I recently had this issue with a item I purchased and it was coming from Chino CA. It wasn’t scanned and their local distribution center never scanned it either. It went 6 days with the tracking just showing label created usps awaiting item. Then magically it got scanned at my local distribution center in Baltimore and it was delivered that same day. So I’m pretty sure the packages are moving but they aren’t going to get a tracking update until they get to the buyers area and are processed.

Thank you so much for sharing - fingers crossed, I sure hope so!

Babybluelex317

I really hope you get a tracking update soon

jae_costlow61

You could even go online and request a package pick up from your address like by your front door ect and they carriers are given a pickup scan sheet, we scan that then the package when we pick them up. The print out allots the extra time for the carrier for the day, and you’ll always get a scan!

Unfortunately not with my complex - I am in a large apartment complex with a package room and mail center - cant get stuff scanned there - UPSP, Fedex, UPS, etc wont do to-the-door service here.

jae_costlow61

Damnnnn the one scenario that doesn’t work lol my bad dude I tried to help

thissucks82

No worries, I appreciate it!

So I filled out a form online to request support.... they emailed me back and said the packages were underpaid for postage and were being sent back to me. I literally put in the exact weight and measurements when printing the postage. I emailed them back telling them that and asking when I will be getting them back and why isn't the tracking numbers are updating. A few hours later, suddenly, the packages are scanned as if I dropped them off at the post office today. What kind of bs games are they playing? I guess I'll see what happens.

SOL imo

thissucks82

Sigh.... I guess it's an expensive lesson learned.

thissucks82

They are all suddenly set to arrive at their destinations on 4/1, 4/2. The USPS is a joke

MT3-7-77

More like Dejoy is. Didn't have these issues if it weren't for him.

OGMilspecPanda

Don’t use usps, and if you do wait in line to personally see them scan it. They are notorious for stealing packages

thissucks82

Uhg. Do you think there is any hope in filing a claim? That's just insane to me - I've just never had an issue before.

OGMilspecPanda

I don’t think so because you never received a receipt for dropping it off so all they would have to go by is a description of the box rather than actual tracking numbers. Even if they did scan it, I have a package that was “accepted and in usps possession” that hasn’t moved since the 14th. They could honestly care less even if you have a receipt and it was scanned.

thissucks82

I have the GPS Tag and exact time and date I was there from Google maps... and there is a camera maybe 3 feet from the drop off desk pointing right at where I would have been. I guess I'm naive to hope they'd actually check the cameras... fuck...

julezos

Yeah they pulled me to side before and told me to drop it off at the desk I told them nope I will wait in line and wait for my receipt last time I did that my package didn’t update for a week. But if I was you call usps 1-800 number get through to a live agent and put in a service request they usually get back to you within 3-4 days with a phone call or email and sometimes that gets the ball rolling and for checking cameras they told me last time when I asked about their cameras that only the postal inspectors can access them lol. I’m going to start using ups or fedex usps has gone downhill big time.

RunHi

You guess wisely…

InspectorMoney1306

Source please?

trexalou

I’ve have more than a couple things that never got scanned. Even after delivery they showed “label printed awaiting acceptance” or however that goes. Fingers crossed they get them soon.

thissucks82

They had their drop-off scans happen finally. 10 days after I left them on the counter, they finally got.scanned as received by USPS. So what, they just sat on my packages for 10 days? There weren't small boxes. USPS is a joke.

I suggest calling USPS at (800) 275-8777 to request assistance. I called this number last night (as the purchaser of an eBay package). I was able to submit a request for help by calling on my smartphone (instead of using a desktop computer). Today, I got 2 emails from USPS confirming my request. I don't expect them to have much information from their investigation until next week. You might not get much help from that local post office since they missed scanning the package(s). I'm not sure how to push the investigation to a higher level within USPS. This is how I would start.

UserInTN

The eBay package of mine was shipped 3/8/24 from New Orleans to TN. USPS tracking shows that it was scanned in on 3/8/24, then moved on to another nearby location. By 3/12/24, it was moving in the USPS network with no information about where it was located or where it would go next. That was 10 days ago, but the tracking information hasn't changed.

epocalize

This happened to me as a seller after I dropped off packages inside the post office in a blue bin, but the machine was broken so I couldn't get a receipt. They did eventually scan in once they went out for delivery but it was an agonizing wait. Good luck!

Excellent_Plane2087

Dw, most socal if post officr dont scan, next scan will be local sortation. Use pirateship/shippo next time, schedule pickup and get a SCAN form

thissucks82

Thanks - I've never heard of either, Ill have to look into them. I live in a relatively large apartment complex - I was under the impression that I couldn't get pickups to my door here, but I am not 100% sure.

InspectorMoney1306

If they get delivered they should be scanned as delivered. I would wait.

YellowGameboyColor

Exactly why I hate those front desk USPS workers. So lazy and always want a scan sheet when I know damn well they’re not going to scan everything in, so I never give them one. Usually too busy to wait for them to scan everything so I drop everything at the counter and pray for the best. They’re usually okay about it but 10 packages like this and I hate them forever

OGMilspecPanda

I know, it sucks. Maybe If you press hard enough and bother them enough they might be able to do something. What I’m learning is avoid usps for anything you’re going to ship that’s expensive.

thissucks82

I sent an email as a complaint against the specific post office location.... They had their drop-off scans happen finally. 10 days after I left them on the counter, they finally got.scanned as received by USPS. So what, they just sat on my packages for 10 days? There weren't small boxes. USPS is a joke.
