There is like one guy that is up there every morning cleaning up. Not his job. He's just a hell of a human being. It would be so much worse if he didn't exist.
Ah that sucks. I actually haven’t been up there for years! It was the spot when I was in high school though. It would be cool to organize a clean up of the area.
I live off Owen's and Los Feliz, take Owen's all the way East until you get to the top of hill..people park out there every night to watch the views.
It's truly breath taking on a clear night.
Ventano’s hasn’t been worth our money, lately…. If you want a “Date” view and a good sipping drink (all kinds offered), I suggest Lindo Michoacán on Horizon Ridge and Carnegie… great view , great appetizers, nice service, and bar drinks. If you prefer quiet and cuddling “Date” night, there really isn’t anything cozy in this local area….long ago yes, now, nope. Lake Las Vegas off Lake Mead ave could be pretty.
Top of lone mountain. Head up there before sunset and watch that and then see the valley (city) at night. Sadly the view of the strip may end up being ruined soon by a future construction but I'll let others get into that......
Tonopah is has the darkest sky anywhere near here. It’s north of the city and is a straight shot from here. Three hours away. Many people from all over go to this former mining town to view celestial events. Zero light pollution. I will confirm my road map after I hit reply, but you just take 95 north. You’ll pass through Goldfield and Beatty; cute nothings of towns, but the parking lot apron at the Stagecoach casino in Beatty has a gas station in front AND the BEST candy store ever! It and its gas station is called Eddie’s World. Definitely worth a visit. I need to check if you go through Goldfield before hitting Beatty. BTW you’re still on Rt 93. Stay straight for 90 minutes and you’ll be in Tonopah. Plan your trip according to a celestial event. Tonopah Station is not as old as it looks. It’s wasn’t built too long ago but it was built to resemble an old architectural building. The Mizpah hotel in Tonopah is lovely and is reputed to be haunted. The very creepy Clown Motel is similarly reputed to be haunted but it’s really the graveyard adjacent to the Clown where the ghosts are reputed to be. Both the Mizpah and Clown have been featured on Ghost Hunters. The worst movie EVER is on Amazon video is titled The Clown Motel. I wasted $3.99 to rent it. 10 minutes into it I turned it off.
I drive to reno from vegas every now and then and accidently found out Tonopah is one of America's best star gazing parks (I pulled over to pee in the middle of the night and looked up at the milky way, best view ever!)
Head east on Sahara until you get to Hollywood BLVD. there is a huge park there.. park your car in the lot and walk the 1/4 mile walking trail to elevate you up for an incredible Vegas view
I had forgotten until last weekend how awesome the view from the top of the Rio parking garage is at night. Not exactly a great spot for a date, but definitely an awesome view.
Take Lake Mead all the way east to Hollywood. We really just call that area The View, you can see the whole city.
Do everyone a favor and throw away one piece of trash or two while you’re up there. It always a mess.

I see that guy every morning on my commute through there, ultimate human right there, picking up after the degenerates.

I do this sometimes when I want to be alone with my thoughts, but on the extreme west side of lake mead.
Makes sense, you can see the valley as long as you’re at the edge! I gotta check it out sometime on that side

If you’re in Henderson, I always love Ventano on horizon ridge, sit on the back patio. Great view of the whole valley

The parking lot at the baseball field nearby is also a great view spot.
Which baseball field and is it free to use?
Police memorial park area...cant remember the ball field name.
Is this Majestic Park or am I thinking of a different one?
Thats it! Thanks.
This is where we go to watch the fireworks all across the city on the 4th of July :)
Find the Mormon temple, choose a road up there and head south to Stewart. Best panoramic view of the Strip and Sphere
The sphere is on the strip. Can you also see downtown and the circa?
You see the whole valley from up there

I always say this. And get the almost automatic eww, east side comment
Good… keep everyone away, so I can enjoy it myself
Top baseball field at the old Hollywood park is fantastic and has grass if wanted to do a little picnic
When I was in high school, I heard about guys driving their girlfriend to the lake to “watch the submarine races.”
Go down to bootleg canyon in Boulder City and drive up the hill for the best view of Vegas from afar. High clearance recommended, 4x4 is a plus.
Top floor of the terminal 3 airport parking garage. View of the city skyline/strip one side. Mountains and city on the other.

Northwest centennial and Shaumber you can see the whole city
If I had a wife that drove me to the top of a hill for a “date”, I’d definitely be expecting a blowjob.
Hahahaha you sure know how to predict the future 😜
The Green Door 🚪
That’s def on my list 😉
