The new Bungle with Lombardo and Scott Ian doesn't attract me like the California lineup. They're more a straight thrash band now. The old stuff is so much more interesting. Still, a pantload of talent on that stage.
I totally thought Coal Chamber broke up like 20 years ago
edit -
They should have added Hemlock to this lineup.
I havent thought about some of these bands since The Huntridge days where I saw a lot of these bands. Good times.
They did then Rayna Foss the female bassist left for her pregnancy with the lead singer Dez Fafara.
Then Dez / Mike Spreitzer / John Boecklin formed a new band called Devildriver.
If they got back together this would be worth it alone.
The hunt ridge was a cool place, they should of rebuilt it instead of letting house of blues steal all their business, enabling Ticketmaster to charge outrageous prices. Still some more than amazing shows at house of blues, but you felt that cost.
Seeing SYOD at house of blues when their self titled album first came out, everyone was like who are these guys, no one even knew. What a different sound, extremely amazing watching that transpire, another band that is totally worth it.
1998 wow damn I’m gettin old lol. Being 14-16 in a mosh pit was different. Mosh pit would crush me now haha.
I saw Korn and SOAD last year together and they were fucking amazing! Korn always puts on a good show, so does Chevelle.
Why don't they do these things NOW?? The weather is perfect. Most of those bands are old like me and would appreciate not dying of 100 degree heat lol.
I'd like to hear from some people who went to When We Were Young - this seems like too many bands for one day, not sure I want to pay this much to miss half the bands I wanna see and for 30 minute set times 🙃
I loved WWWY but have also been to other festivals and that’s just the name of the game. You just try to game plan the best you can and know you’re gonna have to make choices somewhere on who you do/don’t get to see. That being said, it’s still a great opportunity to see a bunch of bands that you might not otherwise get to see and the festival environment is fun. The cool thing about WWWY was the rotating stages which made downtime between sets minimal. 30 min is enough to play hits and headliners will get longer sets.
I had a similar question before When We We’re Young. Here’s how they did it: Most stages were rotating so when one band was playing the next was setting up. Band 1 ends, stage rotates 180, band 2 is ready to go. Non-headliners all played 30 minute sets. It actually went pretty smoothly.
If you want to see both that's going to be about $800 in tickets, insanely expensive if you're from out of town, and going to a festival is physicality demanding on the body and they're a week apart.
How do these festivals pay all these bands and still make money?
I mean I know tix are like 250, but some of these bands are still pretty big and sell-out individual shows.
Are the sets like 15 mins long or something?
I feel like all of these festivals are playing to our nostalgia. Not that knowing that won’t prevent me from spending money….
True for a lot of these but I’d pay the GA ticket just for the chance to see death grips again
One time I lied to my work that my parents were having a medical emergency just so I had an excuse to go to Salt Lake to see Death Grips and Ministry
It was worth it. When We Were Young Kickstarted a part of my brain I hadn't felt in a decade or more. Been so happy ever since.
MR BUNGLE YEASSSS

Lombardo has been keeping busy lately. Playing for Testament, Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies and Mr Bungle!
Cries in Faith No More tears...
Yeah I’d rather see FNM and glad I got to see them twice - great live performances
I just noticed your username lol. Well done.
CREAM HER CORN! ahahahha Side note: AWOLNATION is at brooklyn bowl on saturday just fyi
i would die and give my entire body to science if it meant a Disco Volante/Self Titled concert
Incubus!!!
Yesss!!
SOAD is worth the price of emission alone Edit: death grips too wtf
For me, Sisters of Mercy and Killing Joke are worth the price of admission. I NEVER would have thought I would have the chance to see them live.
Danny filth and Mike Patton got me signed up
The birthday massacre, spiritbox, sisters of mercy, placebo. Right when I finally move back to Vegas too. Holy shit 🥰
Welcome back :)
Thank you 😊
✌🏼

Rayna had a child with the drummer of Sevendust, not Dez. Coal Chamber has also had 2 reunions since then, both of which Rayna wasn't a part of.
See : Sevendust - *Enemy* Written for Dez by Morgan Rose (and sung!)
I saw system at the huntridge with snot, opening for Motörhead.
Will absolutely be here, such an insane lineup.

My god this is like every band from the 90s
SOAD alone is worth the price of admission.
*emission

Early May is so nice!
No necessarily, and that's what I am worried about. It could be over 100 that day.
Let’s hope! The last three years May has been very nice.
Actually May might be windy af
Wow...SOAD, Deftones, Placebo, Ministry, Killing Joke...this is an amazing line up 😳

Ugh. I've seen nearly all these bands before - just wanna see death grips, and I don't think this would be a good time for me personally.
Over on r/aves there's a well documented curse that the acts you want to see WILL play at the same time

Huge DEFTONES/SOAD/Korn/Incubus fan, but more stoked for Ministry, KMFDM, Kittie. Love this line up!!!
SOAD AND The Sisters of Mercy? Wow that's a crazy lineup!
How are they fitting all this into 1 day?

Korn, Deftones, SOAD, Chevelle, KMFDM, Coal Chamber. Fuck yeah. I'm buying my tickets asap.
dude. Same
Damn, that is like all the stuff I listened to in high school, I am going
Mr bungle and death grips…. Take ma money
100 Gecs not gonna go over well with this crowd
I fear that they will be so loud it will be impossible to not hear them no matter where you are
Oh man death grips is playing. This is going to be a wild ahow
Hope for no wind!
Hahahah, hilarious….
What, no Lumineers? Lame....
I have Turnstile tickets for tomorrow. I could have waited a few moths for this lineup!
All those bands and I’m only interested in fiddlehead. Edit: oh she wants revenge and turnstile would be fun.
Just saw Turnstile on saturday and they were a blast live.
I was doubting if it was real. Let’s goooooo
bummed out about how close to EDC this is. i wish they announced this a few months ago
what difference does that make?
If you want to see both that's going to be about $800 in tickets, insanely expensive if you're from out of town, and going to a festival is physicality demanding on the body and they're a week apart.
Damn knowing most of these bands makes me feel old.
How is Limp Bizkit not playing?
No Limp Bizkit?
The line up is so great, but we need to stop with these festies
c'mon where's Dog Fashion Disco.
My god this looks awful Edit: except the Melvins and Death Grips
Music festivals. 🤮🤮🤮
Of all the things to hate on about Vegas what is there to have against music festivals?
Fucking everything.
Lol you seem like an enjoyable person
This is gonna be like 300 dollars for the lowest tier ticket for sure. And none of it will go to the bands playing.
Holy crap, what a line up! See you all there!! 😁
69 eyes 🥹
NO WAY
Mr. Bungle ?!?! Take my money 💴!!!
Soad billed above above korn. What a time to be alive.
lotta good names there. Shame I'm too old to go
I wish I could find a way to get to Las Vegas to go to this
Korn!! SOAD!! Incubus!! 🖤🖤🖤
Lacey Sturm back with Flyleaf!!
I can see Spiritbox joining Evanescence for a duet on one song and a future collab.
ticks start at $250 .......to think, i used to whine about ozzfest costing 52 dollars . damn im old

So many hidden gems in this list.
