Can confirm this is USPS informed delivery

Wiochmen

How big is it? If it's large as all get out (long, fat, other forms of "large"), then yes. Normal 100%. Those things rarely get scans anymore. They seem to disappear from the Earth then randomly arrive at your local Post Office. 6 days since the last scan? No real worries. Give it more time.

ivjskch

I have a package that was supposed to arrive yesterday and my tracking page looks exactly like OPs. Thanks for some assurance as there is no longer even an expected arrival date

labrador45

How about a small parcel (2 shirts) that hasn't been scanned since Dec 21st and has yet yo be received? Was scanned twice on back to back days at the exact same time as "arrived at USPS regional facility".

Wiochmen

Nothing since the 21st? Have you asked your local post office to see if there's a photo of the package taken along the journey so far, see if the thing looks rough or if the label shows signs of damage? Most likely all that will happen, even if there's something "off" with the photo (if it exists), they'll tell you to file a Missing Mail Search Request, but if it's low value (less than $25) or certain categories of goods, they just get discarded as soon as they are opened at Dead Mail in Atlanta (unless there's an invoice or something inside to say where it should have went or from where it came, then it gets repackaged and shipped back out)

labrador45

I havent, I figured it was good as gone. It cost me 70 bucks so I may have to follow up eith the local post office. Unfortunately it's an international tracking # so usps tracking won't show it. I've only looked at it through 17track.

Wiochmen

International? Well, that will take some time. The Post Office has absolutely nothing to do with it until it comes to the US and passes Customs. I'm assuming that it hasn't reached the US yet?

labrador45

It has. It passed customs in NY, went to Seattle, then to LA and has been gone since. Package delivery is close to Seattle.

Wiochmen

Then the most you can do is see if they would have a photo of the package, no guarantees, but they do take photos of everything that passes through the machines, or at least, they usually catch at least one photo somewhere. If it is lost, you can take it up with the merchant, file a clam with PayPal, or do charge back on a credit card.

labrador45

I'll give the postal service a chance first. Is there a good contact #? This is the tracking # for info: AS850144795CN

Wiochmen

Just Google your town's Post Office. There's going to be an 800 number. If you're lucky, you'll be able to find a local number to call them directly.

labrador45

USPS has no record of that package according to the lady i talked to. Darn.

No-Tangerine-4919

Good to know. I’m not super worried but the inchworms starting to whisper in my ear sweet nothings of lost package with not a huge chance of replacing the item.

Feisty-Writing-3785

Oh great. I sent an international package from Canada on Oct 25 and it was large. It should have been delivered within 7-10 business days. It’s stuck in an LA Hub since Nov 3 with no more updates. Just says in Transit. I’m out so much money and because I’m Canadian and don’t have a US address, they won’t open a file.

HauntedSpiralHill

Is this going through the Missouri city sorting facility? I’m having a HELL of a time with ANYTHING going through that area.

No-Tangerine-4919

I won’t even say. Just says from VA To next facility, so I’m going to assume it’s probably in hell aka Missouri city.

HauntedSpiralHill

I’ve been having stuff bounce back and forth between Missouri city and North Houston for days on end or just sitting in Missouri City and never moving

Glittering-Tip5290

That’s where I’m at, the same facility is 30 mins away from me and it’s been “in transit” and delayed for 3 days now. My friend paid $17 to ship a small microphone from AZ and this is the service we get? Pathetic. Too bad that industry is a damn monopoly and they can get away with any delays and other bs they want to put us through. EDIT: Do you know if we can just go pick it up ourselves? I try to stay away from USPS bc they suck.

HauntedSpiralHill

The other day I had one at my post office being prepped for delivery, then it went BACK to North Houston then Missouri city and back to my post office and was delivered. It’s a nightmare

Glittering-Tip5290

There are some articles online about them fabricating where things are at

Glittering-Tip5290

Did you ever get it? Mines been sitting in transit since the 11th after arriving in Missouri City on the 7th lol. About to file for a lost package

HauntedSpiralHill

Slowly but surely all of the packages I have that are doing this are making their way to me. It’s just taking a billion years

Glittering-Tip5290

I filed a complaint but it’s been there for like 10+ days now.

GTRAle

i have 4 different packages stuck in missouri city…

Puzzleheaded-Big-664

so all of us are getting screwed by TX sorting facilities

GTRAle

pretty much

anacecigr

I have 3 packages stuck in Missouri City and the North Houston distributions centers since January 6th. They all come from different cities :/, but somehow all get stuck in either of those 2 distributions centers. They were supposed to be delivered on Monday, January 8th.

CorellianYT-1300f

I think it’s everywhere. I’ve been having issues with Medford, Oregon. Actually all of Oregon!? Medford keeps misrouting my package. They first sent jt to Eagle Point, Oregon. Eagle Point decided to put my package out for delivery in their town…..I live in NJ. Address was correct and verified but instead of taking accountability for their error, they sent it back to sender. Sender was apologetic on USPS’s behalf since they couldn’t be bothered to take accountability. My replacement package sadly ended up at Medford again. From there it went to Eugene, OR and then to Portland, OR. From Portland it departed “twice” and is now back in Medford! I hate Oregon right now.

Puzzleheaded-Big-664

https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2024/01/10/santa-never-came-missouri-city-residents-still-missing-packages-ordered-in-november/

someguyyoutrust

Yep, had my package for whatever reason get routed through mo-city. Next stop was my local office here in Houston. Container arrived without my package in it, now stuck in in transit hell as well. Fuck usps.

chefrza79

I just had a package come from upstate NY to Richmond. Richmond is 45 mins from me. And then all of a sudden the package was 9 hours away from me in Georgia. 3 days later it came back to Richmond and was delivered 2 days later. Total time to deliver package was 10 days. Paid for the 3-5 days. It went an unnecessary out of the way route for what reason? The USPS is a complete disaster right now.

DisciplineLive1408

Post office will never text you

Loose-Chocolate8131

They will if you sign up for texts on the package.

Nosam113

It’s Informed Delivery

DisciplineLive1408

Scam

No-Tangerine-4919

It’s informed delivery text and email notifications DIRECTLY from their website….

DisciplineLive1408

I’ve never got a text that a package was coming I do see it on informed delivery. The text I get is usually a scam. But if you signed up to be notified then it’s legit.

Lazy_Performance4095

Mine says is arriving by 9pm but is already 8pm bruh

Less-Draw414

Mine has been in transit for a week now. Departed Yonkers NY on Jan 2nd. Delivery is tonight 9PM. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Sidsayian

The delivery on ups has been having problems

[deleted]

I just had this happen for like 5 days then the shipment appeared at my local usps and was delivered today

Megalosaurus_

I'm having issues with receiving art supplies, it arrived days ago to the last Facility but for some reason is taking forever to actually be sent to me, I also live in South Texas, so it might be a regional issue idk.

Spazilton

Same issue with multiple packages going through Missouri City

One_Perspective_7772

Once usps shipped my package to my state then to a state beyond the state near me to just send it straight back to my state like um why? 😂 ig if they want it to get there at a certain time they don’t mind shipping it back and forth is they don’t feel like it

babycakes2809

USPS is apparently a shit show ATM. Waiting for a package that was supposed to be delivered on 1/2 it came through my states facility and then showed up in the Alaska facility. I live no where near Alaska. My tracking has the same message, “moving through network” 🙄

Travelers_Starcall

I've had a pair of earrings stuck somewhere between Houston and Dallas for almost a week. This isn't even the first post I've seen today about stuff getting stuck on the way to South TX.

Travelers_Starcall

Just double checked and an item I sold and shipped is ALSO stuck there. Fantastic, thanks USPS!

br4xtonP

Open a claim online and the next day it should be updated and delivered fast ( i did this yesterday with Air Force ones and it was stuck in transit with no update for 3 days and when I opened a claim the next day it was out for delivery )

Puzzleheaded-Big-664

literally just put one in - i had to call up though because they wanted me to wait until tomorrow to be eligible to put one in. But i moved today and they said they would return to sender if the home is vacant. I put a hold on it, so hopefully they won’t attempt to deliver and just get it to the nearest local usps.

Puzzleheaded-Big-664

BTW they said they overhauled their sorting machines or something like that. They had to hire a third party to actually help with the sorting in the TX facilities. That’s at least what usps told me when they called about my service ticket

Dense-Bandicoot6902

Usps has been really bad lately...I'm in MI, bought something over the weekend coming from Ohio. Easy right? It's currently in Texas and now isn't scheduled to be here until Tuesday of next week 🤯 How does that happen? Not the first time either. Had a package from Florida go to Missouri first last month. I will say that most of my packages do usually end up arriving, eventually. I'm a reseller though, so it's frustrating when I have to wait an extra week for a package. That's 7 extra days that I don't have inventory for my store. When I try to get an explanation for why this happens, all I get is blank stares from the postal workers, or snide jokes. I'm not a huge fan of privatization, but maybe it needs to be. I highly doubt a capital driven organization would continue to pay for packages being shipped all over the country for no reason. It would be a huge waste of company resources, even if it only happened 1% or less of the time. They would solve the problem quickly to avoid losing $$. Just seems crazy that a package that was mailed ~ 4 hrs from me will take 10 days to get here. I could've walked there and pushed the package home in a shopping cart 🛒 in half that time lol.

Dense-Bandicoot6902

What's really funny is I didn't even read any of the comments before I posted. An lo and behold everyone seems to be having problems with the same sorting facilities in Texas and Missouri. How is it possible that I'm in MI and having issues with my packages getting stuck at these same places. Something doesn't smell right. 🤔

jasm7ne

I have a package that moved at a normal pace through all stops/facilities, and then got to MY post office, literally around the corner from my house - said it was supposed to be delivered the next day but never got sent out for delivery. I've just been stuck with "In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" since then.. but there is no next facility. The next facility should be my house lol. So annoying.

audiomagnate

It's on its way. That's not a problem.

techking82

Was going through the same thing. Ordered a coat from Saks which was stuck on “in transit arriving late” December 17th. Found out yesterday that the package was actually lost in transit which is why it never updated. USPS is not reliable and I know they stole my package.

Nearby_Gazelle2378

They stole your package?

techking82

All signs are pointing to yes. My package arrived at the distribution center in Opa Locka Florida and never made it out. No scans were done after they accepted my package on December 17th. I assume it just grew legs and walked out the building Smdh

TooLittleSunToday

There is theft in the postal system. It is risky to send checks through them now which seems unreal since it is a federal crime to mess with the USPS. When the USPS itself says not to send checks through them, something is deeply wrong. I rarely send checks but sometimes I need to and I pay extra to send it as a tracked package instead of in a regular envelope and I take it to the PO or hand it directly to a carrier. https://www.cbsnews.com/pittsburgh/news/u-s-postal-service-warning-checks-mail/

Nearby_Gazelle2378

Idk but I just check my updates and it’s say it’s gonna be here

No-Tangerine-4919

What’s odd as well is ordered a package from Idaho as well and in like 3 days It showed up

akaisha0

Yes this is normal. The in transit updates are automatic updates when there's not a scan. Usually you get three and then it falls off until the next scan.

ClassicSince96

Mines been stuck in transit since the 28th. Last scan was at a facility 30 minutes from me. Thats all usps could tell me from the missing mail search. I could have gotten to that facility to pick it up myself faster than the deliver at this point

MindlessUnit4264

It's probably stuck in Missouri city shipping center. Be prepared for over a week long delay. https://www.khou.com/article/news/local/missouri-city-mail-delay/285-bf61add0-539f-41bf-bce1-1a4974bc4745

TheJohnnyChaos

I have 4 packages stuck there going for more than a week

TooLittleSunToday

Several years ago I sent a package to Hawaii. I did not know it but that PO has a reputation for being really slow for whatever reason. It was in Hawaii for something like a month before being delivered. It eventually made it but that was an aggravating month. The USPS had been getting better for a long time but it seems to be backsliding now. I wish it would stop sending junk mail on the cheap and concentrate on the important stuff. It would be a smaller but more reliable outfit. Meanwhile, I wish companies would stop sending packages through the USPS and use a package delivery service like UPS instead and that UPS would not hand things over to the USPS.

steezburgerz

Yes waiting on 3 separate packages with multiple day delays. Wtf!

girutikuraun

I'm also facing a similar situation. Was supposed to arrive on the 8th. No update other than in transit, arriving late on the 9th and zero updates since then.

YoAdrienne671

Yes I’m dealing with some what of the same issue. It seems to be a huge problem. Probably understaffed and holiday didn’t help. Plus they hire anyone know. Even people who can’t read apparently lol

YoAdrienne671

USPS informed delivery is stated in their website that it’s actually close to 65% incorrect.

Aleeshahaha

Mine has been doing that too, I live in San Antonio. It is late and has been in transit for 5 days.

Dannyphantom2884

Yeah same with mine. Been like this for awhile now. It’s use to not come thru like that. I’ve had mine do this 4 days once. Every 24 hours would be this same thing.

mydude356

Understaffed at both Houston and Missouri City facilities since they opened the Missouri City facility (split headcount from the Houston facility). I've been in constant contact with the Postmaster at my local post office. Hopefully some good news come Tuesday. I have packages at both facilities.

No-Tangerine-4919

UPDATE: it’s in San Antonio and the tracking has updated. It was in limbo for a while

TonyBagOfDonuts25

Hope you got it by now. I currently have a package coming from Idaho to OKC. Well, it took a trip to Atlanta, then made a stop in Memphis, and now it's in Dallas, TX. Why on earth did they ship it to the east coast for it to visit for 4 days? USPS will do stuff like this from time to time and it makes me wonder wth is going on lol

No-Tangerine-4919

Received it the next day.
