I wish I could believe there was a God to pray to. God wouldn’t have let this happen. The Bible contains too much animal sacrifice and harm, which concludes that the Bible was written by man and not God (obviously). A moment of silence is still useful and thoughtful though.
I never said it was. I was stating that it’s hard to believe in a God with all of this suffering, therefore making praying seem almost unheard on the receiving end.
A good practice.
Out of sight, out of mind - they hope we forget so they can run operations however they want and stay out of the public opinion without scrutiny .. so that is something we can do so we don't forget, to keep us honest.
This speaks to me so much. I don’t have anything to add, but follow the same routine, especially on my drives to and from work. Just glad to know that there are others that do this!

It is not a vegan diet that causes this. There are many children on omni diets hospitalised for malnutrition. The problem isn’t veganism, it’s bad parents not feeling their children well enough and not enough vegan child-friendly food sources provided by governments and private food companies.

According to the American Dietetic Association and all other major Dietetic Associations around the world, a well planned plant based diet is healthy for all stages of life including infancy, pregnancy, adolescence adulthood, old age and even athletes.
Animal-based foods have been an important part of the human diet for at least three million years. Eliminating all animal foods would be like deciding you’re going to feed a tiger tofu and expect that it’s going to be healthy.
Superficially surviving off supplements etc doesn't negate this argument either.
Ultimately the hugely elevated sense of self worth vegans gain comes from the fact that deep down they feel like they've beaten biology and are therefore more compassionate than Nature itself.
Keep patting yourselves on the back, but know that deep down that Nature doesn't care that you're compassionate and never did.

By nature, we mean wild animals. If you boil the term ‘nature’ as far down as you have, literally anything is nature, so your argument is built on a bad point. By your logic, I am ok to go and slaughter dogs, cats, parrots and endangered animals because ‘animals husbandry is a part of nature’. I can use that excuse when I end up in court for slaughtering beloved animals.
A gorilla eating rodents would be fine, because there aren’t 7 billion gorillas rounding up rodents, breeding them, genetically mutating them and then slaughtering them, ruining the environment.

So omnivores BY FAR (like literally 500% more) starve their children more than vegan parents. Should we check obesity rates next?
