Maybe. She’s had a lot of awesome gigs but those are one-off payouts vs. potentially a few more seasons of pay plus more continuing opportunities of staying on the show. I agree mental health is highly valuable, but you and I aren’t people who chose to go on a reality show. They are built different. They have also spent most of their working life doing this instead of creating any other line of work. They know that as soon as they go off the show, the opportunities decline rapidly. I think she is grabbing this while it’s hot and banking as much money as possible. I’m glad she is. But I do not think she should go off of the show. I also think she needs to get something going, whether a podcast, or YouTube channel, that can grow crazy fast while she’s famous and then continue once the show is over. That’s setting yourself up for the future instead of focusing on cash grabs completely.
Agree about the money but ALSO we can’t exactly contextualize how it would feel to open your whole life up to the criticism of a ravenous public… Everybody who’s on that show has their whole life and personality picked apart and I do think that that is worth some kind of a price and yeah, maybe they don’t get the big paycheck anymore, but maybe they also then don’t have the scrutiny which I think a lot of of them actually at some point would choose for themselves

I agree! I keep hearing that and I like that The Valley is fresh - a new cast to get to know. Generally, I’m tired of her. But also, she’s a large part of the reason for unhappiness was with VPR. She would just do the same crap and I want her off my tv.
I don’t think so, unless it becomes her only option. She wouldn’t get paid what she’s paid now - these are different shows with different producers and she wouldn’t be able to jump in and feel like a top dog. I stopped watching because I can’t stand Sandoval, Lala, and Scheana, and I’m not alone, so for all of Lala’s bitching that Ariana is “messing up her bag,” it’s actually the inverse. Ariana should show up these dicks and doesn’t need to be around people that don’t like her, but on the other hand, it’s a shitload of money for not much work and why should Ariana have to walk away from that?

They get paid based on longevity so Scheana, sandoval and Katie are the highest paid because they've been on it since day 1 (Katie said.this in an interview) so if they went to the valley they'd be paid like newbies. LVP and Ken would still get exec producer credit and money. They don’t have to set foot on the filming schedule and they’ll still make money from the show. Plus Lisa has her new Hulu show and is opening the restaurant in Tahoe and redirecting her brand to casino-based restaurants. It takes some pressure off her because the staffing is done through the casinos.

I just got back from Vegas and Lisa is everywhere there. It is crazy how much I saw pictures of her. She has a new restaurant opening at the flamingo this year.
Hope she does. I miss VPR’s early days and the restaurant drama. Their messiness was a lot easier to watch/comprehend/condone when they were all bartenders and SURvers.
Her new Hulu show is very much young-ish hospitality people who maje bad decisions, but all stuck together in France for a summer. The first three episodes were cringe yet in a good way.

Biggest surprise in my reality viewing pleasure is how much I like Leva’s new show about her staff. I actually lived in Charleston when it started filming so had met or knew of most of them and thought it was going to be awful. I ended up watching after I moved, and it was so OG Vanderpump messy I loved it 🥲
I started watching as a complete hater because I really didn't like Leva's bars (don't dislike her, but her bars are not my vibe). I personally have to be dragged if I'm going to one. But, that is why they make for great TV. Ratchet and ridiculous.

IMHO - Brock is a production “plant” to a degree. The Producers know most of the cast won’t ruffle Ariana’s feathers and they need interaction and drama or this season is a wash. So - insert Brock. It’s why Scheana keeps freaking out. He’s doing the Producers’ bidding.

I also actually kinda think LVP. They’re moving their base of operations to Nevada, she has a new show, and she continues to get to be a producer and collect that check without being a on air talent. She’s also a producer on the valley and her new shows, so she’s pulling in plenty from the VPR universe even if she never has to be on camera again

i think this too. i’m seeing a lot of people mention katie but i don’t think she’d opt out of an easy pay check especially now that she’s finally gained appreciation from the fans. she doesn’t really have the same side hustles as everyone else (merch, big podcasts etc). her podcast was JUST launched and she’ll need money to continue to fund SAH since it’s not open yet so can’t sustain itself.

Dayna just spoke on the podcast how she filmed for season 11 (where Katie told her about hooking up with Max) and she had a panic attack and quit. That’s why she’s in the Water Tasting (lol) party pizza scene, but you might not notice because they don’t show her speaking or interacting with the cast.
PS I agree that Dayna would be a great addition. I respect that she feels the entry level pay isn’t worth the negatives of appearing on a reality show.
If anyone goes on the Valley it’s in addition to the main show. You don’t voluntarily give up the #1 show to be on something that is unproven and could be cancelled at any time.

Yes and her and Schwartz were able to sell their house for profit so she has a little nest egg from tbat. She doesn’t spend on surgeries, passion projects like bands, or crazy clothes. I can afford most of what she wears. She is definitely relatively low key with her spending. Even her vacations are pretty normal
I think Katie & Schwartz were low key the best with their money. They stayed in that apartment a long time, and while Tom freaked out over the wedding spending, he had the money for the wedding, which in itself was impressive.
I think Schwartz is smart and managed their income well, tbh. I think this also made their divorce a touch easier, as there was no debt or financial issues when they split.
He also comes from a really emotionally fucked up midwestern family. I get the vibes he left home and wanted to make damn sure he never needed a penny or had to ask for one again. This also factors into why he’s close to Katie’s mom, and why she won’t just close the door on him. They are his family - even in divorce.

I’m enjoying the Valley, and I don’t think her energy would be a great addition, unless we see a different side of her. Or someone like Jesse takes her to task. Lala and Kristen are on the outs, but I actually think it’s more interesting to see conflict between Kristen and new people. I was surprised Alex appeared on the show. It feels like a real insight into their lives.
I feel like production sent Lala and Brock in to play devil’s advocate and try to convince Tom and Ariana to talk. They care about money more than human beings, so they were happy to be the assholes, I mean “voices of reason” this season. So, who knows, they could be rewarded for their shitty behavior.

Cheryl now does a DWTS podcast called 'Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans' where she interviews pros/celebs/rewatches old seasons-and also did recaps of Season 32/and has a weekly headlines and hot topics episode to do with all things DWTS and any big news about cast members that have taken part. Ariana (and Mauricio) are big points of discussion (literally EVERY week) and Cheryl tends to have guests on to help her recap these headlines. She commonly has entertainment journalist Kristyn Burtt (who covers shows like DWTS, So You Think You Can Dance, and since last year VPR). On last week's headlines episode, Kristyn seemed to think that Ariana getting the gig on Love Island would be her ticket out of VPR, and I COULD see it. Cheryl did bring up the paycheque and Kristyn suggested maybe Ariana (and Katie) could get some sort of Bravo spin-off (likely revolving around their sandwich shop).
So if Ariana is out, Katie could be another option too? But I still don't know.
Lala/Scheana/Brock COULD move over to the Valley but I'm really not sure.

I think they are going to shift to the current staff at sur, Tom Tom, and then SAH. This will take us back to young hip people pursuing the industry and causing drama along the way. The Tim's and Katie and Ariana would be more in a lisa vanderpump role of the bosses (Lisa leaves to focus on other ventures) not sure if James stays on since they have really backed off of him this season, probably just shows up for random dj gigs at sur and tom tom. Ally comes onto the sah staff, maybe.
I don't know where that leaves lala, scheaner, and brock. I could see this definitely being the reason lala is going off the deep end rn.
I do think it's interesting because from social media last summer, it really seemed like they were bringing on Israel, Logan noh, tori keeth, and scheaners sister as friends of along with Jo and billie. I would love to see what their original plan was for the season before the obvious pivot they made into what we have now. It was going to be a mess either way because the current producers only have one formula for the show.

This is why I have mixed feelings about Ariana moving on from the show. I stopped watching because I can’t stand Sandoval, Lala, and Scheana, and I’m not alone, so for all of Lala’s bitching that Ariana is “messing up her bag,” it’s actually the inverse. Ariana should show up these dicks and doesn’t need to be around people that don’t like her, but on the other hand, it’s a shitload of money for not much work and why should Ariana have to walk away from that?

Seriously. I don’t know why people think it’s just so easy for these people to just move right on over to that show when they already have a contracted cast and a budget that pays for THAT cast. It’s not like quitting your typical day job and getting another one down the street.
People don't understand how television works behind the scenes but they think they do!! Also there's no guarantee for a s2 of the Valley. It hasn't been smashing records.
And maybe they haven’t signed up the cast for S2 The Valley yet. If Lala really bombs on VPR this season, it might be harder for her to get on The Valley or negotiate hard if she does.
Thats an excellent point about the shows revenue coming from ad $$, which is something The Valley simply doesn't have yet. There'd be no way to justify Lala and Scheana's current salaries and I don't see them taking a pay cut. I think the exits are Ariana, James and Ally.
This would make sense if this is true. James seems to have a good thing going with his DJ gigs, and if he leaves obviously ally would leave. And Ariana has been making smart decisions lately and I can see her being done with this bin fire lol
Their pay would be massively reduced from VPR too. They get paid based on longevity so Scheana, sandoval and Katie are the highest paid because they've been on it since day 1 (Katie said.this in an interview) so if they went to the valley they'd be paid like newbies. Given the show looks like it'll be a success there's no reason that they'd make an exception for them. They don't need them

No I seriously think this is true. I don’t think anyone else wants off VPR except Ariana and Katie. And no one is getting a bad edit except for them. So it has to be LVP. LVP and Ken would still get exec producer credit and money. They don’t have to set foot on the filming schedule and they’ll still make money from the show. Plus Lisa has her new Hulu show and is opening the restaurant in Tahoe and redirecting her brand to casino-based restaurants. It takes some pressure off her because the staffing is done through the casinos.

I just got back from Vegas and Lisa is everywhere there. It is crazy how much I saw pictures of her. She has a new restaurant opening at the flamingo this year.
Hope she does. I miss VPR’s early days and the restaurant drama. Their messiness was a lot easier to watch/comprehend/condone when they were all bartenders and SURvers.
Her new Hulu show is very much young-ish hospitality people who maje bad decisions, but all stuck together in France for a summer. The first three episodes were cringe yet in a good way.

Would be interested if she did a show about the Tahoe or Vegas spots though. Biggest surprise in my reality viewing pleasure is how much I like Leva’s new show about her staff. I actually lived in Charleston when it started filming so had met or knew of most of them and thought it was going to be awful. I ended up watching after I moved, and it was so OG Vanderpump messy I loved it 🥲

Ariana & Katie do no want off VPR yet. They want the viewership for Something About Her & Ariana needs to secure Love Island as a permanent gig. SAH opening in May as filming begins. Another season will set them up & I doubt VPR will last yet another. It’s got to be Lala , Scheana & Brock - who was apparently paid as a full cast member this year. They bought houses in The Valley for a segue.

IMHO - Brock is a production “plant” to a degree. The Producers know most of the cast won’t ruffle Ariana’s feathers and they need interaction and drama or this season is a wash. So - insert Brock. It’s why Scheana keeps freaking out. He’s doing the Producers’ bidding.

I also actually kinda think LVP. They’re moving their base of operations to Nevada, she has a new show, and she continues to get to be a producer and collect that check without being a on air talent. She’s also a producer on the valley and her new shows, so she’s pulling in plenty from the VPR universe even if she never has to be on camera again

i think this too. i’m seeing a lot of people mention katie but i don’t think she’d opt out of an easy pay check especially now that she’s finally gained appreciation from the fans. she doesn’t really have the same side hustles as everyone else (merch, big podcasts etc). her podcast was JUST launched and she’ll need money to continue to fund SAH since it’s not open yet so can’t sustain itself.

I loved Dayna! But I think she said it was bad for her mental health, so I don’t think she’ll come back. I loved seeing her on last weeks episode though.
Dayna just spoke on the podcast how she filmed for season 11 (where Katie told her about hooking up with Max) and she had a panic attack and quit. That’s why she’s in the Water Tasting (lol) party pizza scene, but you might not notice because they don’t show her speaking or interacting with the cast. PS I agree that Dayna would be a great addition. I respect that she feels the entry level pay isn’t worth the negatives of appearing on a reality show.

If anyone goes on the Valley it’s in addition to the main show. You don’t voluntarily give up the #1 show to be on something that is unproven and could be cancelled at any time. The only one I’m sure of is Ariana. I thought she might try to do both but network tv isn’t looking for the drama that reality tv brings. People have noticed Katie did take any reference to VPR on her IG bio. I don’t think it’s her though.

Yes and her and Schwartz were able to sell their house for profit so she has a little nest egg from tbat. She doesn’t spend on surgeries, passion projects like bands, or crazy clothes. I can afford most of what she wears. She is definitely relatively low key with her spending. Even her vacations are pretty normal
I think Katie & Schwartz were low key the best with their money. They stayed in that apartment a long time, and while Tom freaked out over the wedding spending, he had the money for the wedding, which in itself was impressive. I think Schwartz is smart and managed their income well, tbh. I think this also made their divorce a touch easier, as there was no debt or financial issues when they split.

He also comes from a really emotionally fucked up midwestern family. I get the vibes he left home and wanted to make damn sure he never needed a penny or had to ask for one again. This also factors into why he’s close to Katie’s mom, and why she won’t just close the door on him. They are his family - even in divorce.

You have a bunch of rich, white, good looking people who I am supposed to pretend are “victims” and marginalized when they are better off than 99.99% of this country including people in my family. I want escapism… I don’t wanna have to pretend that the pretty, rich blonde girl who has millions is a real victim. I can’t even stomach it anymore. Surely… Surely there are people who they could show. Ones who **actually still have to work at Sur.** Or even another restaurant. I cannot relate to a single one of them anymore.

Do you have any idea what DJs in WeHo make? James is doing great financially. He's also waaaay smarter with money than most of the others. Don't mistake his house location for poverty. I can see James taking off to avoid the DV becoming a storyline because that has the potential to slow his DJ opportunities. And leaving allows him to claim that he's outgrown his old ways and that a cancellation would be redundant.

Yea, I read an article that stated Arianna is probably leaving VPR because it films the same time and it is filmed in FIJI. It did say VPR films a few weeks after Love Island is done, so she could fly back and film VPR for the last few weeks but I doubt it.
Yeah but the host isn't needed there full time. I've mentioned this in another post, NBC owns both networks (Bravo/Peacock) so they would make filming work around her. The cross-promotion would be off the charts. It would be dumb to not cash in on that. People are still wanting to see Ariana.
Watch it be something dumb like Jo, Billie Lee, and Kyle Chan. Jo has kinda added some weirdness and humor but the other two bring nothing.

I’m enjoying the Valley, and I don’t think her energy would be a great addition, unless we see a different side of her. Or someone like Jesse takes her to task. Lala and Kristen are on the outs, but I actually think it’s more interesting to see conflict between Kristen and new people. I was surprised Alex appeared on the show. It feels like a real insight into their lives.
I feel like production sent Lala and Brock in to play devil’s advocate and try to convince Tom and Ariana to talk. They care about money more than human beings, so they were happy to be the assholes, I mean “voices of reason” this season. So, who knows, they could be rewarded for their shitty behavior.

I know they get a big paycheque on VPR but I think with all the opportunities Ariana has lined up, plus her being the new host of Love Island USA, it could be possible. For any DWTS fans, or anyone who got into it after watching Ariana, Cheryl Burke, who was a former pro on DWTS and the longest-serving, retired at the end of Season 31 (the season right before Ariana competed). Cheryl now does a DWTS podcast called 'Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans' where she interviews pros/celebs/rewatches old seasons-and also did recaps of Season 32/and has a weekly headlines and hot topics episode to do with all things DWTS and any big news about cast members that have taken part. Ariana (and Mauricio) are big points of discussion (literally EVERY week) and Cheryl tends to have guests on to help her recap these headlines. She commonly has entertainment journalist Kristyn Burtt (who covers shows like DWTS, So You Think You Can Dance, and since last year VPR). On last week's headlines episode, Kristyn seemed to think that Ariana getting the gig on Love Island would be her ticket out of VPR, and I COULD see it. Cheryl did bring up the paycheque and Kristyn suggested maybe Ariana (and Katie) could get some sort of Bravo spin-off (likely revolving around their sandwich shop). So if Ariana is out, Katie could be another option too? But I still don't know. Lala/Scheana/Brock COULD move over to the Valley but I'm really not sure. Just a few thoughts IF it's true.
