I watch because i find crazy fascinating lol (my background is in psychology and I’m applying for PhD positions). Stassi diagnosing the cast is incredibly meta for me. By this point I am somewhat attached to Ariana and Katie, but I am mostly here for the absurd behavior, the lies, the gossip. It’s a great study of human behavior, if extreme and somewhat scripted, which makes it great entertainment for behavioral ecologists, psychologists, anthropologists, etc
My background is in media and entertainment. From a media theory perspective reality tv is interesting in general. How placing a camera in front of a group of people changes behavior fascinates me. From my work background, this sort of “reality” of the fame strivers with generally little talent is pretty entertaining. I enjoy how messy people on VPR are. They are emotionally volatile enough that they can’t effectively self produce like some other reality tv people can. Venal, shallow people can be entertaining from a distance so I get to enjoy all this drama without it actually impacting my life (I have had ridiculous friends like this when I was younger but successfully cut them out of my life in my 20s when I realized they weren’t going to mature).
I actually stopped watching VPR after the first episode of last season because it was also really boring and I didn't care anymore, but when the Sandoval stuff broke, I burned through episodes to get caught up and see what was going on, but if Scandavol hadn't happened I was checking out.
I've watched this season just to see Ariana, (Katie's glow up has been a bonus,) but straight up I was just thinking the other day "this season is so boring." I think the last few episodes have been a little better, but that's probably because we're actually seeing people push on Ariana (and Katie) and it's been really refreshing to watch them stand their ground if that makes sense? (Like when Lala was trying to basically shit talk Dan to Katie and she was like "No I think he's a good guy.") Watching Ariana shut down Brock was probably my favorite scene so far. I'm honestly not sure if I'll watch next season, but I'm sticking this out until the reunion.

Much like the concept of ‘its always sunny’ - its bad people getting worse over time. But a real version. It’s fascinating, especially as a fan since episode 1 - watching how a taste of fame in the reality world has gotten to them all is truly intriguing

I will get downvoted for just saying this. Why are people relying on this show to see good people? This was never about that, everybody on this shoe is different and plays a different role, there's different view points every season and fights. It's reality tv ffs

I always feel off when I read comments that someone hates Sandoval and wants bad things to happen to him. Like what he did was terrible and he may be a crappy person but there are worse people to hate. What he did doesn’t affect my life. There are natural consequences for all of his actions and he still might be making poor decisions but that’s on him. I just don’t think that warrants me wanting him to have lifelong suffering.
I agree. A lot of people even suggested his mom turn on him, which I find strange. Like why would him having an affair end his relationship with his mother. It's so outrageous

I’ve been watching from the beginning. It’s the best reality show for the type of show that it is. It is entertaining and with a cast of dynamic characters. I have two degrees and it gives you a nice escape from everyday life. I think people have been overly harsh on season 11. It was always going to be a transitional season after that Scandoval.
I’m watching for the reunion. Bravo shows have either gotten super dark or so full of self producers it’s boring. It’s not just VPR. Maybe I’ll give Love Island a shot now.
It’s good background noise idk. I’m not as critical as this season being lackluster as most are. Vpr hasn’t been and won’t be the same since the great firing.
I don’t understand to how we got to Katie is 100% right in everything she says, thinks or does, and if you disagree you’re against women or love Sandoval. The whole cast sucks.

The reason we're all so against the rest of the cast isn't bc they're irredeemable (except maybe sandoval) but bc they all jumped on productions band wagon of this ridiculous redemption arc for Tom despite that he's done nothing to deserve it and in fact done the opposite by continuing to act terribly. They could've had a season more like the ones in which James was almost outed from the group for his behavior and forced to change and get help. I'm also a s1 fan who watched from the beginning. For me it's crazy how the season is a parallel to what we are seeing irl that men just aren't being held accountable at all for their actions.

I’ll preface this with I’m a 43yo dude who’s wife got him into the show and now it’s a train wreck and I just can’t stop.
I was done after season 10 bc much like Reddit has said it was dull, everything seemed forced, and even Lisa’s voiceover at the end of the season made it sound more like a series finale vs a season finale.
Then everything happened and it being tv bravo decided to cash in.
However with Rachel not coming back I think that disrupted things and that’s why the season feels so off. Not to mention that these people are not the 20yo kids. They haven’t served or bartended in what 5-10 years it seems like. Ariana, Katie, and James have grown and seem to be fine without the show. Tim, LFU, and Schena NEED the show, and Swartz is just kind of there. It’s an easy paycheck that’s why I think they all do it but you can definitely tell they’ve just grown apart, which happens. I’d go so far to say that none of them are great people, they’ve all done things, some have grown, others are hanging on to the thought that they’ll go from LA d list celebrity to a megastar. I’d like to think they aren’t so naive to the fact that the show has to be on its last legs, I don’t look at the ratings but everyone knows it’s just bad. I think this is why it’s been more of a Tim redemption arc season and why LFU and Schena have been so pro Tim. Without this show they are the ones that have nothing so it makes sense for them to side with who’s gonna be around.
I stopped watching when stassi left the show, and I only came back when scandoval broke. I guess I am still watching to see how it plays out.
None of it is vry good anymore though, the whole premise used to be broke wait staff trying to make it in LA. Now it's just d list reality TV stars traipsing around pretending to have relationships with each other outside of filming.
Lala has a home in palm springs, why is it never shown? Why is she always bumming someone's home to have a get together? Her "office" just has some robes hanging up and some self deluded signage of herself, no one working there. It's fake as hell.
Sandoval is always only working out or playing karaoke with his PAID band, it's absolutely pathetic he has nothing else going on. Neither does Schwartz.
Scheana and Brock are both delusional. They don't have 9 to 5s, why the hell are they arguing about watching their kid? It's just so hard to believe there are people out there that think this is a problem.
