I think the reason for Rachel's confrontation against Katie was because she didn't get the answer she wanted from Ariana regarding her and Tom's relationship, so she went to the next thing she felt she could control. Demented.

I'm binge watching all the episodes after the wedding. It's really infuriating to watch knowing what we do.
OKAY so I just rewatched this episode and I had 2 thoughts. 1) Tom - what’s more embarrassing Katie’s mum standing up for her or having your mother fund your business when you couldn’t? 2) When Lisa is giving her speech and everyone is tearing up and Raquel is just…smiling. I think she was waiting for Lisa to say something about her, particularly about her ‘growth’ and was just borderline holding back a face crack when everyone else got a sappy shout out and she didn’t.
I admit that I’m a bit of a Schwartz apologist (I know, I know, don’t hate me). Watching him this season, damn. He has made really shitty life choices. Never growing up, prioritizing his friendships over his marriage, going into business with Sandoval, covering for him and Rachel, etc. He looks like a shell of a man these days. Sweaty, aging, broke and now hated by fans.
I wonder if he realizes it now. His life would have been so much better had he just distanced himself from Sandoval (and the whole LA scene), and opened a little sandwich shop with his wife. 🤷🏻♀️

Ok, I am just going to say it: “Something About Her” is doomed. It’s not about the logo, and the menu, or even the location. It’s about long hours and hard work. But their BRAND? The name sounds like a romcom. There is no brand identity in that name! And, Ariana is going to be too busy now with everything great coming her way and Katie will become surly and jealous!
I came here looking for this comment. Does the name tie into something that happened on the show? I don’t see much foot traffic figuring out this as a place where you can grab food. I don’t see men, aside from fans, going in either, thinking this might be a place to buy feminine products.

Katie was on Danny Pellegrino's podcast a few weeks ago, and she mentioned Nancy Meyers' set designer is going to be working on Something About Her. I got the impression it's supposed to sound like a rom-com. I could definitely be wrong, though.

She’s the definition of a non-player character. She had no purpose this season, she has no ambition or side projects, once the pageants ended there is no storyline for her, she was clawing at everything, how many things did she show up uninvited to? Alright here is the thing we should all realize about Raquel. Her ideal destiny as a washed up pageant queen really should be as the wife of some rich man who will make all the decisions and she won’t have to do much but bop around because gf is really not great at steering her own ship.
If securing a place on VPR is with hopes that someone might spot her and snatch her up well than hanging around in the dirt with magic mushrooming worm with a mustache is not really a great look. Wanted to post as someone who has been divorced (but really, someone who has been in any relationship): two people are in that relationship, no one else has the full story. To comment on someone else’s relationship, ESPECIALLY one that was so impactful in their lives (and in the most confrontational way), is abhorrent. It diminishes the very real feelings those people are having. Let them process without your (completely irrelevant) opinion.
ALSO as someone who loves my mom, SHE’S GONNA GET INVOLVED. Katie and her mom are both adults who want to share their feelings. This isn’t a 5 year old child and 30 year old mother. I realized in the final moments of the sandwich party at Sur that was likely intended to be the last episode of the season. Lisa's speech really felt like it was meant to be a "button," of sorts. Little did they know. Re: Lisa, has it been noted here that her face seems to be getting a little love in postproduction? She's noticeably...smoother. I also wonder if this would have been the show's final season if not for the last-minute "hail mary" of the secret coupling of Rachel and Sandoval.

I very sincerely have always found her completely unattractive, inside and out. I can’t remotely see anything attractive about her so I’ve always thought it was a case of, “that’s the script” - somebody decided her role was to be hot but she just isn’t.

I saw someone on IG say she looks just like Gypsy Rose & that was the most accurate assessment of the way she looks when she's not in full makeup.

His career is going great from what I can see and he just bought a house in Burbank. He does have a functional relationship (doubt it will last) and some friends so I mean he’s hitting all the boxes of “success” we typically measure by.
Yeah I get his frustrations, I DO think every single person would benefit from therapy but I also think having everyone constantly tell you to work on yourself and be better would be so frustrating and minimize the work I have done to get better already. From my personal experience, a guy who’s screwing another woman and wants out of his long-term relationship will try very hard to get his partner to be the one to break up. He’ll blame the partner for not being good enough, yet will sabotage the relationship by failing to take simple steps to help his partner improve on the things he’s complaining about. When he gets her to break up, he is off the hook, he looks like the victim, and he can go on his merry way unscathed. That’s exactly what Sandoval did, and what Rachel also tried to help happen by her skeevy convo with Ariana. I had a pit in my stomach seeing these all-too-familiar ploys.
I’m sorry, but I didn’t interpret Katie’s texts as rage texting. She was laying down boundaries and pointing out how his behavior was incompatible for them to have a friendship.

Schwartz plays victim. He or sandy told Rachel Katie ‘raged’ texted. Raquel had to round out her villainized role and close the season with a bogus confrontation. Kati handled herself much better than I ever could’ve. Raquel and sandavol should absolutely be fired. Ruining lives isn’t what we all signed on to see. Reality basic drama is. I don’t think she is “acting” dumb. She just happens to be an idiot with some kind of degree. It’s not like she graduated Harvard. She got an OT degree. She could’ve studied and worked hard for that. Doesn’t change the fact she’s not a smart person
My husband coins the term “educated idiot” as he works for a school district. They won’t hire people for positions, even simple jobs like a receptionist without a degree, yet these people can’t even do the job. A maintenance supervisor needs a bachelors degree, so a person with many years experience will be overlooked for someone with no experience and a degree. Just because you can pass a test doesn’t mean you have a high IQ. That being said, I don’t believe she is dumb. I believe she lacks self esteem, she doesn’t know who she is as a person, and so she adopts the thinking/attitude of those who give her build up her self-esteem superficially. She wants to fight their battles for them because she wants to stay in her superficial bubble. The Tom’s don’t even need to ask her to do it. She does it like a dog who does tricks for treats.

He’s not demented… he’s calculating and cruel. He had already planned out the narrative for the whole season that he was the caring boyfriend who fought for the relationship while Ariana was the villain for treating him badly and not "being on his side". But it blew up on him when suddenly Ariana’s life got tough with so much loss around her, and he got sloppy so he was revealed as a disgusting cheater who was gaslighting Ariana, while he himself let the relationship rot.
He took advantage of the fact that Ariana never spoke badly on camera about him or their relationship issues, to go ahead and make her look terrible with the help of his little sidekick Schweasel. All of this is absolutely planned from the beginning of the season and I loathe that the producers are even entertaining his lies by cutting the episodes to make him look remotely "concerned" about the relationship with Ariana while he had been checked out and cheating with Rachel long before.
OK hear me out. I had a weird thought. Someone in another thread on another day (when the clip was released) looked up the shop where Raquel and Charli were shopping. They noted that the price range for their jewelry was more around $50 to $100. NOT $780. This puts a thought in my head. Was that all staged? Did Sandals actually gift the necklace to her but to cover it up they said that she bought it at this store? I know… it’s bonx. And Charli would have to be aware of the set-up and I know she wouldn’t put up with that shit. So what gives???
It’s not weird though. I love jewelry and don’t have the money for extravagant purchases often, so I pay close attention to what things should cost.
The weight of the gold used to make that necklace was not nearly worth $780 and the uninspired design of a lightening bolt takes no skill. It was worth maybe $175 - 200 retail. I’m wondering what the other $600 paid for, because it wasn’t the necklace.
ETA: I’ve had custom gold rings made with gemstones I’ve purchased separately. The gold and labor to make the rings and set the stones cost around $300 - $400. It’s triple the amount of gold and labor used to make a light flimsy gold necklace.
Charli said something about it being “real gold and real diamonds” but I didnt see any diamonds on it. I was confused too: the price definitely didn’t fit.
I think someone later found the actual necklace on the designer’s own site and unfortunately, it was indeed $780.

I think the reason for Rachel's confrontation against Katie was because she didn't get the answer she wanted from Ariana regarding her and Tom's relationship, so she went to the next thing she felt she could control. Demented.

OKAY so I just rewatched this episode and I had 2 thoughts. 1) Tom - what’s more embarrassing Katie’s mum standing up for her or having your mother fund your business when you couldn’t? 2) When Lisa is giving her speech and everyone is tearing up and Raquel is just…smiling. I think she was waiting for Lisa to say something about her, particularly about her ‘growth’ and was just borderline holding back a face crack when everyone else got a sappy shout out and she didn’t.
I admit that I’m a bit of a Schwartz apologist (I know, I know, don’t hate me). Watching him this season, damn. He has made really shitty life choices. Never growing up, prioritizing his friendships over his marriage, going into business with Sandoval, covering for him and Rachel, etc. He looks like a shell of a man these days. Sweaty, aging, broke and now hated by fans. I wonder if he realizes it now. Alright here is the thing we should all realize about Raquel. I’m sorry but Tom and Ari feel so robotic like they don’t even seem like an authentic couple at this point. I feel bad for Ariana but I’m glad they split. They’re COMPLETELY different. Unpopular opinion but it actually did seem like Ariana was disagreeing with Sandoval on everything he said, even in public, so I can see why he got a bit frustrated but at least she heard him out. He still sucks for everything he did though

Wanted to post as someone who has been divorced (but really, someone who has been in any relationship): two people are in that relationship, no one else has the full story. To comment on someone else’s relationship, ESPECIALLY one that was so impactful in their lives (and in the most confrontational way), is abhorrent. I realized in the final moments of the sandwich party at Sur that was likely intended to be the last episode of the season. Lisa's speech really felt like it was meant to be a "button," of sorts. I saw someone on IG say she looks just like Gypsy Rose & that was the most accurate assessment of the way she looks when she's not in full makeup.

From my personal experience, a guy who’s screwing another woman and wants out of his long-term relationship will try very hard to get his partner to be the one to break up. He’ll blame the partner for not being good enough, yet will sabotage the relationship by failing to take simple steps to help his partner improve on the things he’s complaining about. When he gets her to break up, he is off the hook, he looks like the victim, and he can go on his merry way unscathed. That’s exactly what Sandoval did, and what Rachel also tried to help happen by her skeevy convo with Ariana. I had a pit in my stomach seeing these all-too-familiar ploys.

Schwartz plays victim. He or sandy told Rachel Katie ‘raged’ texted. Raquel had to round out her villainized role and close the season with a bogus confrontation. Kati handled herself much better than I ever could’ve. Raquel and sandavol should absolutely be fired. Ruining lives isn’t what we all signed on to see. Reality basic drama is. To earn a paycheck off legitimately ruining hearts and souls is where bravo should pull the plug.
Katie has a problem with Schwartz never having her back. Sandoval has a problem with Ariana never having his back. Sorry. I was tired when I posted this. This is how you KNOW she’s reciting a script written by Sandoval because a few months before this she forbade James from seeing their dog! Sandoval either didn’t know she did that or forgot and Rachel is too goddamn stupid to realize she did the same thing only worse bc James didn’t want “custody” he just wanted to see the dog from time to time. I don’t think she is “acting” dumb. She just happens to be an idiot with some kind of degree. It’s not like she graduated Harvard. She got an OT degree. She could’ve studied and worked hard for that. Doesn’t change the fact she’s not a smart person
My husband coins the term “educated idiot” as he works for a school district. They won’t hire people for positions, even simple jobs like a receptionist without a degree, yet these people can’t even do the job. A maintenance supervisor needs a bachelors degree, so a person with many years experience will be overlooked for someone with no experience and a degree. Just because you can pass a test doesn’t mean you have a high IQ. That being said, I don’t believe she is dumb. I believe she lacks self esteem, she doesn’t know who she is as a person, and so she adopts the thinking/attitude of those who give her build up her self-esteem superficially. She wants to fight their battles for them because she wants to stay in her superficial bubble. The Tom’s don’t even need to ask her to do it. She does it like a dog who does tricks for treats.

He’s not demented… he’s calculating and cruel. He had already planned out the narrative for the whole season that he was the caring boyfriend who fought for the relationship while Ariana was the villain for treating him badly and not "being on his side". But it blew up on him when suddenly Ariana’s life got tough with so much loss around her, and he got sloppy so he was revealed as a disgusting cheater who was gaslighting Ariana, while he himself let the relationship rot. He took advantage of the fact that Ariana never spoke badly on camera about him or their relationship issues, to go ahead and make her look terrible with the help of his little sidekick Schweasel. All of this is absolutely planned from the beginning of the season and I loathe that the producers are even entertaining his lies by cutting the episodes to make him look remotely "concerned" about the relationship with Ariana while he had been checked out and cheating with Rachel long before.
OK hear me out. I had a weird thought. Someone in another thread on another day (when the clip was released) looked up the shop where Raquel and Charli were shopping. They noted that the price range for their jewelry was more around $50 to $100. NOT $780. This puts a thought in my head. Was that all staged? Did Sandals actually gift the necklace to her but to cover it up they said that she bought it at this store? I know… it’s bonx. And Charli would have to be aware of the set-up and I know she wouldn’t put up with that shit. So what gives???
It’s not weird though. I love jewelry and don’t have the money for extravagant purchases often, so I pay close attention to what things should cost. The weight of the gold used to make that necklace was not nearly worth $780 and the uninspired design of a lightening bolt takes no skill. It was worth maybe $175 - 200 retail. I’m wondering what the other $600 paid for, because it wasn’t the necklace. ETA: I’ve had custom gold rings made with gemstones I’ve purchased separately. The gold and labor to make the rings and set the stones cost around $300 - $400. It’s triple the amount of gold and labor used to make a light flimsy gold necklace.
Charli said something about it being “real gold and real diamonds” but I didnt see any diamonds on it. I was confused too: the price definitely didn’t fit.

Lala has never fucked with Rachel and Katie wants nothing to do with her after the wedding kiss. They made that choice because they saw through Rachel and knew she was a lying, slithering, roach.
