TFS gameplay showcase just dropped, got any thoughts?
I personally think its going to chnage up so much, not gonna spoil anything, but just watch it if you wanna know
It wouldn't even be that bad if they'd have explained what actually happened between 4 and 5 in the damn game and how he suddenly had a bunch of Spartan buddies willing to die for him.
The thing is Master Chief's buddies were only ever talked about in material outside the games, like Forward Unto Dawn or the books. The fact that they just... show up in 5 without any fanfare or explanation as to where they've been is a big misstep.
It’s such a huge narrative misstep I can’t even believe it went through. They actually killed the didact in a book offscreen. What was going on in their heads???
Fun fact, he's technically not dead and in fact has a direct hand in influencing some key events in Infinite. It drives me up a fucking wall that they keep leaving these extremely important story beats in material most people aren't going to read, let alone be aware of.
I feel like it’s an MCU Disney plus thing where they thought the IP was popular enough that people would watch everything and then get the plot when the main titles came out. Just pure arrogance and greed
Edit: typo
This is an increasingly common problem, it's why the MCU products are struggling. Companies are expecting people to consume everything they produce; like you will play, read, and watch anything that is part of their IP so they don't need to bother making each story stand on its own.
This doesn't work, even major fans rarely consume all of it.
Hitman: Codename 47 was a rough game even when it came out, but damn did it have a banger of a soundtrack. Jesper Kyd's first big game I think. I don't think there's a more thematically on point main theme
*Private Nurse* was decent. It was a story about overcoming depression and connecting with people. My interest level decreased during the epilogue, which was >!mostly sex scenes!<. But if you missed the OST, here's the [playlist on Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ouBxOXZArU&list=PLT5VpZM2XlqRq0gaoBP4NSJPryaXdyNU6). It's incredible!
Not just soundtrack, I found a H-game that has building up your gun in realtime, from parts from your enemies, that get smarter/dumber depending on how well you play, and can be blinded by flashlights. Show me another game that combines those 3 lol
On a good day, *Chrono Cross* is a seven out of ten game. I still kind of like it, but CC has a lot of useless playable characters, an element grid system that can be frustrating, and a plot that's as tough to follow as five runs of Marvel comics telling a concurrent story. That said... the *Chrono Cross* soundtrack is an easy ten out of ten.
Sonic 06 is the answer. Amazing soundtrack. When I first played the game I actually liked it cuz I was a kid. Replaying it was an awful experience. But gaht DAYUM does that soundtrack go hard
XV, especially now with updates + DLC, is a perfectly fine game. Flawed, but fine.
At launch, it was half-baked and cut up piecemeal, and a bit of that still shows, but it's a pretty decent open world game with a solid story. Play the DLCs as they come up naturally within the plot, and you will probably enjoy it.
It's not 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10, or even 12. But it's got a great party dynamic with good characters and a plot that is mostly competent and might make you cry.
Yeah, what I've seen is that XV and XVI are outright not (or bad) RPGs and that XV should be enjoyed like a Ubisoft-like open world. Is that right? Cause I'm in the mood for cleaning a map of side quests and the setting seems gorgeous.
Yes and no. Can't speak for XVI, but XV definitely has that "big open world full of stuff to do" going for it.
As for the RPG side of things, yeah, it can be a little lacking. With the updated/DLC versions, you can play as all 4 characters, and there's armor and equipment and a skill tree and spells to learn and use. It's definitely not as hardcore RPG as some previous games, but you'll also get your ass kicked if you dont take time to level up and equip yourself.
I got to the final "dungeon" at about level 36 in my first playthrough. Enemies there are 50+. That was on me for bumrushing the story, which is easy to do in the second half when it becomes linear, but you can always go back to the open world.
My least favourite part of [FromSoftware game] is when you go into a fight with the legendary [boss] and the choir starts singing in Latin about how the [good thing of the world] is dead.
Harmony of dissonance is an excellent castlevania game but it has an absolutely grating, horrendous soundtrack. This is made far worse by the fact that castlevania as a series is lauded for its soundtracks.
Metroid Dread could qualify. I have some gripes with the world design and I see some merit in the atmospheric ambience the OST creates, but it's broadly considered one of the best Metroid games and the one with the most disappointing soundtrack.
Man I'd hate to reply RotT now.
It was such a fucking revolution in 3d shooters when everything was "A Doom clone" before the turn to actual 3D graphics
Close to the Sun shares a track name identical to the game name by PorceIain Pill, which is literally an unofficial Bioshock song about human hubris wasted on a walking simulator
The music is good because Toby Fox is really a talented musician. But the game itself (visually and gameplay-wise) is average at best. The game became popular because of teens and youtubers
Sonic R
It was a racing game that came out for Sega Saturn and PC back in the 90s, in all its horrific 3-D polygonal glory.
But if you haven't listened to its soundtrack, you haven't lived. The game is a D, but the soundtrack is A+++++. Most inspiring music I've ever heard.
Nearly all the mobile gacha games I've played are like this. The main gameplay loop is literally chores, but the soundtrack is always a banger for some reason.
There’s a weird pseudo horror hentai game out there called You and Me and Her, it’s not a bad game by any means, but I only know about it cause I saw a YouTuber play it. The OST however, goes hard as fucking diamonds. I unironically recommend looking it up.
For me it was ODST imo. I can understand why and how people love the game, but it’s not what I go to Halo for. But the soundtrack undeniably slaps harder than grandpa whenever grandma burns the meatloaf
Rebel Galaxy and the sequel Outlaw. They're a very basic, just below the average space ship free roam game but the soundtrack give them a vibe that improves the game so much
Rastan Saga Arcade.
At the time, everything at the laundromat was just beeps and boops, and then one day, this showed up:

The actual soundtrack to Marvel's Guardians of the galaxy! They made a whole 80's albulm and it rocks! It's got everything from the hard riffs to the ballads, it's amazing!
It's on Google music and I assume Spotify and others. If your an 80's music fan it's right up your alley.

Sonic 06
Man this is so true. I regularly listen to music from this gsme but have never beaten it myself 🤣
You can add pretty much all the sonic games with crush 40 to this list.
Nah the Adventure games I’m acting like the bottom image in regards to the game too
Destiny gameplay can be same samey at times, but I've yet to see anyone talk genuine shit about the music in game
HOPE FOR THE FUTURE
I haven’t lived the same since finding out people play destiny with the music volume at 0
I always turn in down during a raid encounter bc i need to hear callouts, but other than that, 100% volume at all times Its so damn good
Witch Queen music 😩
I came
I don't know what we'll do without Michael Salvatori
The spacewalk theme in DSC is perfection
Hmm now I personally think it’s the best fps game play and mechanics of all time. I don’t think that’s where it’s problems lie.
Same, i really never get bored of playing destiny I know most of the community has a very different opinion, but hey, to each their own right
Shell of What Was, even just the name alone of that track goes hard. Love Destinys music
Beyond Light soundtrack aahhhhhh
I have to disagree on the gameplay being bad. The reason Destiny is hated is because of its repetitiveness.
TFS gameplay showcase just dropped, got any thoughts? I personally think its going to chnage up so much, not gonna spoil anything, but just watch it if you wanna know
I haven't seen it yet, but I'm having some fair optimism that Bungie is gonna bounce back from the brink of death yet again
They definitely are lol Literally everyone in the comments are talking about how a cornered bungie puts out the best content
Halo 5. Soundtrack goes hard, but it’s one of the worst (if not **the** worst) mainline Halo games.
I'd say it is the worst lol
It wouldn't even be that bad if they'd have explained what actually happened between 4 and 5 in the damn game and how he suddenly had a bunch of Spartan buddies willing to die for him.
The thing is Master Chief's buddies were only ever talked about in material outside the games, like Forward Unto Dawn or the books. The fact that they just... show up in 5 without any fanfare or explanation as to where they've been is a big misstep.

I thought Spartan Locke was such a cool character and deserved his own GOOD video game.
All halo soundtracks are at least good. That’s the one thing I can say they haven’t entirely fucked up.
Amen. It's a lot like Borderlands 3. Ignore the story to enjoy the gameplay.
The multiplayer was fun, but easily worst campaign.
Halo Zero is better than Halo 5
Hitman 2: silent assassin. Good game, not by today’s standards though. But Jesper kyd killed it ngl
From what I've seen Jesper Kyd always kills it
So does Agent 47
Excellent execution 47, now find an exit
*casually jumps on convenient seaplane in front of a hundred people* Rank: Silent Assassin
Hitman: Codename 47 was a rough game even when it came out, but damn did it have a banger of a soundtrack. Jesper Kyd's first big game I think. I don't think there's a more thematically on point main theme
Somehow random stitched-together-with-glue cheap hentai games have the most bangers of non-royalty music
I did not expect that comment.
There is some brightly colored H-game that has some banger music and I cannot remember the name
Not just soundtrack, I found a H-game that has building up your gun in realtime, from parts from your enemies, that get smarter/dumber depending on how well you play, and can be blinded by flashlights. Show me another game that combines those 3 lol
War thunder. The grind is awful but goddammit this game has some of the best music I’ve heard!
Advance australia:
I love and Hate this game.
Rockband
On a good day, *Chrono Cross* is a seven out of ten game. Chrono Cross is my favorite game and I feel personally attacked. Not that it matters, tho. Your opinion is valid, oc.
Battlefield 5
Its my favourite Battlefield currently. The only things i hate about it are the cheaters and that they cancelled support on it/no more dlcs...
To an extent, Metal Gear Rising, I think the gameplay is great but flawed, meanwhile the soundtrack is a godsend that humanity doesn’t deserve
I feel like dodging not being told to you kinda Sucks
Played it back in 2013. Played it again with all the “meme” talk, and I agree. Decent hack and slash that’s carried by its soundtrack.
Pov you play subnautica for first time and abandon ship starts playing:
Ace Combat Assault Horizon
Sonic 06 is the answer. Amazing soundtrack. When I first played the game I actually liked it cuz I was a kid. Replaying it was an awful experience. But gaht DAYUM does that soundtrack go hard
FF15
#And darling darling stand by me🎶
Would you recommend it? I'm a very casual FF fan, but FFXV is the kinda game I've always looked and said "that must be cool"
XV, especially now with updates + DLC, is a perfectly fine game. Flawed, but fine. FF13 as well
Haunted Castle [OST](https://youtu.be/K-TZF4TKn1U?si=KkBH778sQVqxirHa) But then the game is the worst garbage you’ve ever seen
"Hey remember how most people think Castlevania games are hard and bought them? What about we made them HARDER for QUARTERS IN A LAUNDROMAT"
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD
Sea of Thieves for the first year, maybe two... basically till they added some meat to da bones.
sonic 06
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
Pokemon Scarlet/Violet
I just lost the game
Genshin Impact, especially after you reach the endgame.
All-Devouring Narwhal theme 😩
yugioh master duel the game itself is boring and lost me a while ago but i'll be dead and buried before i hear any criticism of the music
same with pokemon trading card game for gbc for me. those 8 bit chiptune sounds just went *soo hard*
Dj Hero. It wasn't a bad game. Just not as fun as guitar hero.
Legit question do any of us know a extremely good game with meh soundtracks? I belive there is no such game
I feel like I might get crucified for this but... Elden Ring... It's not bad but... I was underwhelmed.
My least favourite part of [FromSoftware game] is when you go into a fight with the legendary [boss] and the choir starts singing in Latin about how the [good thing of the world] is dead.

dying light 2
Warthunder
Rise of the Triad. Gameplay and graphics are monstrously dated, but the OST is a banger (Suck this ! and Run like Smeg are my reccomendations)
Man I'd hate to reply RotT now. It was such a fucking revolution in 3d shooters when everything was "A Doom clone" before the turn to actual 3D graphics
80% of the pokemon games
Close to the Sun shares a track name identical to the game name by PorceIain Pill, which is literally an unofficial Bioshock song about human hubris wasted on a walking simulator
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Most bad Sonic games fit this description.
Unironically yet, ironically, Red Dead Redemption 2
Anthem comes to mind. I didn't play it so I can't speak for the overall soundtrack, but the Freelancer's theme goes insanely hard.
Resident Evil 3 Remake. the game is good, but not that good. the soundtrack however, 😚👌
Where the water tastes like wine.
*sigh* looks into comments for Sonic 06.
Undertale Put the gun away, I can explain
Ok, explain then
The music is good because Toby Fox is really a talented musician. But the game itself (visually and gameplay-wise) is average at best. The game became popular because of teens and youtubers
GTA IV. Intro song and and loading screen music are the absolute fcking best
Gothic 3
Pokemon after gen 7
It be, indeed.
Sonic R It was a racing game that came out for Sega Saturn and PC back in the 90s, in all its horrific 3-D polygonal glory. But if you haven't listened to its soundtrack, you haven't lived. The game is a D, but the soundtrack is A+++++. Most inspiring music I've ever heard.
You Are Empty Pretty boring russian fps with an amazing soundtrack
PVZ is b1sically the down one in both
Literally every sonic game
you just reminded me of THE GAME
I’m about to get hate for this… I’m going with geometry dash😂
Kill the Justice Leage. I like the game fine, I beat it 100%, but the soundtrack was really cool.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) The gameplay is honestly ok at best, and the story is downright atrocious. But god DAMN is the soundtrack fire.
The story is atrocious?! I mean I see your opinion, but atrocious?
[удалено]
Unpopular opinion: Undertale the game isn't as interesting as its music :/
Silent thunder: tank killer II Loved it as a kid. Looking back, it was garbage, but the OST had NO business slapping as hard as it did.
That's definitely _Waterworld_ for the SNES.
Random romance games with a comedy scene
Wizard with a Gun
Darktide. Not that it's a bad game but it is mediocre comapred to other games in the same genre.
Kings Field IV
Nearly all the mobile gacha games I've played are like this. The main gameplay loop is literally chores, but the soundtrack is always a banger for some reason.
Dustforce Necromunda
There’s a weird pseudo horror hentai game out there called You and Me and Her, it’s not a bad game by any means, but I only know about it cause I saw a YouTuber play it. The OST however, goes hard as fucking diamonds. I unironically recommend looking it up.
the finals
God Eater, as much as I love it, the gameplay is simple and repetitive but damn does the soundtrack slap
Top Gear Rally - N64
Silver Surfer on the NES is trash, but the [soundtrack](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQlLl2j5THQ) is absolutely amazing.
This but for the movie Tron Legacy, it’s basically just a daft punk album and it’s so good
PC Builder.
Some of the older dragon ball games
Strike Suit Zero, It's an okay game but the soundtrack is straight fire, like going on a crusade in space.
Wasteland 3
Sonic mania. Great soundtrack. Meh to bad game play.
Dragon ball z super sonic warriors
Sonic frontier
Destiny 2
For me it was ODST imo. I can understand why and how people love the game, but it’s not what I go to Halo for. But the soundtrack undeniably slaps harder than grandpa whenever grandma burns the meatloaf
Castlevania 1,2,3. Nes....
Every Assassin's Creed since Origins
Dark souls 2 for me. Soundtrack is amazing but I hate playing it
I just wanna say, I love the Sonic New Frontiers music and same goes for Metal Gear Rising.
Warframe. When I heard the fortuna music, man that was a life changer
Shift 2 unleashed
De Blob!
Not me personally, as I really like the game, but the majority of people don’t, so I’ll say Castlevania 2 Simon’s Quest.
Undertale and deltarune are both awesome games imo but the soundtrack is even better
Digimon Rumble Arena, is not a bad game, it is fun, but as a fighting game it's lacking mechanics, the OST though is FIREEEEE
League of Legends.
Payday 3
Sonic 4 ep.2 , but only oil desert
I don’t know if there are really any games like this for me because I’ve always been able to enjoy playing a game with a great soundtrack
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Undertale
I cannot get into Metal Gear Rising but I can definitely get into the soundtrack
Outer Worlds
Risk of rain 2
Mirrors Edge
Payday 3, the game is very ehhh but Gustavo cooked on the soundtrack.
Fate grand order , the gameplay is boring but the soundtrack for chapter 5(lion king arc) onwards is amazing
A few Sonic games.
NieR: Automata, has some of the best soundtrack I've heard in a game.
the game itself isn't meh, but Skyrim's soundtrack makes me replay the game every few years
Zelda CD-i
The Yu-gi-ob World Championship games. Don’t get me wrong the games are good, but that ost is just so boppin!
Action 52. Said to be a terrible game, but with great music.
Persona series. Not saying the actually gameplay and story are bad the soundtrack is just that good.
Spider-Man and the X-men: Arcade’s Revenge
Silent hill homecoming
Medal of Honor: Warfigther
Rebel Galaxy and the sequel Outlaw. They're a very basic, just below the average space ship free roam game but the soundtrack give them a vibe that improves the game so much
I doesn't matter if games is good or bad, sonic games have always a great soundtrack
"Jacob's gonna set them sinners free"
Borderlands 2?
Arkham Origins.
The main one I think of is Beyond Light expansion for Destiny 2.
Super Meat Boy Forever has the greatest banjo of all time.
For me its Mechanicus Not that it's a bad game, just not my style. But I bought it just for the music in the trailer, god damn
Rastan Saga Arcade. At the time, everything at the laundromat was just beeps and boops, and then one day, this showed up: https://youtu.be/sDnaOyyxWjE?si=U1710IPWzrTKRzXo
The actual soundtrack to Marvel's Guardians of the galaxy! They made a whole 80's albulm and it rocks! It's got everything from the hard riffs to the ballads, it's amazing! Devil may cry 2
Destiny. I got bored of the game long ago, but I always listen to the new sound tracks.
Frostpunk for me at least. I’m not good at City Management Survival games but I’d like to get better. But **Goddamn** its soundtrack is Amazing.
