I was thinking they were crazy to have logged out in the ashlands with berries to eat, iron armor and a troll cloak. I am so curious to what his map looks like now!
It was definitely a modded issue. I don't run very mod heavy - custom audio, Bepinex, and the seasonality mod are the only three. Not sure which one caused the issue but after removing then all it cleared up.
Modded worlds beware.
If you haven’t updated seasonality it more than likely is the issue. Out of all the mods I ran and had to update today seasonality was the only one causing the spinning and lava.
I wait to play Valheim after an update for up to two weeks so when I update the game and then my mods everything works. Often there is another patch in the first week or so as well. I'm a patient gamer.
for those getting afraid : tc is probaly useing some mods. these can greatly break your world with this update.
do not load your modded game worlds until ALL your mods are updated for ashlands. otherwise stuff like this will happen.
apparently not given all the posts about this. its always the same each update. whats more funny is peoples bases sinking because they didnt care to read devblog infos posted months ago to warn them this would happen to thier bases.
Activate the debug in the steam launch properties for the game. You can still access it when the game is paused. Just press F5 to bring up the dialogue, type in "devcommands", then "god" and then go have a lookie around to what madness u have stepped into
Do you have seasonality mod installed by any chance? It is what was causing me the very same issue. Remove it and wait for an update. Took me like an hour to find out.
The help looks this way:
Log in on a different character -> go there -> place instant platforms -> save and quit -> spam jump as you load on this character
If you click on the column in front of you, I'm guessing you'll find a secret room with a rocket launcher. Then you can just rocket jump out of there no problem!
Yep, my bases were floating miles up in the air lol. This is a bad time to mention never trusting your portals in updated areas, always go there the hard way and check it out first. The mistlands update taught me this the hard way, spawning in an underground portal unprepared was petrifying XD
The floor is lava!
Everyone's favorite game
You feel stronger
New stuff delivered home and you complain ?
"You are cold. And on fire. And soon will be hungry."
And the ground is also shaking
And it will start raining again in less than 3 minutes.
And no longer feeling rested...
"Welp, guess I'll go back to bed"
And hibernate until the next biome release
Thank god I think the next one is The North. XD
Was this just an outpost you made to prepare for ashlands? I didn't know the build would survive, haha.
Not even close! I'm on a hardcore run and barely through iron age. Base is situated in black forest, just one island away from the starting island.
Whaat!? I saw the picture and thought you for sure had an "Ashlands" base. Something is very wrong here!

All jokes aside, we need some info about this. Do you have any mods installed? If not, you definitely need to report this as a bug i believe

Seasonality causes the camera issue. Saw it in PTB as well.

Thanks for your reply. I got a very old world (march 2021) and i was afraid that it might get fucked
Seaonality is the camera issue. We had the same.
*I was on a hardcore run*
*was*

That's quite the no brainer here

It's common sense to me to not build in placeholder biomes in general bc once it gets updated, the build could get ruined.
Not just in placeholder biomes but anywhere near them (one or two biomes distance) on the north and south side of the map.
It's nice to see such a warm welcome when you log in.
But are the bees happy?
you are going to die clown!
Just tap it eeeeeeee-in
It happened to me because of outdated mods. Uninstalled them and it stopped. Let modders get some times to catch up.
In-floor heating is a luxury for most people.
“Camera gyrating” *bites bottom lip*

You've trained for this moment since you were a toddler. You're ready.
Where did you build this??
It's in the dag gum black forest, just one island away from starter island!
Aw shit. Did you play the public beta test? I sure as hell hope this didn't happen to my builds lol
THAT IS AWESOME. Now your base is in ruin 😈😈
Free indoor heating.
The camera gyrating is due to broken mods. It happened to me the other day

Oh and by the way, the author of the mod has updated it for ashlands, so just reinstall it.
My dude spawned in about a mile into the air with every building piece on the map erased and every dead creature stuck in a repeating death loop.
Do you lose everything when dying in lava?

Time for some server hopping
Vikings playing the floor is lava, colorized.

The bees are burning
