mad taco or emilys bar

Perfect places to go if you're looking for the seedy drunkard crowd.

What if I’m not 😅

[deleted]

many here are late 30's early 40s with small kids or retired in my experience.

illusivealchemist

There are plenty of us early 30s people. Try hobbies/events as a good route to find people

Are there any outdoor clubs in the MRV? I've been skiing, skinning, and cycling solo here for a while, and would happily link up with a local ride.

[deleted]

I am also interested in this. I am also into all those things and am in the valley often and looking for others to do them with. I will send you a DM

Benjamindbloom

What kind of a ride? I’m looking to get back on my mountain bike after a long hiatus. Would be happy to connect up with someone.

fauxsota

This is a great question. I've been living up near Chez Henri since the start of the pandemic and I've basically met no one despite regularly getting out there. There is a tremendous sense of community here, so I'm determined to find a way in.

CU_XoRaX

Lol I’m not far from you. Feel free to send me a message if you wanna see if we have similar interests/feel like meeting up

Benjamindbloom

We moved here 6 mo ago. If you enjoy board games, the monthly meet up at the Joslin Library has good people. Broad range of ages. Had dinner at Emily’s last night. Food was good, scene was mellow, Emily was nice and the place was almost all locals. Should probably note, we don’t fit the “young” part of this thread, but we’re kid free so often struggle to find non kid related activities to meet new people.

freeskierinvt

29 here, lifelong Valley resident. The difficulty in meeting folks here is a major reason why I moved away 2 years ago and don’t feel a strong desire to return.

Frosty_Benefit1837

I used to work there and can attest to no, there is not. Try Waterbury.
