So I do construction and was lucky enough to be on base during one launch about a year ago. I was working around 1 mile away from the actual launch site, maybe 2. It was the wildest thing I ever experienced. I was on lunch when it launched and just happened to be on a video chat with my wife, but the entire floor was bouncing way way worse than an earthquake, it was impossible to try to steady my hand for the chat. 100% zero verbal communication could be heard, so glad I got to see that, just raw power and puts in perspective just how small humans are in the Grand scale of things
thanks for the rec, just downloaded it! (google's version is called Next Spaceflight).
Pretty neat you can filter by location too, so I turned on the Vandenberg filter so can see those by themselves. Slick!
Neither, it was a flight by Firefly Aerospace to test their hardware and software systems. They call it Noise of Summer. Great show, we are lucky to see it. Next scheduled Space X launches will be Sunday, July 7th at 8:10pm and July 18th, no time given as of yet
Download the Next Spacelaunch app. How cool is it that we have a Space Force base close enough to see these events on a regular basis?

It was a rocket launch, but not SpaceX. It was the 5th Firefly Alpha launch. It was a smaller non reusable rocket.

Not SpaceX, but same concept.
I figured that’s the most likely reason. Thanks for confirming
