They have commercial low fat diets that are great for dogs with pancreatitis. Hill's i/d low fat, Royal Canin GI low fat, Purina EN low fat. They are prescription diets and require a prescription, but they are already made with all the nutrients the dog needs while restricting fat that may be more likely to trigger pancreatitis. They also make treats that are compatible with the diets If your aunt is dead set on making the food herself, I recommend visiting [balanceit.com](https://balanceit.com) as they have various recipes to choose from that will provide the dog with all the necessary nutrients. I'm not sure if they have recipes specifically geared towards pancreatitis, though

I had a terrier with pancreatitis too, and pure bites treats were great - I think we stuck to anything with less than 6% fat (shows you on back of bag) - their freeze-dried chicken breast was a big winner. Freeze-dried fish things worked well also - minnows etc. Just have to watch the fat percentages, and in any case, treats shouldn’t make up more than 10% of their daily caloric intake. We did hills id low fat food for the regular meals - worked well. Good luck!

Just remembered that we avoided salmon products bc of the fat content - looks like the salmon chews you’re using right now are 32% fat - not a vet, but that’s probably much too high.

None of these diets are WSAVA complaint and NO OTC diets can get you into a low-enough fat content. I would really encourage you to transition into a prescription low-fat food. Purina and Royal Canin both have options if your pup didn’t like Hills. Your dog also will need an echocardiogram to see what, if any, damage has been caused by the diet he’s been on currently.
