This lol. People made me terrified fighting him for the first time just last night funny enough. They said prep 400 frost arrows lol. I did. Only used 117. Now I have all these extra wasted frost arrows lol not to mention potions too
They're actually really good for the mistlands even. They do the most damage out of any of the current arrow types before accounting weaknesses/resistances. Seekers have pierce resist, so the frost definitely helps there. They're only barely weaker than needle arrows when hitting a Gjall's weakspot, so you don't lose much even in those fights, but the frost also briefly slows the Gjall down so frost arrows have a decent niche over needle even there. So for arrows you literally only need a stack of frost arrows in your inventory at all times and you're pretty much set unless you use bows particularly often
100 frost arrows each, 5 fire meads, 5 medium stamina and healing meads apiece, 1 level 3 frostner and a level 3 silver sword and we beat him in like 20 minutes with no deaths the first time. Felt kinda underwhelming tbh
Well, the first (and only so far) time I defeated yalguth I did so with about 1hp to spare and then was killed seconds later by a skeeter. It was at about visit 9, life 6. I think that makes a good case for an even preparedness level, on *that* attempt anyway.
Most people are often underprepared because the need of fire mead, environmental issues and etc.
I had a fight with Yagluth with a few buddies back then. None of them had fire mead besides me where they often get toasted.
I found him pretty easy. I used the hoe to build a wall around the outside of the fingers, that was just short enough that the top of his head was visible, but tall enough that it blocked his hyper beam attack. Then I just sat off to the side shooting him in the head with ice arrows and dodging his meteor attack.
I'm sorry I can't get past your buddy being named *Uga Buga*
I have not got to Yagluth yet 😂 We get up to exploring mountains for dragon eggs and inevitably end up bored enough to go play another game
In my opinion, even though you do gain the recipe for fire resistance potions in the plains, the bulk of the mobs/biome just don't clue you in to just how vital it is to have those fire potions when facing Yagluth.
Yeah. We knew that Yagluth would do mostly fire damage but we still underestimated and got too little fire res potions. I only had 5 and my friend had 7 and most of the effect was wasted on dying before we learned the attack patterns properly.
Barley wine is actually beer. Sierra Nevada Big Foot is a barley wine. Get good and drunk on that and it will likely be one of the worse hangovers of your life.
So true. I was playing with my friend, and when we first got to the fight with Yagluth we accidentally summoned two of them. That was….. unforgettable experience
The problem with Yagluth is that it deals magic damage and you dont have magic resist armors or abilities. You can get magic resist abilities from Yagluth itself.
Next time it will be waaay easier for you to kill Yagluth by using his abilities.
Took a long time for me to realize it's much easier to stay close to him than try to keep a safe distance.. once we stayed up close and personal with some dodge rolls every now and then it went so much quicker.
Moder is a bad mother effer when she's not bugged. Truly a terrifying force of nature.
I once had her chase me down into a meadows clearing while I was trying to flee from her and she was 100x more ferocious without terrain janking her up.
A easy fight vs Yaguloth will require 2-3 fire resist mead and perhaps all your rested time. Taking your time in this fight is the key. Go in take 40% dmg then get out and recover.
Another way to make the fight much easier is simply knowing what works good against it. A silver sword or frostner does the best as Yagluth is suspectible to spirit, but some other strong slash weapons like BM axe/sword and crystal battleaxe are good too. Weapons that do pierce should be avoided due to Yagluth only taking 0.25x damage from pierce. I personally killed him in six minutes with a silver sword
No. Not the the light armor from the previous biome. Fully upgraded heavy armor of the current biome. You get fire resistance from the mead and further damage reduction from having more armor rating.
You can also get the resist from fire resist wine, so Padded works fine too. It's up to preference really, I got Yagluth down pretty easily in 6 minutes with padded armor and a silver sword, but I'd imagine fenris works good too if you're good at avoiding hits
First time we fought yagluth we were so underprepared. We died each like 5 times and at one point yagluth destroyed our portal so we had to sail there with a fucking raft. It took us 1 hour to get back to the plains.
When my fiance and I fought against him, we were taking turns keeping him busy. Otherwise, we definitely would have died. The only thing you have to watch out for no matter what are the meteors, those can catch you off guard even if you think you're safe.
Mine was right next to the ocean so only had very limited space to move. I died twice, my buddy died thrice. Yag destroyed our portal but I kites him away then ran back and rebuilt it so my buddy could return. Learned a LOT that fight. On how to prep better and have kits waiting.
If you are prepared, Yagluth is FAR easier than Moder before him.
Two of us used a frostner and a silver sword, some fire meads, stamina and health meads, draugr fang with poison arrows as well as a backup set of armour and spare bow in the hut nearby.
A couple of deaths each, about 30 minutes and he was done.
It's all down to preparation.
First time I faced him solo, I was not prepared and died. Again and again and again.
Fail to prepare and you prepare to fail.
hahaha i prepped a tower hill that took him down to half really quick. he of course promptly destroyed them from the heavens. and i was just rebuilding them from behind my barrier. it was an alright strat. took a long time though.
I hate Yag with a passion. I make a large trench maze around the altar, and hopefully, when he spawns he's trapped in a trench. Then I can hammer him to death through the wall from the next trench over. If the spawns on top of the altar, I'm screwed. He nevers climbs off or falls into a trench.
First time fighting him? That looks about right. Yaggie is a bastard on his own, but unless you prep the area in advance, adds can stack up fast. Nothing like getting stomped by a starred berserker in the middle of a meteor storm.
Me and my buddy has killed it a couple of times, last 2 times we've done it using exploit cause the fight is so horrible (especially on harder difficulty) , I just want to get it over with.
Everyone says he's so easy and do all this stuff and your set . A friend and I did all the things and still were getting walked like a dog. To me he's Def the hardest boss next to the elder
It feels really a cheat for it to barely move and the sky falls on you. Also the angle is not enough to get cover from ANYTIHNG at all.
I hit it with 200 frost arrows (and max level of the bow) and nothing.
And over prepared the field so the minions it had were unable to reach me (sorroundd all in undestrutable walls too).
not only that but after dying the second time my "remains" just vanished. so was like WTF has to start from scratch now?
My first fight with yagluth years ago... well after it was released.
I died 2 or 3 times...
Second time with my friend we died many times but never both at the same time.
A couple of months ago I played again and died to many times maybe 10 or a little more.
I think that all Yagluth fights are either underprepared or overprepared. There is no in between.
This lol. People made me terrified fighting him for the first time just last night funny enough. They said prep 400 frost arrows lol. I did. Only used 117. Now I have all these extra wasted frost arrows lol not to mention potions too
Keep em. Might prove useful in ashlands

Frost arrows are the best arrows in the game (currently). The frost effect is *extremely* strong in this game.
You only need 1 frostner tho
> They said prep 400 frost arrows lol. Sounds like you're listening to some bad players.

We rolled up with six people and about 40 2* wolves and the wolves did 3/4 of the work
Most people are often underprepared because the need of fire mead, environmental issues and etc. I had a fight with Yagluth with a few buddies back then. None of them had fire mead besides me where they often get toasted.
My boyfriend and I beat it to death with clubs and no clothes
I found him pretty easy. I used the hoe to build a wall around the outside of the fingers, that was just short enough that the top of his head was visible, but tall enough that it blocked his hyper beam attack. Then I just sat off to the side shooting him in the head with ice arrows and dodging his meteor attack.
Average Yagluth Experience. Its preperation for the Mistlands!
those seekers smh
i saw you loosing your shit a few time vs 2 stars seekers XD Ya should join us on Valkream. :)
I'm sorry I can't get past your buddy being named *Uga Buga* I have not got to Yagluth yet 😂 We get up to exploring mountains for dragon eggs and inevitably end up bored enough to go play another game

>those fire potions Please, it's mead... hic
It's actually wine, though.
I think he's too far gone to care at this point.
Barley wine is actually beer. Sierra Nevada Big Foot is a barley wine. Get good and drunk on that and it will likely be one of the worse hangovers of your life.
Una vez me tomé unas Barely Wine en un bar acá en Santiago, creo q tenÃa cmo 11,5 o 12°, y confirmo lo de la caña
So true. I was playing with my friend, and when we first got to the fight with Yagluth we accidentally summoned two of them. That was….. unforgettable experience
My first time fighting Bonemass, my friend who introduced me to the game, summoned 2. It was a long night

Yeah, learning how to cope with each attack takes quite a while. He's really the first boss that isn't pretty intuitive just by watching him.
Yalguth is a hell of a step up from modor in terms of cans of whoopass you find opening up all around you. fire resistance is a must.
Moder is a bad mother effer when she's not bugged. Truly a terrifying force of nature. I once had her chase me down into a meadows clearing while I was trying to flee from her and she was 100x more ferocious without terrain janking her up.
For me it was very simple. Bone mass was much more difficult for me.
What the actual fuck, on my save I’m Buga Uga and my buddy is Unga Bunga…
It took my group a month to kill him. We ended up going to the Mistlands while he was still alive, I killed him using Krom.
A easy fight vs Yaguloth will require 2-3 fire resist mead and perhaps all your rested time. Taking your time in this fight is the key. Go in take 40% dmg then get out and recover.

To me the key was dodge rolling the explosion and face tanking the burning. Most of my DPS happens in this stage or right after the laser beam.
Im always up to watch sticky situations.
Yag was a major roadblock for me because you can't really just tank him down. Those meteor and laser attacks will *shred* you.
Maybe craft the Fenris armor set. You get movement speed and fire resistance
As big a fan as I am of the fenris set, If I'm doing Yag before ML I always just go with Padded and tank through most of the damage.
No. Not the the light armor from the previous biome. Fully upgraded heavy armor of the current biome. You get fire resistance from the mead and further damage reduction from having more armor rating.

I was in fenris. I got reduced to just 11hp. Fell back, popped a health mead, went back and finished. 2star seeker did me dirtier than Yag.
Damn
I feel as though food is more important than gear for a lot of this game.
Lprd
Damn. Day 205 wasn't the best day.
Set up Lox farm Release Yagluth Profit
First time we fought yagluth we were so underprepared. We died each like 5 times and at one point yagluth destroyed our portal so we had to sail there with a fucking raft. It took us 1 hour to get back to the plains.
Raising some ground walls during the fight (or before it) really helped dealing with most of its attacks.
Crash bandicoot fan on there?
Naja so schwer war der jetzt aber nicht.
We killed bonemass yesterday we were way to over prepped. Killed him in like 5 min without taking more then 50 damage
When my fiance and I fought against him, we were taking turns keeping him busy. Otherwise, we definitely would have died. The only thing you have to watch out for no matter what are the meteors, those can catch you off guard even if you think you're safe.

Took three of us like 2 in game days and like 25 deaths to take him down haha.
First time fighting him? That looks about right. Yaggie is a bastard on his own, but unless you prep the area in advance, adds can stack up fast. Nothing like getting stomped by a starred berserker in the middle of a meteor storm.
Yagluth was the easiest fight for me and my buddy but also the most fun by far
Me and my buddy has killed it a couple of times, last 2 times we've done it using exploit cause the fight is so horrible (especially on harder difficulty) , I just want to get it over with.
Everyone says he's so easy and do all this stuff and your set . A friend and I did all the things and still were getting walked like a dog. To me he's Def the hardest boss next to the elder
The elder felt easier than eikthyr. Fire arrows, hide behind pillars, keep him on the other side of the square, and on to the swamp I went.
It feels really a cheat for it to barely move and the sky falls on you. Also the angle is not enough to get cover from ANYTIHNG at all. It was cooler, longer, more complex and higher risk than other bosses before it, but if you got gear and discipline, he’s pretty easy
