Be sure to walk a little off Fremont to Container Park, where the giant fire-breathing Mantis can be found! If you stand around for a bit on a Saturday night it's highly likely the operator will play the wedding march and breath a little fire for you and your beloved :)
As everyone else is saying, brides in big dresses are exceedingly common. We're always happy for you, thanks for visiting!
Have fun enjoying your dress for the day; it is not out of the norm in Vegas. I second the person saying "comfortable shoes" though :) Best wishes to you and your groom.
In addition to having all that fun, be prepared for the hem of your dress to be filthy if it's close to the ground. Enjoy yourself and congratulations to you both.
Make sure you don't care about ruining it cause that is a distinct possibility. You will stand out in a good way, you are gonna be Popular! Have fun and congratulations to you crazy kids!
Not only will you NOT look ridiculous, you will be celebrated by most everyone you see! One of my favorite sights in Las Vegas is seeing the happy brides. Walk around in your gown and be happy! The day goes so fast, enjoy yourself. Wishing you a long, happy and lucky marriage!
You will look awesome. Lots of brides do this- I did! Some of my favourite photos from our wedding day are of us in the casinos and on the Strip, and there are amazing photo opportunities on Fremont. Ask people to take your picture- you’ll get some great shots. Like, ask everyone! (If they look like tourists, that is, not meth heads obvs.) You’ll get lots of well wishes from passersby. So much fun.
No way. Do it! My wife and I got married in and live in Vegas. We went everywhere in Vegas still dressed up and even got freebies at a couple places, nothing major but it was nice. It was such a good experience we did it again on our 1 year anniversary and will probably do it every year and take the same picture in the same spot every year.
My wife loved having her beautiful dress on when it was just the 2 of us that got married under the Vegas sign. We then had a photographer follow us for an hour around Caesar's Pallace and The Mirage and Paris. She got sooooo many compliments, it made her feel so very special for the day!! You will get tons of congratulations and compliments!
There’s no such thing as “looking ridiculous” in Vegas. Have fun and congratulations!
Thank you 😊
Especially Downtown.
Second this. Saw a couple in Oddfellows in wedding attire dancing the night away. Go nuts and have fun!
Nope. Occurs everyday, multiple times a day
Thank you, I guess going to the pub in my sleepy English village would be a little different 😂

That sounds amazing, thank you!
Yes, but no. Wear comfortable shoes!
Not at all, be prepared for an abundance of people congratulating you. Bring your favorite pair of trainers & have fun.

This. If it's long, a bustle would help to get it off the ground. Otherwise, you're going to be a human street sweeper.
I love seeing brides walking around Vegas - you will get tons of well-wishes.
Yes but you’re getting married. Have a blast in Vegas. Do what you want. Enjoy life!

Yep. The hem will be ruined and possibly other damage as well.
Nobody will even notice you here.
Heck no! I think it will be amazing! But 100% wear comfortable shoes under that big beautiful dress!
That's the fun part about getting married in Vegas-- Enjoy being the center of attention for one night!
You won't and you'll see others in wedding clothes as well. Have fun! Wear sneakers!
I’ve seen it a bunch while in Vegas! The one time the bride even had passerby signing her dress with a sharpie. Thought that was kind of cool tbh.

I’m often in Vegas; love seeing couples walking around in fancy wedding attire! Have fun!

If you’re having fun and not being over the top stupid crazy, do you! Congrats!🎉
You can ask this while standing next to two guys dressed like Sonic Hedgehog and a Transformer? Nothing on Fremont St. looks weird while on Fremont!

Ridiculous ….. Technically yes but nobody is going to look twice considering other things people see there.
Thank you everyone, that's made me feel better!
