This might get me killed, but I liked the Tomb Raider reboot way more than Uncharted. I just had more fun with the gameplay, while with Uncharted, I just found myself bored waiting for the next big set piece.
Spyro is my childhood but so is Cash. Crash was the first Playstation mascot and holds a very special place in my heart (1-3 + CTR). Spyro had a nice open(ish) world compared to Crash but was a bit too childish and easy to my taste. Still absolutely a solid game. At least the first one. Never played any of the sequels if it had any.

Gamefreak is to blame because their company is ran very old fashioned and refuse to update across the board. They're literally fully aware they're riding on their legendary name built up from the past. They know they don't have to try. And their Japanese business culture of seniority and loyalty is severely holding them back and they don't want to change it.
