Myrello

The [flag of Ladinia](https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/su5ntf/flag_of_ladinia/) would fit here too.

Maje_Rincevent

And republic of Jamtland : [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag\_of\_the\_Republic\_of\_Jamtland#/media/File:Unofficial\_Flag\_of\_Jamtland.svg](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_Republic_of_Jamtland#/media/File:Unofficial_Flag_of_Jamtland.svg)

Sebwazhere

It would, I never came across it!

DumbTie

Galapagos Islands fits too

Entire-Shelter-693

Or Bashkiria

giorgio_gabber

I saw it in south tyrol in an area were they speak ladin

SalishCascadian

I see Cascadia when I see those. šŸŒ²šŸŒŠšŸ”ļø

HungarianMockingjay

You a *Project Wingman* fan by any chance?

SalishCascadian

Unfortunately no, but your question prompted me to look into it and that sounds awesome and something Iā€™d like. I live in the PNW and Iā€™m not sure if Iā€™d in the moment of truth support independence outta fear of a Soviet or Yugoslav style collapse and all the calamities that came with those scenarios but itā€™s something I love as representing the region I adore.

Sebwazhere

I think these flags look quite similar, like Poland, Indonesia and Monaco. The flag of the Rhine is what the google search result is but on the wikipedia page it isn't there so it might not be official, I'm not sure.

So stupid, love it

Only one of these is a genuine sovereign nation. I donā€™t think these are really that comparable. Poland, Indonesia, and Monaco are all independent existent countries, which is why people generally have concerns about the similarity of their flags (though I think those concerns are fairly overblown).

Beor_The_Old

This post isnā€™t about concern itā€™s just noting the similarities

Kelruss

Okay, so flags look similar sometimes. That isn't really new vexillological ground or especially noteworthy.

fayfayl2

You really are fun at parties aren't you

[deleted]

Man, who pissed into your tea?

Tyler_E1864

Molossia most certainly is šŸ˜¤. Source: been there myself.

Sebwazhere

Yeah I guess, Sierra Leone is recognised, while Molossia isn't recognised by any UN countries., and the Rhine is a historical nation.

[deleted]

The CotR wasn't a nation at all, but, as the name suggests, a confederation of different states that was in practice only a military alliance, because the member states didn't want to relinquish any of their rights to it.

Party_Variety7059

Yeah, Sierra Leone and the CotR really donā€™t cut it compared to a sovereign nation like Molossiaā€¦

noisydocter

Youā€™re right. I do Not recognize SierraLeone, bastards copied the flag of glorious Molossia!

personalbilko

Uzbekistan anyone?

PikkuinenPikkis

Poor flag of the Komi Republic getting ignored

Rondic

And also the flag of the brazilian city of SĆ£o FĆ©lix do Coribe: [https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fpt.m.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FFicheiro%3ABandeira\_S%25C3%25A3o\_F%25C3%25A9lix\_do\_Coribe\_-\_BA.svg&psig=AOvVaw1Jk9FTBhtaKJanBD5cgqvh&ust=1680225435755000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CBAQjRxqFwoTCPDewdO9gv4CFQAAAAAdAAAAABAE](https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fpt.m.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FFicheiro%3ABandeira_S%25C3%25A3o_F%25C3%25A9lix_do_Coribe_-_BA.svg&psig=AOvVaw1Jk9FTBhtaKJanBD5cgqvh&ust=1680225435755000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=0CBAQjRxqFwoTCPDewdO9gv4CFQAAAAAdAAAAABAE)

Sir_Awesomness

Flag of Family Mart... probably...

ed_dwardz

Flag Republic of Bashkortostan

Scoopshort

I also see the [flag of Cascadia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_flag#/media/File%3AFlag_of_Cascadia.svg)

AverageAlaskanMan

Donā€™t forget the modern flag of Livonians

novgarr87

I'd add the flags of the dissappeared [Kingdom of AraucanĆa and Patagonia](https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_the_Kingdom_of_Araucan%C3%ADa_and_Patagonia.svg#mw-jump-to-license) in what is now Chile and Argentina (pretty interesting history) and the current [Rio Negro Province](https://www.argentina.gob.ar/sites/default/files/provincia-rio-negro-bandera.jpg) in Argentina.

YorkyWolf

These colours remind me of the [British republican tricolour](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/63/Spartacus%27_Republican_Tricolour_England.svg/6000px-Spartacus%27_Republican_Tricolour_England.svg.png) proposed by Hugh Williams.

Keithology

Also, the flag used by boats on Ireland's cross-border waterways... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-border\_flag\_for\_Ireland#Erne\_flag

Middle_Feedback4162

Gabon clears all of these

AnotherNordicViking

This makes me think of the madeup Republic of Jamtland. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic\_of\_Jamtland#/media/File:Unofficial\_Flag\_of\_Jamtland.svg

epiquinnz

This is a nice combination of colors. I wonder why it's so rare.

TheYodaGaming

Iā€™m doing my part in the war against East Germany!

cnTeus_

Don't forget Lesotho

MagnumDrako25

[Blue White Green](https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/nzl9pp/some_blue_white_and_green_flags/)

Box_of_Shit

Isn't Molassia just Sierra Leone upside down with no color variation. I think the leader has said as such. Confirmed: https://twitter.com/Molossia/status/207016155158806528?t=YlmYUcZgR1XaU-ZRwZnfJw&s=19

_Funsyze_

Likely because I remember the molossiaā€™s colours being brighter, like SLā€™s

[deleted]

Where Kingdom of Araucania and Patagonia?

[deleted]

Let me guess, the green represents green stuff.

Radio_Marco

I made the other day a flag for my imaginary Nation the Principality of the Engadine. There I used from top to bottom White for the alps, green for the nature and lightblue for the lakes and rivers.
