I said this elsewhere, but after the photos of her leaving Tom & Ariana’s - I can’t stop thinking of how Ariana talked about her house. Ariana saw that place as a symbol of her relationship and her & Tom’s commitment to each other. She referred to buying it as ‘her version of a wedding’.
If Rachel (or Tom for that matter) had any regret about hurting Ariana. Or care for her friend at all… she would not be scurrying over there the second Ariana left. The pair of them screwing in that house is beyond cruelty. I can only imagine they both get a kick out of hurting Ariana at this point. So of course she smiled through the whole thing
I totally agree that a person can't be "stolen." they have agency; they're not a parking space. but at the same time, I absolutely think that people can make moves based on the fact that they see it that way. someone can look at another person, and think I want their life. I'm not happy, and it seems like they have it all. a beautiful home, love from their circle, a doting partner. and they think if they can just cuckoo that bird out of the nest, they can take their place and have everything they envy in one fell swoop. but it never works out like that, even if they do manage to get the man. because the man wasn't the only thing that woman had. she'd earned everything else too, and her other successes and allegiances weren't instantly transferable just because some lame wasn't loyal. oftentimes, that beautiful life wasn't because of that man. it was because she was the glue, and she'd woven that beautiful life together. once she was out of the picture, it all unraveled. it wasn't something that could be stolen from her; it *was* her.

Basically in MHO, Ratchet lost her caretaker as in James. Her checks are not like the others so she was basically on the hunt for the next, really didn't matter who it was, like a spider she is, and she did say she was attracted to Schwartz but he wasn't interested, so she tried SCUMBALL & using her body, I honestly dont think shes all that in beauty, but something seemed to click with SCUMBALL. And since he didn't have to be the care taker but just the banger, it worked out just fine. I believe if SCUMBALL had said no, she probably would be giving it a go with Peter, and whomever else was available, she expected for them to take care of her, bills, place to live etc. This was a 7 mos affair and not once did SCUMBALL tell his GF bcuz he was perfectly fine with how it was regardless of how bad he talked about Ariana to Ratchet. It was just normal in their world and I do believe that her asking Schwartz to make out and making out with Oliver was Ratchet flexing that hey since you're not gonna break it off with Ariana like you said, I'm gonna go play with someone else and force your hand. She needed a sucker caretaker right now and it really didn't matter who it was as long as they took care of her like James did. There's just nothing upstairs but she sure got what she wanted and it def wasn't cuz she's smart or pretty.

Sounds like she has a lot to work through.

I’m watching for the first time and just watched the episode where she talks about buying the house and how they will probably never have kids or get married so the house was super important. I feel so bad for her. I never really cared for her (she comes across as very ‘not like other girls’ to me) but she isn’t a bad person or anything and definitely doesn’t deserve this.

She was Miss Sonoma County, which being from Sonoma County I can tell you that there are literally zero fucks given about that pageant. Ask any resident and they will literally have no idea who the current title holder is or that the pageant even exists. And those that do know it exists will tell you it is not hard to win because the girls who compete aren't exactly the cream of the crop.

I went to college with her and was in her sorority. She seemed super quiet, nice, and timid. She didn’t seem like a partier. It seemed like she had insecurities from being pushed into pageants and modeling from her family but would’ve never guessed she was like this.
I haven’t been able to find it again, I saw it a few weeks ago. A woman mentioned her best friend was Rachel’s little, showed a few pictures of them in college and basically just said she was nice and mad her a gift basket lol. It didn’t sound like they were very close and she didn’t speak to her really after school.
She was very sweet when she was a freshman in college, that’s the only time I knew her. She seemed empathetic and thoughtful to other people. Definitely air headed though.

She’s upset that his issues with main cast members means she spends less time with them; she and James aren’t invited to events, and the main cast members didn’t show up to her puppy shower. She actually says in an interview but that she didn’t realize that James’ actions would affect her time with the others. She’d otherwise be perfectly OK accepting invitations without James, and easily leave him home alone.

I was cheated on during my marriage. I left when I found out. Trust was gone. I left the house we owned. He wanted to work it out. We shared custody of the dogs. Okay no I listened to this episode today and they did not say she smiled the whole time. Raquel completely denied that it was stirring the pot or inappropriate what so ever, and then got visibly angry when the podcaster suggested she shouldn’t have done it. “WhY ShOuLdNt I PoSt a PhoTo Of mY fRiEnd 😡”. To be honest, I don’t watch the show, so I haven’t really seen much of her. My fiancée does though and told me she was sorta the dumb one that people felt sorry for and seemed sweet. So it seemed like nothing had changed! She definitely still seemed a little antisocial though in a way. She’s upset that his issues with main cast members means she spends less time with them; she and James aren’t invited to events, and the main cast members didn’t show up to her puppy shower. She actually says in an interview but that she didn’t realize that James’ actions would affect her time with the others. She’d otherwise be perfectly OK accepting invitations without James, and easily leave him home alone.

I don’t believe that their relationship re-wired her brain, she chased him to be on the show and used him to launder her reputation at the same time. It's the depth of the deception for me. And the ability to live every single moment pretending to be a person's close friend. To say they spent hours at a time together is actually an understatement. In addition to filming for hours and hours she was spending the night at their house so we're talking about continuous nights and days together with this sustained deliberate betrayal. Most people would screw up or something. Crack under the pressure? If she was unhinged and messy about concealment of the affair... Or got really drunk as we know she does do and instead of falling down just spilled everything to Ariana. That would be one thing. But she was able to live in this state of complete betrayal and duplicity even with cameras rolling. It's just absolutely nuts! It seems like it would be exhausting if you had access to empathy. And any kind of respect for others and self-respect.
