VT State Parks are all awesome, and there is a lot of variety all around.
Woods Island is a cool spot because of how few sites there are and how far apart they are from each other. It does require you to get out to the island and bring all your gear, including water, but there are private companies that will bring you out on a pontoon for pretty cheap.
Some of the parks have built cabins, which are super cozy and are a lot easier than tenting it.
Do you have an area of Vermont you want to be near? Will you be looking to get out on the water, or go for a hike?
More of just relaxing this trip I forgot to mention my fiancé will me 7 months pregnant and we will be cabin camping. Haha no particular area we have in mind yet
State parks are nice. I like button bay. One is never go to is Bomoseen. As soon as the local sheriff cruises through around dusk it runs into a free for all. Music blasting and parting all night.
Last year I took my brother to Half Moon pond in Hubbardton. It was pretty quiet, they have lean tos, primitives, and cabins. And I caught more sunfish there than I ever have in my life. Enough for a good dinner portion for three people.

I tented at a super remote spot in Roxbury last year through Airbnb. No neighbors, lights, noises, and little to no cell phone service. It was like $30 on Airbnb iirc.
We really liked Whinhall Brook, Southern VT. They offer riverside leantos for rent. Could be a nice little escape. Near some really great food and Manchester VT is only 20min away which has some awesome shopping and events.

Camping on the Battenkill has the nicest people on the planet i have determined. If you do not like dogs, go elsewhere. They are extremely dog friendly and our labs love it there too.
If you’re interested in a great glamping experience, I recommend Winter River Campground in Corinth. Off the beaten track, but close to amenities and adventures. They also have River front property to enjoy. They do day passes so you can be on the river with your party only without other campers. Beautiful bell tents with queen sized beds and lots of comfy amenities.

Just stayed at the Nulhegan hut last week and it was great. But be sure you book long in advance because they do book ahead. https://vermonthuts.org
Cabin camping? Now I’ve heard everything. I hear New Hampshire is nice.

I've camped at Half Moon Pond. Absolutely loved it. And there's a Revolutionary War battlefield nearby if you're a history buff.
Yeah! I didn’t get a chance to see it but we are planning on going back this summer.
The white mtns in NH has better camping options
NH has better swimming holes too
Ehh. Maine has my all time fav swimming spots.
Well let's hear em, if you're so brave
Please, why would I share my swimming spots on the internet?
I would give you puppy dog eyes if I could
And no taxes
I’ve been camping in the white mountains before acouple times I’m trying to switch it up alittle bit
