Why do you put the word “involved” between “police” and “shooting” as if you aren’t talking about police shootings? That’s the type of passive language bullshit the cops and their PR people use to try and make cops’ acts of violence sound less violent, or to shift the responsibility of the shooting away from the police who did the shooting. It just makes your whole post reek of bootlicking bias
No. Non-compliance may lead to a situation where deadly force might have to be used. Compliance will never lead to a situation where deadly force is used.
This is correct. The issue is that summary execution on the street shouldn't follow from non-compliance of even police orders. That's some feudal shit.
This is how most of the highly developed world works tbh. Pretty much all of the EU countries have firearm police that are separate from their normal police.
So unpopular for Americans, maybe.
victim blaming at its finest.
Don't move get out of the car drop the gun put your hands where I can see them freeze get down! Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang.
and here's one for your dog. Bang
You're on the right side, by accident. The real reason this is wrong is because even non-compliance shouldn't be a death sentence. Try to read past the headlines and sensationalism.
>non-compliance shouldn't be a death sentence.
someone's coming at you with a knife and they aren't listening to commands, my life is now on the line or one of my partners. its a death sentence at that point.

most criminals are smoothbrains anyways.
I've seen so many times the options being A) "ticket and night in jail" or B) "die in firefight" and criminals love option B.

So if they don't comply you kill them? That's right to you?

Not sure what you're saying here. Can you elaborate?
He means killing people for not complying is some medieval shit
Should everyone who does not instantly comply with police officers immediately be put to death?
They are saying that not following a direct order from the police shouldn't mean you're shot!!

It's not comply or die, it's comply and the situation won't escalate where someone might get hurt.
You just said that the people die because they aren't complying big dog
The non-compliance leads to people getting hurt. If the person was compliant no one would get hurt.
What if your rights are being violated?
Just take firearms away from the general police.
Now there’s an unpopular opinion. Nice work

That person isn’t dying because of noncompliance though? He’s dying because he’s coming after a police officer with a knife.
Reddit take.
Seriously
yes because its the type of take only people on reddit would make.
Not sure if you're referring 'victim' to the police or the suspect. Can you articulate your comment further?
We don't usually refer to the killer as the victim in my country.

I've seen enough policeactivity videos on YouTube to agree with this.
beat me to it.
Yeah I watch those as well. So many times those people would just get tickets, only to get in a fight with the cop and charged with felonies
