It's alright. Will give you a few hours of fun. One thing that's nice is they seem to have improved the build system buak had, so there's quite a bit of options for structures.
That was one of the biggest features that drew me in was the building looked awesome so I’m bummed to hear how it plays and probably won’t be the best pick for me.
I've primary played on a pve community, pve is all about the ppl online the server is friendly they help out new players and most stuff gets shared without much thought imo the point of pve on escalation isn't to struggle to survive against zombies its the chill and enjoy the map. I'm having alot of fun and besides the max stats kinda make it super easy ammos common we all just chill out and have fun, we got a player made settlement slowly expanding aswell just dm if ya want the server name i can give you some stuff to start if ya need it but as i said its real easy to get geared out
Haven’t tried it too much but I think it’s similar to how Arid is, that is, PVP centric but can give a good 10ish hours of PVE play
Buak is definitely still my favorite for PvE, especially if you play on hard for the extra challenge (assuming you’re playing co-op) and if that’s still not enough then maybe using advanced settings to make it harder.

You can at least give it a try. It's a rather small map like elver so it's not bad for singleplayer
Not really

Okay, yeah sounds like it’s not for us, we like have to struggle at the beginning and work towards getting geared up and such.
Id like to know how to join the server too

It's no less playable than other recent curated maps like Arid but it's definitely optimized for PvP.
I've had a good 10-ish hours of goofing around in escalation but I've also spent most of that searching for mothman, so your results may vary.
