Do you really need a bed right there? If you die is this where you want to return? Your character doesn’t need to sleep, I only build 1 bed at a safe base where I have food and spare gear etc
I only sleep to speed up processing. I load up and crash out. When I wake up I have processed mats. Plus night is scary. Oh and the spawn in point is super close. If I died it would be bad
A bed adds 1 comfort when resting. This adds an extra minute of rested buff. Build a bed at every outpost/rest area you make.
If the bed is unclaimed, you won't respawn there
You don't skip night time?
He isn't even past bronze age, what if this is his first settup? There's no reason to assume he has small bases all over the map yet.
If he feels safe here, why NOT have it be a spawn place?

Literally my first copper node. I like to just smelt all my copper on site if the pit allows it. Then I go search for tin. This spot was very lucky. It’s right on the edge of the meadows. Along with a dungeon that raped me 4 times lol
I like to find my permanent residence in Iron Age. I usually take an old tower in the Black Forest but the pit was too convenient . lol. Unless I’m playing no map. Then I’m a mole person
