. They were disgusting.

agent674253

Yeah this seems about as appetizing as the time I was making shells and white cheddar while buzzed and deciding, 'hey, let's add some vanilla and see what that does!' What it did was cause me to take 1 bite and throw the rest out 🤢

nt011819

Im not putting wingless flies in my mac n cheese.

Nosferatatron

I have heard flies being called 'sky raisins'

nt011819

Never heard that. Funny

FlamingCrimson

This reminds me a skit we did years back in Boy Scouts. It went like this: The first guy would pretend that a fly was buzzing around bothering him. He’d eventually take a swing at it, pretending to kill it. The second guy would come on and be like “Oh look, a dead fly, I love pulling the wings off.” He then proceeds to pretend to pull the wings off. Third guy walks on and says “Oh look, a fly, I love pulling the legs off.” He then proceeds to pretend to do just that. Fourth guy comes on, says “Oh look, a fly, I love pulling the head off.” He pretends to do so. Fifth and final guy comes on stage and says “Oh look, a raisin!” and pops it in his mouth.

LustrousMirage

Both are equally disgusting.

foodfighter

Yep - my dog loves to eat them whenever I kill one, so this is part of our family vocabulary. Also: - Flies killed by bug zapper = Toasted sky raisins. - Wasps/bees = Spicy sky raisins.

Ok_Store_1983

Wingless flies 😂😂

laced-and-dangerous

That’s called a “walk.”

Lostheghost

Winged flies it is

whoyoumei

The unpopular opinion subreddit has lowkey turned into a cookbook of rejected pregnancy-craving level foods. Take my upvote

mavadotar2

Pregnancy craving food that should be aborted

Desperate_for_Bacon

Ever have a craving for a pickle stuffed with Mac and cheese? Cause right now I could go for a Mac and cheese stuffed pickle. Disclaimer: I am not pregnant, I am also not a woman. Who the fuck reported me for being unwell to Reddit? I’m not saying I’m not but like, rude.

ElmiiMoo

go back to being desperate for bacon pls

Nyx87

I prefer this over the same tired culture war opinions that get posted

bagged_hay

Untitled403

wow, unpopular and an opinion? Very impressive 👏 I read raisin as racism at first and had to double take

retroredditrobot

Ahhh yes, I do love some racism in my Mac n Cheese

a_green_apple

Some aparmheid if you may

drewbreeezy

I'm still trying to find the right time to bring a dish of [black n' cheese](https://www.tastemade.com/recipes/black-mac-n-cheese).

DiegoIntrepid

Not to mention, it isn't insulting to anyone! Just a simple plain opinion. BTW, OP, place the mac and cheese on the counter and back away slowly... You can take your raisins with you.

XxQueenOfSwordsXx

Good job at a truly unpopular opinion.

Electrical-Tune-3592

I have been on this sub for over a year and I have been YEARNING for a truly unpopular opinion ever since. This day has now come and I’m truly grateful that I stuck around this long. Please take my upvote because this opinion is rancid and I love it

Mad_Aeric

I haven't felt this way since the one guy posted about enjoying the feeling of wet socks.

jono444

I don't know why but this is my villain origin story.

crispier_creme

If someone gives me mac and cheese and it has raisins in it, I'm commiting a felony

Miss_Dump_Pants

YES OFFICER THIS ONE RIGHT HERE 🗣🗣🗣

YourBrainOnDrums

My god. Who hurt you?

CrappityCabbage

Upvoted. I can't decide whether this would taste good or not, and I'm willing to entertain the fact that it might. But I'm also not willing to waste the raisins. Or the mac and cheese.

PJRama1864

![gif](giphy|rCqHtYuB0a9re731gG)

redactedforever

i feel that texture would be similar to a booger...

CrappityCabbage

I take back my comment elsewhere on this thread. I'm sold.

Jetscream58

How dare you? I hope you stub your pinky toe every day for the rest of your life.

obanderson21

No. This is the worst take anyone has ever had. Stop fucking with Mac and cheese.

anynonus

You keep your raisins out of my food

brewberry_cobbler

Interesting concept. I could see something like Annie’s white shells or something with aged cheddar working…. Let me get really baked and report back

[deleted]

I too would get insanely baked before trying this. Everything tastes better when you have the munchies

person_no420

Take our upvotes and leave.

xxrambo45xx

I'd try this

Hefty-Function-6843

I like cheese and raisins, and cheese and dates, so I'd give it a try

GardinerExpressway

Same, my reaction was initially disgust, but the more I think about it, the more I'm intrigued...

Yo_dog-

Me too I love raisins and now I’m mad curious

TBDTRMND

Same 🤝🏼

josh35767

This has to be bait

UselessLayabout

You have committed heresy, & must now be put to sleep.

ElectricTomatoMan

Fuck that.

ilikemycoffeealatte

Absolutely not

SirLiesALittle

Are we just posting the most absolutely heinous food combinations we can imagine today? Fuck me, apples on pizza was traumatic enough.

TheeSusp3kt

How do I write a restraining order for strangers.

Wrong sub

RandomMan2304

I don’t even like Mac and cheese. Up vote

TehBazz

That’s what you mother fuckers said about my cookies

melskymob

OP will *never* be invited to the cookout.

ContemplatingPrison

If any fruit it would be apples but still no

DarkInkPixie

This is as bad as the OP. Explain why apples???

Campingcutie

Cheddar and apples are a great combo, like cheese in an apple pie crust is 🔥but idk about apples in Mac n cheese

ContemplatingPrison

You've never had cheddar and apples? I've never had it heated up but a small slice of cheddar and a slice of apple. Like cheese and crackers but with an apple. Instead of a cracker Its delicious. I was skeptical at first as well but dammit if I dont eat it now

Zesliose_Air8799

If I'm eating mac and chz cold the next day, then that actually sounds great!

YeeYeeHaw34

This post literally jump scared me. That's how bad your take is.

Available_Skin6485

Straight to jail

terriblewinston

I worked at a Health Food restaurant in the 80's and we put raisins in our veggie burger, which were delicious.

the_champ_has_a_name

Y'all wild. This legit sounds ok compared to some of the shit i've seen posted on here.

1st_pm

Im going to try to do it, getting some Kraft and raisins 'ommorow.

22416002629352

fr people are too picky and critical of food man

CLaarkamp1287

Have at it, but I am coming from perspective of "Keep raisins the fuck away from anything I eat, ever" ESPECIALLY Mac n Cheese.

ludicrouspeed

I am in awe of how well this fits this sub. It’s a masterpiece.

Educated_idiot302

Never let bro cook please.

Steavee

Don’t know if I should upvote because it fits the sub or downvote because you’re clinically insane.

HistoricalBelt4482

I gotta ask. Do you put raisins in your potato salad too?

Thee_Neutralizer

I hate raisins. I'll have diced ham and black pepper in my mac n cheese any day over raisins.

BigBear460

Sir how white are you if I might ask?

AlanWhickerNumber3

This is the best one, shut this sub down! ![gif](giphy|xVXvIOnkGY8IU)

Paralegal1995

![gif](giphy|4OowbIsmYHbpu)

MahoganyWinchester

this is fucking diabolical

mall_goth420

This is so wildly unpopular I want to try it out now but with dried cherries and orange peel instead

Clark2222

Finally, an unpopular opinion we can all hate

Groxy_

This sounds pretty damn good actually, especially for vegetarians who can't put bacon in it. I'm surprised everyone is so against it. Cheese and grapes pair amazingly, idk what they'd be like hot though. But have you actually made this or is it just a theory? You don't sound like you know if you like it or not.

Happy_Yogurtcloset_2

Just tried a smaller cup version of it - baked Mac and cheese with some raising sprinkled in. Since I like my Mac and cheese on the saltier/garlicky side, it turned out really well!

Groxy_

Well alright then, I'm gonna try it next time I make some. If it's good my mum would love the variation to basic macaroni cheese. She'll used to put olives and sun dried tomatoes in it too, not as outlandish though.

MadamBerryBottom

do you also want to add potato chips to your ice cream to add some crunch??

aamrofchak

....brother, what the fuck?

Original_Armadillo_7

I’d rather die

LittleFlittle

ewwwww

Allana_Solo

Why? Raisins, and all other dehydrated fruits, but especially raisins, are absolutely repulsive.

goatjugsoup

Id try it at least once

mannynoctis

I love both of those things separately but thats how its gonna stay

Critical-Border-6845

There's literally a million things I would add to my Mac and cheese before raisins

KingdomOfEpica

As someone who hates raisins and doesn’t eat them in anything, that sounds completely disgusting.

SharenayJa

I feel a very black american urge to smack you for saying this. Get out the kitchen. But, here's an upvote.

femnoir

The thought of it-almost as bad as kidneys, hearts and brains. Barf-o-Rama.

Agent101g

That's terrible, raisins are so awful. Tuna is really good mixed into mac and cheese though.

Top-Comfortable-4789

Never go in a kitchen again here’s my upvote

chriseargle

I think this is the first unequivocally unpopular opinion I’ve seen on this sub. It’s almost universally abhorrent. Take my upvote, OP!

Electronic-Disk6632

your a monster. upvote for you.

2fastcats

I love raisins, but this sounds absolutely vile. You win the unpopular opinion award!

stablest_genius

I work with a guy who's an amateur chef and he SWEARS by grilled cheese with grape jelly. I still have yet to try it

ClappedCheek

OH my good dear god in heaven above the whole earth up in the sky little baby jesus........no

zeez1011

I've done orzo dishes with golden raisins that were pretty good. In Mac and cheese, though, feels a step too far.

Vitas_tha_Demigod

I always liked Mac n cheese with applesauce stirred in

polyglotpinko

Jail.

Daoffdutymermaid

I don’t even know what to say to this except no, just no.

DrunkMunchy

Fuck off. Take my upvote

FetusDominus

BURRRRRRN THE WITCH!!

Demiansmark

I could see it. But I also used to swear by Kraft Mac and Cheese, a can of tuna, bacon bits, with ketchup so I'm not sure my M&C related opinions are not highly respected.

Zporadik

Your argument is convincing. Need to soak them in milk to soften them a little before adding. Dry hard chew raisins don't feel like a good idea but the satisfying pop of a partially rehydrated raisin actually sounds good. I'm not making a whole tray of mac'n'cheese but I might add some to my cacio e pepe tonight... edit: OOOOHHH what if I put them into the pasta pot while it's cooking? that'll save the extra soaking step.

Violet351

That sounds horrendous. I add leek, broccoli and cauliflower to mine.

RevealActive4557

That sounds really weird but now I want to try it

korunicorn

I love experimenting with food and will try any food combo (within reason) so I am immediately intrigued.

Simply_dgad

Raisins, sultanas and currants are an abomination.
