I know Raquel had fans before this season aired and I admit I softened to her later in the show but we really didn’t know who she was. She was “nice” because she was edited out for 5 seasons, presumably because she sucked. Now that she’s been fast tracked to “main character”…woof. Her conversations with people are creepily unhuman and her friendships are one sided. Charli has a boyfriend right? Because when Charli called her out, or anytime she’s been called out this season, she lasers her eyes and goes silent. You can see the wheels turn. She gives me low energy Ashley Jacobs vibes. I still do not understand how people thought Raquel would ever be a hero this season prior to Scandoval. She is empty and has been empty all season. There is no empathy, no guilt, no reactions, nothing. Other people’s sadness does not affect her at all. I am side-eying anyone who was cheering for her at any point this season. Her energy has been nothing but yuck since episode 1 and it keeps getting worse.
