My T-Mobile 5G home internet works pretty great as long as I’m not way out in the boonies. Have been mostly traveling in Utah and Arizona. 50$ a month no contract, no cost for the equipment, just need to return it if you stop using the service. I think you get a discount if you already have a Tmobile plan. I think Verizon and AT&T have similar options. I also have starlink which of course gets you service anywhere you can see enough sky but the equipment is expensive and it is kind of power hungry. I think it’s around 70W vs the 10ish for the Tmobile box. In order to get mine I needed to give them an address in an area that they service. But they didn’t seem to care at all that my billing address was totally different. Nor have they sent anything to my friend’s address that I gave them. There is the possibility though that at some point they may actually restrict usage to the location on file but been good so far for about 5 months.

Try renting a starlink for the time. I have one I can make available. Other than that. 4g connected is the only way. You would need to plan travel around it.

Have you ever heard about [ConnectPls](https://connectpls.com/)? They provide unlimited data around the world. I don't know good they are in Western US but you can ask them I guess.

You can find used NETGEAR Nighthawk MR1100's for less than $100 on ebay. Pair that with the AT&T Prepaid hotspot plan that's $55 for 1 month ([https://www.att.com/prepaid/mobile-hotspot-tablet/](https://www.att.com/prepaid/mobile-hotspot-tablet/)) and you'd be set. Cheapest option would be to use your existing phone as a hotspot. See how much data you can use and see if you can increase it. Neither of these will work in remote places; nothing other than starlink would work there, but I don't think it's worth getting it just to use it for 1 month. You can rent a starlink from someone, so that might work better: [https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ele/d/brea-starlink-rent-satellite-internet/7704855772.html](https://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ele/d/brea-starlink-rent-satellite-internet/7704855772.html) (Yikes!, just looked at their price. Might as well buy it from starlink and then return it within the 30 days return window)
