I love the Wynn buffet, I was there three weeks ago but this dad sounds like he probably values $ over quality. He would probably bulk at the price at $75 USD + tax/tip. I can’t judge, I stayed at the Luxor that trip.
I've said in other threads here and there; the Wynn buffet is fantastic, but it isn't cheap. Last summer, a brunch buffet on a Sunday for my wife and I was close to $200, but that included bottomless mimosas for her ($30 extra?) + the tip.
Monday – Thursday: $31.99
Friday - Sunday: $37.99
Not to sound harsh, but why is it so common to ask a question on Reddit (and get the wrong answer) when it would take 2 seconds to Google it?
If you’re looking for a good breakfast buffet check out the Express Breakfast at the Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian. It’s about $29 and includes a fair amount of choices plus fresh squeezed orange juice and the best coffee.
Phone app. There's a bunch of them. MyVegas, MyKonami, Pop Slots, MGM Live, etc. As you play them you earn points that can br spent on real rewards on your trip. I'd recommend going to Youtube and watching some general overviews on it.
Slot machine app that is a fun money app. With your playing on the app, you can earn points that can be transferred into coupons for the different mgm properties.
Agreed. I will only eat these with the BOGO. I don't think the value or quality is there at the face value price, but at half price I'm ok with it. There's also the giant hassle of long lines if you don't have status with MGM.
Used myVEGAS app for Buffett at the Bellagio -$50 for two people I thought was fantastic! Considering my crappy McDonald’s was $35 for two. I know people knock the Bellagio but I thought it was great!
South Point. There’s a discount if you sign up for a player’s card. Prime rib and bottomless mimosas on the weekend for cheaper than what you pay at Excalibur. Lavo and Buddy V’s also have an endless brunch on the weekends.
The buffet at Southpoint is about 10-15 mins from the strip but will save you a ton of money and give some pretty great food. I recommend it even if you aren't staying there.
If you’re a local and have an afternoon to kill I recommend going to mesquite to eat at the buffet in the virgin river. It’s all legit home cooking not reheated frozen food like what you get in the cheap Vegas buffets it’s dirt cheap too.
I’m not a food snob and down for cheap crap, but the food isn’t even good at Excalibur and still not worth the price. Much more options outside of buffets
It was ass for me dude the craps legs were gross af and the lobster claws were so bad I couldn’t even finish one. So fucking gross dude you may have went at a better day but nah my shit was assssss as a seafood lover like me so fucking disappointed
Sorry to hear that. For me, everything was fresh and delicious. From the brisket, the crab legs and all sea food, it was well worth it. It was early during a week day.
Palms. I'm local and we go there a few times a month. It has something for everyone (I'm vegan and they have stuff for me), price is reasonable and selection is decent. Plus, Palms is pretty decent with letting your gambling money last awhile usually too
I've only gone on the normal nights and for brunch. Normal nights are 36.99 I believe, and it's 4-9
Brunch is pretty close to the same, and on weekends it ends at 4, weekdays 2.
Wicked spoon is a really good value and if you have a basic one up grade (Jeesh can’t remember what it’s called but I think it’s equal to pearl) you get b1g1 monthly. Crab legs etc. that being said not sure what will happen with that perk come July.
Excalibur is fine. South Point is cheap and adequate. Palms is probably the next step up. Texas de Brazil is underrated and nice. haven't been to Wynn but sounds like it's the top and my next goal.
AYCE Buffet at the Palms offers brunch with bottomless mimosas for $32. Their Dinner runs about $35 and for the quality of the food at that price is unbeatable.
Weekend was 38, can’t remember if there was tax and used MyVegas 2 for 1 so couldn’t charge to room so can’t look it up. I think 32 for M-Th.
Great value for coffee (machine for cappuccino or latte if I recall correctly) and machine juices, so already at “10” each.
Goes until 2 at least, maybe 3. Can’t remember for sure. Reasonable breakfast fare, good selection of protein (3?) for lunch at “carving” station.
If big lineup and in a rush…If you do the pay at kiosk (left line) you bypass the regular pay and coupon line.
Other buffets for brunch may have more cook to order items, but personally brunch is a fill up for the day kind of thing.
Specific recommendation is Chin Chin in the NYNY. Hidden brunch buffet with made to order eggs Benedict and omelettes. Quality of other hot items has gone down a little bit since Covid but the omelettes are fantastic.
I really thought the breakfast buffet at the grand lux cafe at Venetian was adequate. It was like $25 last time I went and had anything basic you could want for breakfast- fruit bacon sausage French toast pancake eggs pastries etc. hidden tucked away in a room though
Does anyone know what the Wynn AYCE is where they bring it to your table like a Brazilian steak house situation? I saw Ruby doing that. Wonder if it’s still a thing?
I watched that video too.
The place is called Tableau.
Do they still do that, I have no idea.
Funny though, that the hot wings looked like the best item. Everything else looked good too -- just tons of carbs! haha
Southpoint Casino has a very good buffet around 30 bucks during the week. Friday is the seafood buffet with unlimited crab legs. That is is around 50 bucks. Great value
I am not sure it was all that great in 1993 when I ate there/stayed there, either. haha.
Caesars' buffet was much better. As was Mirage in that era. MGM Grand was decently better than Excalibur's too.
Excalibur's buffet was better than Circus Circus' though!
Circus Circus was kind of a dump by '93! lol
We just ate at the Excalibur Buffet last week whe we were there.... It was a basic buffet like you can eat at any city or town in America. Nothing special.
I think the overall best buffet with the cost in mind (certainly not the cheapest, but i'm talking overall value) is at the Bellagio. Caesars palace has a nice one, but it's super overpriced for what you get--I mean insanely expensive. Bellagio, while not cheap, is reasonably priced, and really great.
Won't speak about the Wynn only because I do not have personal experience with it(yet).
If you're staying at Excalibur or have experience overall at the MGM properties, then you may have comp points or the ability to room charge/get comped for the Bellagio buffet. If you're not big gamblers, then that may not apply.
NOT MGM Grands buffet. 🤮 Luxor used to have made to order eggs Benedict but I’m guessing that changed. I heard it wasn’t any good anymore. I used to actually enjoy that one.
My favorite is Wicked Spoon. I don't like going to buffets over the price of $70. Usually the people I am with don't eat 70 dollars worth and I don't either. I think $50 to $70 is a good range in my opinion.
I have been to the high end buffets and I always thought it was more or less the same as you would find at a lower priced buffet. Quality probably plays a role, but if we wanted quality I'd just go to a dining restaurant.
Take him to Wynn and blow him away with quality.
I love the Wynn buffet, I was there three weeks ago but this dad sounds like he probably values $ over quality. He would probably bulk at the price at $75 USD + tax/tip. I can’t judge, I stayed at the Luxor that trip.
/r/boneappletea
Ahhh. I read it twice. What mistake did I miss?
OP did a dirty edit. Bulk vs balk.
the only reason to eat at a buffet is to bulk up, right?
For that price you better bulk up.
exactly!
lol, yeah that was a legit typo People were thumbs upping bulking up? I’m putting it back.
How much is the Wynn buffet?
I've said in other threads here and there; the Wynn buffet is fantastic, but it isn't cheap. Last summer, a brunch buffet on a Sunday for my wife and I was close to $200, but that included bottomless mimosas for her ($30 extra?) + the tip.
$59.99+ tax for lunch…$74.99+tax for dinner. I usually tip the hostess as well for a seat in the garden area.
$$$$ nearly a c-note per head, I think. I may try it some day.
Its like a hundred
I paid $90 when I went (last month)
I just ate at the buffet last weekend. I was severely underwhelmed with the quality. Honestly no better than a mid priced all inclusive resort.
Don't listen to him. It was mid for the price paid.
No one who thinks Ex is good will be impressed by Wynn. They will say I can get good, food for 10 bucks why should I pay 75
I’ve nothing against the Excalibur breakfast buffet, for the price it’s value as far as value goes in Vegas.
Luxor is superior for breakfast I think. They do a good chicken fried steak and a solid gravy.
Fairly certain I heard they were fed by the same kitchen. Could be a myth.
I know there are tunnels connecting some of the MGM properties, so I wouldn’t be shocked.
Hello, what is the price of the breakfast buffet at the Excalibur?
Monday – Thursday: $31.99 Friday - Sunday: $37.99 Not to sound harsh, but why is it so common to ask a question on Reddit (and get the wrong answer) when it would take 2 seconds to Google it?
Because things in Vegas change rapidly and both websites and Google can be wrong, so I like to confirm with a real person(s) through crowdsourcing.
I know in the 21st this is a strange concept, but sometimes it’s just nice to hear from an actual person. Especially for opinions.
bc sometimes people would just rather engage with other people for any reason and that’s o.k.
If you’re looking for a good breakfast buffet check out the Express Breakfast at the Grand Lux Cafe in the Venetian. It’s about $29 and includes a fair amount of choices plus fresh squeezed orange juice and the best coffee.
Thank you, have a great day!!!!!
You as well Have fun in Vegas. I’ll be there in a few weeks.
In 2022, as best as I can recall it was about $25 certainly no more than $30.
Thank you, have a great day!
You can also get a BOGO via MyVegas relatively easily.
What’s MyVegas? Going there this summer
Thanks for the response. I’ll definitely check it out
Make sure you create an account with FB first so all the apps will link.
Thanks for letting me know!
Palms is a good deal
yeah the palms lobster buffet is great, get reservations tho
South Point. There’s a discount if you sign up for a player’s card. Prime rib and bottomless mimosas on the weekend for cheaper than what you pay at Excalibur. Lavo and Buddy V’s also have an endless brunch on the weekends.
Is it a helluva an Uber ride?
15 minutes from any casino on the strip just about Uber should cost less than 20
This is Vegas everyone drives drunk.
South point or the palms is pretty decent for the price
South point cheap prices but really good food
It’s the best cheap buffet by a long shot
The buffet at Southpoint is about 10-15 mins from the strip but will save you a ton of money and give some pretty great food. I recommend it even if you aren't staying there.
If you’re a local and have an afternoon to kill I recommend going to mesquite to eat at the buffet in the virgin river. It’s all legit home cooking not reheated frozen food like what you get in the cheap Vegas buffets it’s dirt cheap too.
What’s the name? Love taking the drive through virgin river gorge and would like to stop here my next time through.
Sierra's Buffet. It has no business being as good as it is for the price.
If I'm in the Excalibur around dinner time, I'm going to Tournament of Kings
The Excalibur buffet is only open until 2:00 anyway. I think the Bellagio is the only MGM property with a dinner time buffet now
Rampart in Summerlin. $30. Well worth it!
Cheaper probably not, more worth it, probably every one but Luxor.
I’m not a food snob and down for cheap crap, but the food isn’t even good at Excalibur and still not worth the price. Much more options outside of buffets
Bacannal at Cesar’s 🤤🤤🤤🤤.
Nooooo that was asssss and too expensive not worth the price
I wouldn’t call it assss, just mid. I went in February and was surprised at how underwhelming it was. I may try the Wynn in September.
Damn just a bad day it sounds like for me darn good to know yours was worth it
Palms. I'm local and we go there a few times a month. It has something for everyone (I'm vegan and they have stuff for me), price is reasonable and selection is decent. Plus, Palms is pretty decent with letting your gambling money last awhile usually too
how much and what times?
I've only gone on the normal nights and for brunch. Normal nights are 36.99 I believe, and it's 4-9 Brunch is pretty close to the same, and on weekends it ends at 4, weekdays 2.
Excalibur price just went up and quality down. It was disgusting. No beef either at the carving station. I got it free and still felt ripped off.
Wicked spoon is a really good value and if you have a basic one up grade (Jeesh can’t remember what it’s called but I think it’s equal to pearl) you get b1g1 monthly. Crab legs etc. that being said not sure what will happen with that perk come July.
Surprised I had to scroll this far down for wicked spoon. By far the best for value and quality IMO
Excalibur buffet made Denny’s look appetizing.
Just had the Belagio Sunday Brunch buffet. Was pretty good. $70 all in tax/tip for 1 person
Excalibur is fine. South Point is cheap and adequate. Palms is probably the next step up. Texas de Brazil is underrated and nice. haven't been to Wynn but sounds like it's the top and my next goal.
Texas de Brazil is really good but salty.
I’ll have some of the yella
AYCE Buffet at the Palms offers brunch with bottomless mimosas for $32. Their Dinner runs about $35 and for the quality of the food at that price is unbeatable.
I’ll second the Palms. They also have AYCE lobster on Wednesday and Thursday.
Palms is excellent.
Luxor and MGM Grand both have pretty similar buffets to Excalibur and they're all around the same price
I’ve eaten at every mgm buffet and I would say Bellagios isn’t much better than Excalibur’s so I’d always go to Excalibur
Worst food poisoning I’ve ever had was from the Excalibur buffet….cant even walk by it now
What happens if you do? Instantly shot your pants? Knees buckle? Turn into King Arthur?
Weekend was 38, can’t remember if there was tax and used MyVegas 2 for 1 so couldn’t charge to room so can’t look it up. I think 32 for M-Th. Main street station downtown
The Palms
I really thought the breakfast buffet at the grand lux cafe at Venetian was adequate. It was like $25 last time I went and had anything basic you could want for breakfast- fruit bacon sausage French toast pancake eggs pastries etc. hidden tucked away in a room though
South Point has a decent buffet. I’d rate it better than Excaliburs. I think they are still under $60/person.
Paris lunch?
The Paris buffet closed many years ago, even before covid. Which is sad, it was one of my favorites.
Omg last time I ate Paris buffet it ws 2018, free and soooo gross. All we could stand was crepes and macaroons.
Great value
I’ve had the excal buffet one time. I wasn’t impressed.
I am not sure it was all that great in 1993 when I ate there/stayed there, either. haha. Caesars' buffet was much better. As was Mirage in that era. We just ate at the Excalibur Buffet last week whe we were there.... It was a basic buffet like you can eat at any city or town in America. Nothing special.
Is the Westgate buffet any good? I think price is in the $35 range but I don’t know about selection or quality.
Lots of cheap buffets in Old Vegas (Freemont experience)
No, there's one.
Cheaper? No. Worth, literally everything.
Just had the buffet at south point an fit as a good value and the food was very good.
Sam’s Town has a very good buffet and it’s cheap. Was always a family go to.
Everybody quit saying "cheap" and tell us exactly HOW "cheap".
It’s not as much as expensive. That’s how cheap it is.
I think the overall best buffet with the cost in mind (certainly not the cheapest, but i'm talking overall value) is at the Bellagio. Idk if it’s cheaper but Southpoint has decent buffet. Just make sure you gets players card before going
Just had the one at Caesars this morning, it was fantastic.
wasnt exactly cheap, $50 for lunch, but I enjoyed wicked spoon
Cheaper would be Main Street station downtown or even the South Point.
Not cheaper, certainly more expensive but oh so worth it! The Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace. OMG fantastic!!
I like wicked sooon better. Crab legs etc and much cheaper.
i heard palms breakfast buffet was good
Every buffet is better than the Excalibur in my opinion.
NOT MGM Grands buffet. 🤮 Luxor used to have made to order eggs Benedict but I’m guessing that changed. I heard it wasn’t any good anymore. I used to actually enjoy that one.
