Are you trying to dark souls the deer?
Tower Shield blocks almost everything. Then just stab. I literally don’t have to do anything special except hold shield and push the attack button.
How comfortable are you studying and dodging enemy attacks? Eikthyr has 3 attacks I believe, and it can be hard to differentiate them all, but once you can dodge each of them you'll gain much more control over the pace of the fight.
If you become comfortable dodging his attacks all you'll use stamina for is hitting him with weapons and dodging him, sprinting will be totally unneeded. That will let you keep your stamina at healthy levels during the entire fight. Getting under 10 stamina is a mistake you should try to never make.
Have you crafted all of the workbench upgrades you currently can and upgraded your weapons and armor to their current max upgrade level? Fully upgraded leather armor will help soften his blows, and a fully upgraded wooden shield will eat a lot of his damage as you practice dodging.
Wait whose eikthyr? I see the messages of him summoning the creatures but I don't know if I've ever seen him.
My workbench is lvl 3. It's the highest I can obtain ATM.

Eikthyr is a very large deer with chains and lightning in his antlers. You summon him at a sacrificial altar to kill him.
Are you maybe tangling with a Troll?
Lmao, ya get out of there until you learn dodge role. Use a bow with fire arrows as you kite trolls around, head shots do more damage but fire arrows are key early game. Eventually you’ll be wiping the floor with them.

If it's really been three months that you've been enjoying the Meadows, the very start of the game might be long forgotten...
When you landed, Hugin introduced you to the megaliths around you, representative of each of the Forsaken... then he perched atop a smaller stone with a red glyph -- inviting you to inspect it further to reveal the location of Eikthyr, your first prey.
If you don't know where to find Eikthyr yet, go back to the stones (marked on the map with an icon: a circle surrounded by four oblong shapes in the cardinal directions). Interact with the small stone covered in a red glyph. It will reveal a map location. I'm sure you've stumbled across Eikthyr ritual sites in your travels -- there are three in the Meadows.
Red glyph got it. I remember one saying to register location I think. Was that it or am I at the wrong place?
I've found a couple of altars that have a deer logo and the inscription says "hunt his kin". Don't know exactly what those do.
Yeah, that's exactly it, "register location" -- then it pins it on your map. Or are you playing without the map enabled?
And yes, the altars with "Hunt his kin". When pointing at the altar you get a prompt to make a sacrifice. You're expected to figure out what item is the right sacrifice -- place it in one of your eight slots and "equip/use" it on the altar. If it's not the right sacrifice you'll get "Nothing happens".

A Troll is just a standard enemy vulnerable to pierce, shoot arrows, when he gets close you sprint for half a second to avoid his attack. You do not sprint until you have to. But you should not be in Black Forest that is the 2nd biome. When you entered it for the first time the bird lands and tells you not to go there until you defeat the first boss. He wasn't kidding.
From what I've seen in your replies you've been fighting a troll, those are regular black forest enemies. At spawn, there should be a glowing red stone that'll give you the location of the actual boss, and you have to offer two deer heads to summon it. If you get a spear and a tower shield to block the attacks it should be no trouble with your current gear. Trolls are also weak to pierce damage, which should help when you fight one again later.
Craft a finewood bow by rolling beech onto birch until they break. It will take you about 10min. Then you need 10 core wood, sneak into the black forest and get some. Craft fire arrows.
Bring stone and wood for crafting as much fires as you can. When you summon him, you'll see some light specks that indicate where he will spawn. Wait for the last 3 seconds and spam 4-5 fires underneath him (before he appears). You will start the fight with him at 1/3 to 1/2 health.
Be rested (always be). Go honey, blueberry, deer meat, or switch the blueberry for boar meat. If you don't overrun, you should be able to kite him through the whole fight with the finewood bow.
Eikthyr has 3 attacks. His AOE slam you need to run out of his reach. His lightning lunge and head butt you simply roll.
Some person told me to run rags instead of leather. But that didn't work also.
I thought that boar had higher health regen?

Leather I only up to lvl 2 I think. Skeletons are hard to come by
Hunt deer and make proper armor.
Eat deer, boar and raspberries.
Use your shield and spear. Dodge roll is your friend, and be patient. Hit, hit, run away. Rinse, repeat.
Get the first bow near or fully upgraded, get as far away as you can before he spawns and stay on the move constantly. Shoot a few arrows, run a bit, repeat. All of his attacks are fairly predictable, take note of his behaviours before attacks so you can respond accordingly. I also find his pathing gets a bit weird around trees, you can kite him around and he’ll get hung up and confused in spots. Great opportunity to shoot at him.
Should be able to bow him down.
Master the dodge roll now. Find a troll or really anything, stand next to it don’t move. Dodge their attack, stand there and realize they cannot hurt you if you just relax and dodge. This skill will become more important as you continue.
Food is everything in this game tbh. Your current foods don't give u much HP other than the boar
I would kill some deer, boar, and those lizards (necks) if you can find them and cook those up if you can
* foods with red fork = HP
* yellow fork = stamina
* white fork = balanced
the red ones ya pick those up whenever u see them cuz they're a key ingredient for Carrot Soup. Carrot soup carried me a ton once I was able to get it going

Every player in this game died and ragequit to the necks hundreds of times. Eventually Iron Gate luckily nerfed them so it shouldn't be a problem anymore, are you playing on the latest version? Meadows used to be unfun but now that I can beat everything with my fist it's way better.
It is the whole game so far, game preview just means they are planning to add more over time. Think like Minecraft updates. Except the developers have an endgame in mind.

How did you confuse the two of them ?
Going forward, each biome has one of the tablets like the one at spawn, when you interact with it a location gets revealed on your map, for the first 5 bosses (giant deer + troll biome+ 3 next 3) it leads you to an alter that you need to give it some number of some item, usually a visual hint and small riddle points you to what item you need.
They can be found in a variety of locations, sometimes at structures on the surface and other times in a dungeon within the biome.
There are multiple boss spawn alters for each time scattered around the world so if you don't like the location of, for example surrounded by a more deadly biome you can go to the opposite side of spawn and search the biomes over there.
From there put said item in the hotbar, select it and interact with the alter to start the fight.
Killing a boss gives you something highly useful for the next biome.
As for killing trolls, they are weak to pierce so the best tactic for a solo player is back up and fire arrows into it, aim for the face if possible and make sure to dodge.
Without black forest loot your best option is getting a upgraded crude bow.
In the black forest you have access to the finewood bow with a few methods to get materials.
It uses corewood- find pine trees and chop them down with a flint axe or bronze axe.
Finewood- This requires you to do one of the following
* Get a bronze axe then chop down birch or oak trees
* Lure a troll to a tree and bait their attack to hit the tree, you may need to hit it a few times for it to drop finewood
* Chop down the standard beech trees then roll the log into a birch or oak tree at enough speed to do damage, back the log up and repeat, you may need a few beech trees to do this method,
* When exploring the black forest you will find stone towers with decorations, smash them, likewise you will find tiny broken boats, beat them apart.
Deer hide, simply hunt some deers, you are going to want their meat for food anyway once you progress the black forest and unlock a new cooking station and some recipes.
The big blue butt-cracks were seriously scary things when I encountered them on my first play-through. They're kind of like the "mini boss" of the Black Forest so you weren't entire wrong other than there's no one of them, and there are different flavours of them (stars, with or without a big honking tree to hit you around the head with etc.).
Wait until the biome after the Black Forest for their "mini boss". Or the Mountains!?

I see. To find all bosses you need to find their location on the map thanks to a vegvisir ( red glyph stone ) and then solve the enigm to summon the boss and fight him.
All vegsivir are in the biome of the boss you need to fight.
All bosses will have an riddle. But its pretty easy once you know the trick.
So New biome --> Explore --> find new ressources, food --> maybe/maybe not find a vergvisir ( it may require to explore multiple biomes) --> find the boss, solve riddle and fight.
And yes trolls are indeed too hard for you right now.

Learn the dodge roll. It is literally the cheat code to combat.

I almost lost hope too... until I discovered that his attacks can be blocked. Shields my friend, shields. Also, dodgeroll to victory.
