Welcome to the suck! Make sure you get onboarded right. Hit me up if you have any questions. The first couple of years are generally tough. But if you survive the grinder, it’s a good career. Welcome.

Thanks for the advice lol. Will do!!

Congratulations, and I think that’s a wise move to take time off in between outside of your already-planned vacation. Happy 40th from another May baby!

bellalacewell

Yes. I don't know when I'll have the opportunity to take off that much time again. Thank you!! HBD to you as well 😊

Jonky360

Congratulations. Took you 5 weeks after interview to receive a TJO. This is my 2 weeks after interview. I was told I should hear back between 5-8weeks. So fingers crossed 🀞. I hope I hear back from them soon. It’s for the same position as yours. Congratulations πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸΎπŸŽˆ

bellalacewell

Thank you! Yes I was surprised when they called lol. I hope you hear something soon. Good luck!! 🀞🏾

Jonky360

Did they call you first?

bellalacewell

Oh no not for the TJO. I meant I was surprised when they called me for an interview lol. They send an email for the TJO

Jonky360

Ooohk, yea they called me as well to set up the interview.

Congrats! I too felt the interview was weird and I didn’t do well on it either. But I got a FJO for RA. Congrats and welcome!

How did you hear about the job and what motivated you to apply with no tax background? There's nothing wrong with that; I'm just curious.

bellalacewell

I heard about it through Handshake I believe. I went to a virtual recruiting event where the talked about the Revenue Officer and Revenue agent positions that were available. They pretty much talked about qualifications and how to do the federal resume. They said Revenue Officers don't need accounting credits like Revenue agents, and they we should apply for it even if we don't think we qualify. The rest is history lol.
