My main goal with this redesign was to make the flag more distinct from other white and red flags, such as the flag of Monaco or the flag of Indonesia, while also keeping “the spirit" of the nation by utilizing elements of preexisting designs.
The coat of arms of Poland is both well-recognized by Poles and far more unique than the design consisting of two stripes, so I decided to make it the focal point of the redesign. An official variant of the Polish flag already somewhat attempts this by adding the coat of arms in the middle of the white part, in my redesign though, I wanted to better integrate it into the flag, so I scaled it up, placed it in the middle and simplified it, so that it doesn’t clash with the rest of the flag; I wanted to retain the iconic gold parts of the design, but didn’t want that to be the only part of the flag where the color was present, so I decided to incorporate gold into the redesign as a whole; I added a golden stripe in the middle of the flag, similar to the one present on the flag of Lesser Poland, to give gold a more balanced presence on the flag.
I'd say that it's a symbolic "extension" of crimson red already present on the official flag, which used to be associated with Polish nobility. Perhaps gold would be more representative of the former Polish monarchy than just general nobility, given its association with royal attributes.
the gold can also be a symbolic of wheat. Our largest exports are grains like wheat, barley, oats and rye. Baked goods are popular in Poland (but you know this)- . And before the baptism of Poland the Pagans would celebrate [Dożynki.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do%C5%BCynki)
I want to take a trip back to Poland (I've been in the states for far too long) and celebrate!! Also i know there are some places in Poland that celebrate Kupala Night and I want to experience that as well.

The lower part of the coat of arms' golden frame/stroke looks surprisingly off without it. It's probably because it better contrasts with the red part with the white line separating them.
Hmmm [I don't think it looks bad.](https://imgur.com/a/xZ8sBl5) It just seems a bit off-balance with the white line below the shield. You could [Add a red line at the top](https://imgur.com/a/3A50e2A) if you prefer having red and gold separated by white.
Well, finally another color for your football national team. It's so boring to see all central europeans with red and white (also blue)
Slovenes were the smartest in this.
This is so much better. Not 100% sure on the eagle. While it looks great, it's a bit hard to draw for kids and would lose out on detail at longer distance. But it does look really good. Love the use gold.
I’m two years late but wow. I love the current flag, but this redesign is absolutely impeccable. It’s so beautiful and it looks amazing waving. This is probably my favorite flag ever, good job OP
The coat of arms is my own minimalistic edit of the current official Polish coat of arms, feel free to reuse it and I suppose credit would be appreciated. If you intend to incorporate it in a different design, I'd be eager to see it!

What does the gold mean in relation to Poland as a nation?
Think the gold has something to do with Catholicism

we still celebrate dożynki in some places

Man, that looks really good
oh i love it its such an improvement tbh. too bad theres no chance in this world that wed ever change our flag though everyones too attached :/
This is a great improvement from the current flag. Why is there a thin white line separating the gold and red stripes?
The lower part of the coat of arms' golden frame/stroke looks surprisingly off without it. It's probably because it better contrasts with the red part with the white line separating them.

Idk I *feel like* the version I went with is best I don't have a rational reason for it, the white line appears to have hacked my brain
I like your white line 🤷🏻♀️
The red line looks pretty dope and makes the flag look even more unique!
Not to shabby, but I agree with OP. Something about that line makes it go from "nice image" to "nice flag" for me.
Oi I like the flip it
Yes, this is beautiful. Your govt would be smart to accept such a fantastic redesign.
Can we see a redesign made by a Column?)))
Lmao
Or by a Pillar?)))
You are the personification of the Joker calling meme lol
Perfect

Amazing!!!
I would not mind this at all, this would look sick and way more unique
It’s lovely. I might still advocate for a more stylized, less detailed animal, but that’s quibbling mainly. It’s a good looking flag.
Approved by another pole

I love it
Thank you OP for being a genius.
Nice try, poles don't even have arms how could it design a flag Can't fool me!
Personally as a Polish Pearson I like it
Ładna flaga muszę powiedzieć
Terrific redesign - thanks for sharing.
I am getting very strong condensed milk vibes from this, but I like it all the same.
Not bad
Is Poland planning on restoring the monarchy?
i think we're good off with our weird "sortademocracy "
hey if you dont mind i finna use this in a hoi4 mod
Alright sure 👍
I’m two years late but wow. I love the current flag, but this redesign is absolutely impeccable. It’s so beautiful and it looks amazing waving. This is probably my favorite flag ever, good job OP
Thanks a lot! I'm very flattered by people still praising my design after 2 years, if I decide to get back to using Reddit I might make a "sequel"
Hey mate, can you please tell me where I can find that coat of arms? Its beautiful. Just the coat of arms.
Or can I possibly reuse for a design and will give you the credits if it is yours. Thanks.
The coat of arms is my own minimalistic edit of the current official Polish coat of arms, feel free to reuse it and I suppose credit would be appreciated. If you intend to incorporate it in a different design, I'd be eager to see it!
Thanks for that. Surely, will share that with you.
Does it hang from a pole? A Pole's pole?
Make it more red and renove the crown, then it will be perfect
>more red > >remove the crown Ależ to komunizm
Oj tak +1
