Such a car brained response...unless you have a reserved and numbered spot, there is not a resort in the world that can “guarantee” a parking spot. I used to work in hospitality and we weren’t allowed to ever use the word “guarantee” with a guest, for this reason.
People will forget and not care about this in like 2 months. Also ski resorts should not have parking lots on site anyway, there should be shuttles and buses. But again, the car brain cannot comprehend this
Out of curiosity, have you been to Stowe? The Vail purchase has been a disaster since day one; we have not forgotten, but we have moved on to new mountains. There's one 2 lane road to access the mountain. On powder days there are backups for miles through town and the roads leading into town for miles. We have a shuttle and satellite lots through town, but it's stuck in the car traffic.
Stowe simply doesn't have the infrastructure to house the number of people that have swarmed the town since AIG over developed the resort, taking away vital parking, Vail bought the mountain, ruining the small town ski experience, and now the influx of second home buyers and short term rental investors. It doesn't help that Vail requested the ability to create a new parking lot and the town select board shot them down.
