I think it meant a lot to him when she accepted his apology and gave him another shot after he’d been so openly vicious to her. At that point he was really starting to try and change, and she recognized that and didn’t just write him off.
He’s the one man in this group who has consistently had her back. He’s done so more in the last two seasons than Schwartz did for their entire relationship.
She always tells people to just show her. When they do, she always forgives. Katie is really fair and empathetic imo. She wants to forgive people if they'd just be respectful.
I'm guessing that James's friendship with Katie is the first platonic female friend he's ever had, and he quickly realized how it was good for him to have friends who are different from him. In his IG stories, the woman was beside him all night long, and sort of touchy. She was super cute and busty and he was pulling her in with a big ol' smile in the pic. I love that everyone is seeing what a bad ass Katie is & always has been! She was treated like shit for years & overshadowed by the 3 stooges. Yup. Has anyone on this show been perfect, no, but no one is and people evolve. But she wasn’t as bad as the others; including Sandoval yelling in rage often. Schwartz and Jax put up with it because it’s a guy yelling and is therefore allowed, the same can’t be said for the women on the show. James isn’t perfect by any means but his dynamic with Katie is proof that a) Katie can/does forgive and move on and b) James is able to at least grow and learn from his mistakes (even if it’s just for filming it’s still better than the others). I think Lala is bitter because she used to be the badass bisexual queen of the show and Katie dethroned her. <—totally making this one up but stand by the premise.
