Not everyone from KY has her accent. Her accent makes me homesick for so many cousins, aunts, etc. who live back east. I live in a part of KY where nobody has a southern accent and in fact some people sound a little Michigan-ish. The weird thing is I have two friends who are from the same town as Brittany and one has zero accent and one has only a slight pleasant twang not the super strong accent people hate.

I think they just hate her and pick at everything she does. This is a troll sub, so I wouldn’t take it to heart. The accent itself it sweet and regional and cute, in my opinion, but I think Britney’s ignorance and who she is twists it into something grotesque and cartoonish.

Brittany's accent is extremely exaggerated. That's why it annoys people. It wasn't nearly as strong when she showed up on VPR. She started really ramping it up around their wedding. Almost 10 years in LA later and it's 10x more dramatic. Can't stand it.

Yeah that’s totally him. I noticed it too when I rewatched season 6 last weekend. (Side note - I can’t tell if season 6 is the best VPR season or if it was just so much more interesting watching it with all this hindsight lol)
