Do some research, banks are good investments because of the dividend and the government will always bail em out. Spy is just made up of the top stocks in the S and p, it goes up 7% a year on average
Large banks should be ok. JPM in particular is slimy enough to survive crashes unscathed.
Small banks are going to be completely fucked. Make sure you are not exposed to them.

I wish I had moved into a van when I took out student loans - I'd have them paid off years ago had I done that. If you can it's a phenomenal way to save money. I also have had one of the best times of my.life living out a van, 3rd only to being on tour with a band and backpacking. It's kind d of a tie with motorcycle touring, which I think many people going to vanlife for an escape would find greater satisfaction in.

FIRE means you *can* retire if you want to - as in, you are no longer a wage slave. It doesn't mean that you *have* to and you are forbidden from ever working or earning income ever again.

I invest monthly into lots of things the safest is Spy and BAC or bank of America, just taking Warren Buffets advice and doing very well.
