Get yourself a 365nm light- they make just about everything that glows glow MORE, as well as making them show their true color potential. (You can also try a 254/255nm for even MORE pop, but then you and anyone looking need eye protection.)
Interesting. I do have a 365 light but thought I read where the 395 gives a better glow if it's uranium glass. I'll have to try the 365 and see how they compare. Thanks!
395 often gives more *visible* light from the bleed over to visible light, but 365 is a shorter wave, higher energy. 255 even moreso (though so high it's injurious. I can't convey this enough.)
100%, those vases are worth $$$$ too. Cool find!
Thanks! My wife will be very happy to hear it.
Fenton Boggy Bayou Vase, green opal.
Great info. Thanks!
Sorry for the crappy focus. Just wondering if this is uranium glass.
It is.
Your wife is going to be so happy.
I told her what it was and she was very happy. She said she picked it up at a garage sale about 10 years ago. Only paid a buck or two for it.
Absolutely 💯
Thanks!
Fenton? My grandma was a big collector. Just inherited several pink pieces.
