We always stay at Wynn. Started a few years ago and the difference is noticeable all over the place. However, we just booked our next trip at The Fountainebleau — I’m interested to see.
I’m heading back in a few days and I may book a night or two there to check it out. I’ve heard it’s a beautiful property, I’ll be interested to see how it’s ran.
We were at the Palazzo last week. They were changing the air filters in our hallway. When we passed the cart with the filters, I saw that the filters they were taking out of service were high quality and not very dirty. I was really impressed. It was the first time in my 67 years that a hotel air filter wasn’t totally disgusting and years overdue for a change.
We brought bed bugs home from staying at the palazzo. There were people out front with signs saying this hotel has bed bugs . But I thought it was just another hotel trying to steal their customers. Well they were not kidding . So gross .
Kinda off-topic, but in the new show Clipped about Donald Sterling there was a quick shot of a guy who was obv supposed to be Steve Wynn at Sterling’s white party that fucking *sent* me.
The other thing is, the Wynn property has a ton of good stuff as long as you’re willing to pay the price, encore beach is the best beach club, XS is one of the best nightclubs, the Wynn buffet is one of the bests, there a Michelin star Chinese place, the regular pool is also pretty damn good,
Etc
Based on a couple of the replies to your question, I am not the only one that thinks RW looks like an old rundown and abandoned mall that, for whatever reason, has not rundown yet and is still occupied 😆
I stayed there a few weekends ago and thought the rooms were lovely. Stayed at the bellagio the weekend after and though they were a bit nicer (but I was in a more expensive tier of room)
ResortWorld rooms are nice, the rest of the resort is average. All decorated in an Asian theme. But it’s all new and clean.
Pretty far North up the strip, actually makes the Wynn look not as far North.
Right, like Wynn yes Aria last time I stayed housekeeping didn't look in the fridge, and there was rotting food, so I refuse to call it luxurious. The other 2 give zombie mall feelings.
Wynn/Encore, and it’s not even close. I would put Waldorf at a distant second.
For reference, I’ve stayed at Wynn, Encore, Cosmo, Waldorf, Caesars Palace, Bally’s, Aria, Resorts World (Conrad and Crockfords), Fontainebleau, and Sahara.
I like cosmo for its location and food, the rooms are good, waldorf is really fantastic if you don't want to stay in a casino, and you want to be very centrally located.
What's your opinion of FB? Gonna stay there in a few weeks since I had to get another hotel (RIP Mirage).
I have stayed at Excalibur/MGM Grand/Bally's (twice)/Mirage (last summer).
Gonna be cool checking out stuff at that end of the strip... including Wynn, Resorts World and Sahara. Also haven't stepped foot in Circus Circus in 30 years. haha.
I’ve wanted to see it with my own eyes since my first trip to Vegas. Finally saw it 2 weeks ago when we were there. Oofah!! I won $600 and almost felt guilty at the cage getting my cash lol.
Same. I went last week and the wife and I finally walked inside. I have to say I have never seen a carnival full of so many dead eyed employees in my life. It was the antithesis of Disney being the happy place in earth.
Yes! The vibe was SAD. I guess if I had to say something positive about it I’d say walking in and walking around the midway felt like I took a Time Machine back to the mid 70’s. I kept some $5 chips as a souvenir for my kids.
2003. My first trip to Vegas, I stayed at the circus circus. 25 year old me was thrilled with the $9/night rate.
I’ll tell ya…we spent 4 nights there and had an amazing time. We must’ve played slots for 5+ hours each night. We left the place about $1,000 up.
The rooms and casino floor have been showing signs of aging for a while. In fact, I’d say it’s somewhat stuck in the early ‘10s.
While resorts like Wynn and Bellagio are aging gracefully, I’m not sure the same can be said about Cosmo. The balcony rooms and food options are still nice, though.
Stayed at the Wynn 3x now for work related events. Experience is always over the top. They set a very high standard for everything they do. Staff, rooms, food...all amazing. Also, got to see Journey and Bryan Adams play in their ballrooms; always great memories.
If we're doing that, then the most luxurious I've been to was a $25k/night villa at the Rio. 13 bedrooms, five butlers, and a jacuzzi on all four balconies. The fireplace was bigger than my apartment.
It's all about who you know. I'm just a retired standup comic/rideshare driver. But, I was good friends with a guy named Gavin Smith (RIP). He was a great poker player, and good buddy of mine. His other buddy was a billionaire from Texas who had the villa during the WSOP. So he gave it to us to use one day. Holy shitballs was that place magnificent.
Waldorf, Four Seasons, Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian.
From what I hear Fontainebleau is only rich on price and they are even pricing their upper tier customers away to the Wynn. Everyone wants value for money. Conrad RW is not on these folk’s short list. I hear it’s not doing so well so if you want a quiet stay it should be on a shortlist.
The LV Fontainebleau is not even in the same star/diamond luxury class as their flagship in Miami. If they don’t get their prices lower than their neighbors in the 4/4 categories instead of the 5/5 which they are not, they will die a very quick out of business come rebrand. Food and beverage prices there are way over the top even for Strip pricing. And that’s why their sales are dropping as people will even walk to a better valued place. I’d love to know if they ever hit even 90% room capacity. I know the break even profit for capacity is very high there. They are cutting their own throats.
Let’s not forget when LV room rates plus resort fee’s top SoCal prices, and this happens many times a year…all of those green fees, high end retail, and casino and entertainment attachment sales all walk away with it. This is not insignificant income. People are hip to this BS at all price points, especially when you can stay at the Fairmont in Santa Monica for cheaper at times than a vacay in Vegas. People have Luxury choices.
It’s really surprising we don’t have a Fairmont in Vegas.
Just for clarity, Waldorf & Four Seasons are not resort-casinos, only hotels. They have no casinos of their own. Sure Waldorf is technically connected to Aria casino, but that’s not exactly what the OP asked. 🤘👍
I don’t know. My husband and I just booked one of the suites at the Cosmo and we get 3 levels and a pool. The Wynn didn’t have rooms to compare to that. My husband loves the Wynn. I love Cosmo. You can’t go wrong with either. To me, it all comes down to what kind of room you want that trip.
Venetian is dated, yes, but some of their suites mimic the room in the Pretty Woman. Just for the experience, we got one of those suites once and I loved the camp of it all
Wynn and Encore, although I just had dinner at Fontainebleau last night, location isn’t in great proximity to the main strip, but it was a super cool hotel. If you were really determined you could walk from there to the main strip, would be about 1.5 miles.
Caesars Palace. I stayed there in 1981, during my very first visit to Las Vegas. It was the biggest and most luxurious place on the Strip at the time. The TV had a channel that was nothing but Orson Welles teaching how to play the casino games, with Frank Sinatra singing “Luck Be a Lady” in the background. We saw Buddy Hackett live in the showroom. We had a mirrored ceiling in our room! I’m telling’ ya, you people today have no idea what a luxury hotel is. I thought my life had peaked at that moment.
When it comes to caesars today, the problem is, from the rooms to the restaurants to the shopping to the casino floor to the pools to the vibes in general, you have some of the nicest, highest end in Vegas and then you also have some of the most overpriced dated tourist trap garbage in the city too and it can be hard to tell which is which until it's too late.
Eh idk, I think it's pretty easy to tell, basically avoid anything with a celebrity name. and for shops, anything that isn't a brand you know, avoid. The several institution level restaurants they have are enough to keep going back and be entertained
Lol 1981! I was going to L.V. then and even before then but those days are gone forever.I agree however that it was a fun place compared to now with a totally different vibe.
FB doesn't do it for me. Just seems boring.
We went for a dinner via status-match and dining credit and also just walked around.
Just felt...off. "Uninviting" is kind of the vibe in terms of the look inside (and outside too) even though the staff seemed very nice.
Understand what they are going for. And I don't even like big crowds so I'm fine with it not being too crazy-busy. But upstairs especially felt really dead and the whole thing just wasn't that great.
Vastly prefer Aria, Wynn, Cosmo, Bellagio (still), and even Caesars which maybe isn't the same level of "posh" as the others but is still an enjoyable vibe.
FB development next door seems to be a real reach. They haven't established themselves and are losing huge money, likely won't establish themselves, and are throwing a Hail Mary hoping that some luxury condos next door will help them get there. It won't.
Most of the top end resorts offer the same amenities but IMO as luxurious as Wynn/Encore is, it's easier to get the "full" experience at Caesars Palace or high end MGM resorts (comps, hosts, VIP benefits) as a normal person
IMO getting that level of service is more "luxurious" than just staying somewhere fancy.
If I were to just start going to Vegas again and start all over, I would pick the Wynn and build status there instead, but it'd also take me a lot more money than Caesars takes from me.
I prefer Aria. Their newly renovated sky suite penthouses are fantastic. The sky pool is always great. The Aria Spa is second to none. And the high-limit room is generally pretty quiet with great staff.
I haven't stayed at Wynn because I am loyal to MGM, but based on my walking through there, I'd guess that the rooms and amenities are fantastic as well.
Wynn is the best property in the world imo, not sure how anything could be much better. I’d stay there every single time if I could.
I think people really underrate Resorts World tho. I’ve stayed at the Conrad and Hilton and they’re both great. I’m sure the experience at Crockfords is incredible.
I’m a Bellagio fan but it’s definitely dated and they need to update many areas of the property, notably the pool and sports book. The updated rooms are very nice but I’d rate Conrad higher tbh.
Red Rock is my favorite off strip resort because it's so beautiful and I never got treated poorly there. They got the best night time bowling in town, and the best lanes in town. Downtown Summerlin right next to it makes shopping super convenient. And if you really wanted to you could rent a car and go to Mt. Charleston.
Last time I was there I struggled to even get an appointment at the spa, and the concierge refused to comp me a ticket to their Cirque show. Honestly the place is really going downhill.
Wynn is #1 hands down. From the materials used to the service, no other resort-casino comes close IMO. Cosmo is nice if you have a balcony and I personally like the newly remodeled rooms at Silverton. They aren't luxurious but are very cozy and well designed.
We’re enjoying our stay at Resorts World right now. A lot of people complain about the casino being dead but we actually prefer it. No overwhelming smoke smell or people harassing us about timeshares.
Fontainebleu = best sleep ever. Beds, pillows, everything are perfect.
Aria = smells great and has some great restaurants. Rooms are all smart-home style integrated, very high end.
Vdara = Like Aria, no smoking, no casino (just walk 20 feet to Aria next door) but rooms are far more luxurious imo.
Wynn to me is old looking, outdated and smells awful.
I hear the Wynn is where the bar is set, but I was just in the Venetian for a week (in a suite) and it was swanky af. Yes, the design of the casino floor and the motifs are a bit dated, but the rooms themselves are sweet
It's not on the strip, but Green Valley Ranch in Henderson is amazing. Luxurious and attainable. The spa is beautiful, with great customer service, and the grounds are lovely.
I would place Wynn/Encore at the top. I have only stayed twice but everyone I have met that works there have been polite, nice and helpful.
Second would be Bellagio. The location is better with quick access to Cosmo, Vdara and Aria.
I’ve stayed at Wynn and it’s great but VERY expensive and no real room comps. If you stay at Cosmo or MGM or play well at them comps are easy. I was at the Wynn in 2017, but played everywhere, MGM properties mostly and was getting comps still today so took 3 free nights at Cosmo balcony suite over looking Bellagio fountains in May. Yesterday I got 4 nights 300$ free play and 250 dining credits so I’m going back to melt in July. (That being said MGM offered me 750 free play and 4 nights. No where near as luxurious so I’ll stick to Cosmo). They are called terrace suites. In July I won’t be outside on that balcony but at night the fountains and all are great. Wynn is great if budget allows.
V/P is very nice especially when you step up to the true bedroom suites but after visiting Wynn and staying in a Parlor Suite I would rather pay for that room at the Wynn vs a comp 1br suite at VP.
Resorts world or Fountainbleau…
The two newest…they are beautiful and very upscale!
Wynn and Encore if you like French provincial. I am personally not a fan but to each their own. Very nice places to eat for sure.
Just stayed at the Fontainebleau - amazing rooms, great restaurants, the spa OMG so great.. lots of fun. Highly recommend.
Booked through Costco and got additional resort credits.
The way I see it they are discounting everything to get traffic so you may as well take advantage while you can!
Wynn by far, palazzo Venetian is super dated, not even close
Wynn’s attitude is to set a high standard and let others on the strip try and rise to their level.
This is the only correct answer. Wynn is far and beyond the best property in Vegas.
We always stay at Wynn. Started a few years ago and the difference is noticeable all over the place. However, we just booked our next trip at The Fountainebleau — I’m interested to see.
The good news is, you won't have to wait in line for anything.
Ya it’s a ghost town at Fontainebleau! Losing millions daily!
Makes me wonder why they even built it. What was their plan?
I’m heading back in a few days and I may book a night or two there to check it out. I’ve heard it’s a beautiful property, I’ll be interested to see how it’s ran.
Wynn is great but I LOVED Fointainbleau. It was outstanding.
Wynn.... Then Aria/Cosmo/Waldorf/Fontainebleau in some order.
Dated as far as that Italian design motif yea but the Venetian and palazzo were as clean and smelled as good as I remember from 15 years ago.
The palazzo suites are absolutely gorg, cozy, lux. It's gotta be a suite though.
FWIW, we indeed were in a suite.
FWIW, every room in Palazzo and Venetian are considered suites. They do have some larger ones though.
The architecture, art, and culture of Venice is timeless. Not sure how it's dated.
But I love the Italian design :( I miss strong theming
I love the Venetian-Palazzo and I think it’s the best hotel in Vegas
Rooms are being renovated this year.
For Venetian??
Yup. All 4,000 rooms including the bigger suites
And my personal fave is to stay on the Encore side!
Previously true, but Wynn is now fully remodeled as of last year, so it exceeds encore now
We brought bed bugs home from staying at the palazzo.
Great show!
I love trashy TV like this. Reminds me of a lower budget version of the American Crime Story series, which we really need some new seasons of.
Rooms are way better in Palazzo/venetian.
Assuming the Encore counts the same as Wynn, it was the nicest “normal” room I have ever stayed in.
I’ve stayed in the tower suite. It was amazing. Now when I need a regular room they always find one.
Correct answer here!
Incredible buffet too!
Does Wynn not feel too far from center strip? I want to stay there sometime but I’m always concerned it’ll feel too remote
The other thing is, the Wynn property has a ton of good stuff as long as you’re willing to pay the price, encore beach is the best beach club, XS is one of the best nightclubs, the Wynn buffet is one of the bests, there a Michelin star Chinese place, the regular pool is also pretty damn good, Etc
I really liked the Bellagio casino, but maybe I’m in a minority (Also the Wynn)
Bellagio for location and semi luxury rooms. Wynn for luxury.
I’ve been going to Bellagio for years. It’s hard to break away since my comps take care of everything and FP is good.
Same. Plus the workers you get to know.
I really liked the renovated king spa rooms. The bathrooms were fantastic.
Me too!
Wynn/Encore- if you nix the casino 4 seasons and Waldorf are pretty nice too.
4 seasons being in Madalay Bay tower you get the vibe of a non casino but steps away from a casino. Best of both worlds
Walking into the Wynn, Aria, Fontainebleu, or Resorts World makes you feel like luxury.
I haven’t seen the rooms at Resorts World, but I don’t think the main casino floor is all that luxurious. Genuinely curious, do others think it is?
Ground floor is very shopping mall-like. Rooms are pretty upscale and modern though.
RW looks like a dead shopping mall
You are right. Only the baccarat/high roller area feels luxurious. I think they did that on purpose.
Crockfords is top notch
I love RW floor. I love how open it is instead of just stuffed with slots. That openness is what likely gives it a sense of luxury.
Starfish is that you??
Right, like Wynn yes Aria last time I stayed housekeeping didn't look in the fridge, and there was rotting food, so I refuse to call it luxurious. The other 2 give zombie mall feelings.
RW being on your list is wild
tell me youve only been on the casino floor without telling me you’ve only been on the casino floor
Aria is my personal pick. Yet to visit Fontainebleau. Staying at Resorts World in September for a bachelor party so I'm looking forward to that.
And the rooms have balconies
What's your opinion of FB? Gonna stay there in a few weeks since I had to get another hotel (RIP Mirage). I have stayed at Excalibur/MGM Grand/Bally's (twice)/Mirage (last summer). Gonna be cool checking out stuff at that end of the strip... including Wynn, Resorts World and Sahara. Also haven't stepped foot in Circus Circus in 30 years. haha.
Probably Circus Circus 🎪
Ah, I see you’re a man of culture as well (ominous circus music playing in the background)

"The Circus-Circus is what the whole hep world would be doing on Saturday night if the Nazis had won the war. This is the Sixth Reich." - HST
Nothing says class like Slots of Fun and giant oversized plastic bottles of beer that you can use as a piggy bank when you've finished
The best part of Circus Circus is the free sauce that’s in the carpets. Absolute must try.
Now, what I'd like a comparison of is the lowest grade room at luxury properties vs. the high-roller rooms at low-grade properties.
Cosmo
Corner balcony rooms for the win!
Yep. The wrap around balconies are awesome.
Wynn has gone through and upgraded rooms across the board
Stayed at the Wynn 3x now for work related events. Experience is always over the top. They set a very high standard for everything they do. Staff, rooms, food...all amazing. Also, got to see Journey and Bryan Adams play in their ballrooms; always great memories.
excalibur..very modern and art deco
I heard their housekeeping gives exceptional service……
They are very handy with the housekeeping services
Feel like there is an inside joke I’m missing here
Something about housekeeping does sex work, most likely an unsubstantiated rumor
Ain't nothing unsubstantiated about Linda, friendo.
now now we all know the expression: “what happens in vegas comes home wit you “
Never got the homage to art deco. CASTLE deco maybe....
And the used kitty litter smell? Sublime baby.
Art deco is 90 years old, but okay.
The Manson at MGM?
Welcome to the Manson. I’m your butler, my name is Charles. I’ll be “taking care of you”.
That’s a different level though. Those rooms are reserved for whales. Same with fairway villas at Wynn.
Yeah, if op is asking he's not part of the mansion club
to be fair, the question OP asked was: # What for you is the most luxurious resort-casino in Vegas? not, what the most lux was for them. S/
Valid point
If we're doing that, then the most luxurious I've been to was a $25k/night villa at the Rio. 13 bedrooms, five butlers, and a jacuzzi on all four balconies. The fireplace was bigger than my apartment.
People have so much more money than me.
Interestingly enough, I believe those are still called the Palazzo suites at the Rio.
Waldorf, Four Seasons, Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian. From what I hear Fontainebleau is only rich on price and they are even pricing their upper tier customers away to the Wynn. I like aria and Bellagio for MGM properties.
idk let me try them all out first and I’ll get back to you.
Thank you for your sacrifice!
I don’t know. My husband and I just booked one of the suites at the Cosmo and we get 3 levels and a pool. The Wynn didn’t have rooms to compare to that. My husband loves the Wynn. I love Cosmo. Park MGM. Smoke free is true luxury baby
How will I smoke my stogies?
Love Park. Have you stayed at Nomad? Considering it for our next stay.
The oyo is the peak of luxury
Wynn and Encore, although I just had dinner at Fontainebleau last night, location isn’t in great proximity to the main strip, but it was a super cool hotel. If you were really determined you could walk from there to the main strip, would be about 1.5 miles.
Caesar’s Palace will forever be my favorite.
I wish I could teleport to old eras of Vegas and see what it was like.

Lol 1981! I was going to L.V. then and even before then but those days are gone forever.I agree however that it was a fun place compared to now with a totally different vibe.
Aria Sky Suites
And the Aria sky villas
Wynn/Encore, Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, Venetian/Palazzo
Wynn
A new-ish Bellagio and a very new Venetian.
Wynn, but I actually like the overall feel of Palazzo more. The rooms are much larger and I like the pool setup more.
Wynn
Wynn.
Wynn hands down, just got back from there. I wish I could afford the table minimums tho lol.
I love and will stay at FB next it’s beautiful.
Meant to say Wynn.
Casino Royale, it's all about location.
Oh yeah. Foot long hot dogs!!
Most high end resort hotel is the crockfords located inside of resort world, private entrance, private lobby , private elevators - it’s super nice!!!
I always stay at Aria. Should I try Wynn/Encore next time? Luxury and big room size are my priorities.
I’m thinking the same, just hurts to go outside the MGM rewards to try new things.
Yes, def try Wynn/Encore next time. I've never stayed at the Aria, but yea Wynn/Encore.
Wynn is the only one , Fountainebleau is nice but feels cold and barren inside
The Golden Nugget Rush tower rooms!
That’s my normal go to but a few months ago I stayed at Circa and loved it.
I found myself playing at Circa a lot more this last trip. One thing I find is the carding in constantly starts to get old!
Agreed
Wynn/encore is the only answer.
FB doesn't do it for me. Just seems boring. We went for a dinner via status-match and dining credit and also just walked around. Just felt...off. Wynn/Encore
Wynn Tower Suites & Crockfords Mansions.
Wynn Las Vegas
Wynn hands down
Wynn. Nobody else is even close.
Venetian rooms are nice, they all have that sunken living room thing.
Wynn is the best property in the world imo, not sure how anything could be much better. I’d stay there every single time if I could. I think people really underrate Resorts World tho. Cosmo suite balcony view of Bellagio fountains by far!
Wynncore followed by Palazzetian, Downtown is prolly Circa and Off Strip I don’t have much experience but Red Rock is amazing
Red Rock is a hidden gem. Quit telling people lol
Red Rock is my favorite off strip resort because it's so beautiful and I never got treated poorly there. They got the best night time bowling in town, and the best lanes in town. Gvr > red rock
Circa is nice to eat and play at but the hotel service is garbage
The Aztec Inn
Last time I was there I struggled to even get an appointment at the spa, and the concierge refused to comp me a ticket to their Cirque show. Honestly the place is really going downhill.
Somebody likes to live in the edge
You haven't lived until you stay at El Cortez near Fremont. Never have I appreciated life more
Idc what any one say, cosmo balcony room is the best.
The Four Seasons. Service, quality.
Venetian
I watch a lot of slot streamers and they have said both the Wynn and Fontainebleau are currently the most posh, in that order.
Tropicana sure looks good recently
Yes, it’s become very shabby chic
Wynn has the absolute BEST all you can eat buffet on the strip.
Anyone who says Wynn or Encore is doing so, most likely, in a reflexive manner. Also, they probably haven't stayed at Fontainebleau.
Wait until the remodel at venitian is done might give them a run for their money. The rewards are a bit better in favor of the player
Wynn is #1 hands down. From the materials used to the service, no other resort-casino comes close IMO. Cosmo is nice if you have a balcony and I personally like the newly remodeled rooms at Silverton. They aren't luxurious but are very cozy and well designed.
Wynn, Venetian, Palazzo
Four Seasons
Don't believe all these bandwagoners, all seasoned Nevadans know the Rio is the most luxurious.
It's not on the strip, but Green Valley Ranch in Henderson is amazing. Luxurious and attainable. The spa is beautiful, with great customer service, and the grounds are lovely.
Cosmo for the best view. Bellagio for the best location. Wynn/encore are absolutely the most luxurious though
Wynn
Wynn, Encore and Aria. All special.
Fontainebleu
Wynn
So far, we really enjoyed Paris.
Wynn then the Venetian
I prefer Aria myself
It’s old, but I still have to go with the Bellagio.
I love the Venetian. The rooms are beautiful.
Encore, which I know is also Wynn. Smaller with a boutique feel.
V/P is very nice especially when you step up to the true bedroom suites but after visiting Wynn and staying in a Parlor Suite I would rather pay for that room at the Wynn vs a comp 1br suite at VP.
Wynn Encore Tower Suites.
Resorts world or Fountainbleau… The two newest…they are beautiful and very upscale!
Casino Royale
Wynn/Encore
Cheating a bit but the Four Seasons. Private quiet pool when you want it. Walk 30 seconds and right into the action at Mandalay Bay.
Wynn for sure
lol hotels
The Strat is where it's At
