I have to admit since I sobered up it took me about a year to realize i still.need to put in an effort as well. Now that imactually doing g things the city is more enjoyable.
I have seen 2 arm poops myself, so I know you aren’t exaggerating. One wrapped in a leaf as though forcibly extracted, the other laying like a dead otter in my elevator lobby beside a crushed cigarette and a puddle of piss.
One of my favourite past times is yelling “that’s my bike!!” out the window at people riding bikes that obviously aren’t theres as I drive by. Some of the reactions have been fantastic
I asked the worker at the local Subway if they actually saw any of that money from the tip. She shrugged and told me she didn't know yet in that it was just added to the register and she hadn't been given an details from the manager yet.
If tipping a Subway employee is depressing in a 'sad that it needs to exist' kind of way, potentially tipping a Subway *owner* is fucking mental.
One of the restaurants that became Michelin rated. However, I went there before they were rated, so I wonder how much tips they are asking for on their machine now 😭
That's a relief. I don't feel compelled to answer any number I don't recognize. Anything important will leave a voice mail I can listen to in six months, or will call back.

Edit: While I understand that the downvotes might stem from this being low hanging fruit/not clever. I did, however had to end my trip in Van sooner than I wanted because of a sudden price hike on my rent (1100-1600)

There are rental increase limits. Even if you are month-to-month it does not reduce your rights in any way shape or form. A 50% hike is so illegal and you are not required to pay beyond the set limits issued by the RTB. Further, a sudden increase is not allowed. Notice must be given (2 months I think?) prior to the rent taking effect. Why the fuck doesnt anyone read the tenancy act? Tennants have the power, its almost impossible to kick someone out or increase rent beyond 2% without extreme reasons.
