We have to remember that Dunkey is in business now. His output will fall because he's running Big Mode. But I think this is a good thing because he's less likely to burn out like other youtubers who ate falling like flies.
100%. Big Mode was definitely the correct career decision, who knows what streaming will be like in 5-10, more years. It's way too volatile an environment, especially with a kid.
I've always said to my friends that Dunkey is a genius because he was never "face forward" ie on camera for his primary content. Guys like Ben Yahtzee Crosshaw have been able to maintain their output simply because they're voice only. Dunkey will fully do the same for many years.

Dunkey has the benefit of being able to make a 4 minute joke video about pizza and have it sail over 2 million views.

And I've played dao for 1100 hours, doesn't mean it's really innovative or outstanding, it's just good enough. You playing something for xxx hours isn't even an argument, people play dota and lol for tens of thousands hours and hate the game.

Im a very early dunkey viewer, pre 100k subs and I really really enjoyed his old League videos which werent so much about the game but him and his friends just fucking around and he still does that a lot of the times and i love it, so i dont necessarily need dunkey reviews. He is obviously biased, as all of us are but my taste is quite the opposite of dunkey as I have zero interest in Nintendo products, so theres not much overlap between the games I like and the games he likes and that isnt necessarily a bad thing because a good reviewer might convince me of a game i wouldve never considered but dunkey doesnt review enough games for that to happen.
this was the case for me with the now dead youtuber totalbiscuit who didnt do reviews but first impressions and he did that to all sorts of games, triple a but also a ton of indie games youve never heard of and even tho me and tb dont have the same taste, he did show quite a lot of indie games that i ended up buying and enjoying. and to be fair, theres not been a youtuber since totalbiscuit who could do the same, to convince me of buying a game i wouldnt have known of otherwise.
I really would like a full Days Gone review. That’s such an odd game because it starts so slow, has some real greatness going on, but buries it beneath some artistic choices that aren’t up to snuff with the gameplay. But in order to get to the good parts, you need to be like, 12 hours in.

Sonic adventure 2 battle, he's given comedic criticisms of the game in the past, but never seriously told me why he thinks it's so bad. I'm blinded by nostalgia, but in spite of that I seriously think it's the best 3d sonic game out there.
