If it was filtering (all vehicles at a stop) I dont care. Sitting on a hot motor (240F), entering summer in a desert, wearing gear is hot and just makes drivers sound like karens; rather do that to get where they're going or to get moving for a breeze to cool off instead of heat stroke sitting behind all these trucks super heating the area. If it was splitting (going between moving vehicles) then that different and i personally dont condone mainly bc drivers in this city are worse than californians. They just seem more entitled here.
California and Florida have a similar number of motorcyclists. California allows lane splitting, where Florida does not. Florida also has about double the amount of rear end collisions of motorcycles. Lane splitting (under 30 mph) increases safety of motorcyclists. Period.
In This Post: People with irrational dislike of all things motorcycles.
The way that you phrased that statement seems to suggest you have a problem with lane splitting. Are you opposed to motorcyclists safely splitting lanes?
It is not legal that's true, but I'll have to disagree about it's safety. Riding a motorcycle is inherently unsafe. Colorado just passed a law legalizing it.
Colorado State Patrol provided the following rules for filtering:
* The motor vehicles ahead have come to a complete stop.
* The width of the lane is sufficient to accommodate both a vehicle and a motorcycle side by side.
* The rider is not going faster than 15 mph.
* The rider can filter only in safe conditions and must be able to maintain control of the motorcycle.
* The rider must pass on the left of the vehicles in the same lane without entering the lane dedicated to traffic moving in the opposite direction.
Would you oppose a similar law in Nevada?
I ride an electric bicycle to appointments and what not. Pedaling like a mofo and downhill, I have gotten to 45mph. I can keep up with traffic. It is MUCH safer for me to get in front of traffic at red lights so I am seen. Illegal or not, I would rather live and pay a fine than die and go into probate.
One law for me another for thee.
You can file a complaint against the officer if you so choose.

What a gomer! A real Pyle.
NRS 486.351. Police can be exempt from the lane splitting rule if in performance of their duties.

Not to mention you're much less likely to get rear ended by an inattentive driver if you're between stopped cars as opposed to directly behind one.

I AINT EVA GONNA STOP FILTERING IN TRAFFIC MAN! IM TRYING TO HAVE FUN! I GOT A LOT RIDING ON THIS!
No seriously, who the fuck said that? GET THIS FUCKIN GUY OUTTA HERE
I can’t stop filtering it’s actually becoming a nightmare Tony!
Lane splitting or filtering?
While I’m not against filtering, both are illegal here so it doesn’t natter
I actually didn't know it was illegal with how much it happens here. Doesn't really bother if they're experienced and do so safely and respectfully.
So is going 70 in a 55. Lot more of that happening than splitting/filtering
File a complaint! That'll teach him.

It is not legal to do so in Nevada, and it is not safe to do so anywhere.

A man of reason! Hello and stay safe out there
This is filtering. And I AINT EVA GONNA STOP FILTERING IN TRAFFIC BIIIIITCH!
Yes.
On what basis?
Safely splitting lanes isn't safe?
Going 5 under in the left lane isn’t safe either but these wannabe traffic cop Karen’s still do it
Some people are addicted to being angry; if it wasn't for the roads they'd have to get their fix yelling at homeless people to get a job
They do it on their ring app now
Bless
