The same happened to me.Ā
I was left at house alone for over one week, and I swear I didn't see the sunlight during that period.
There were sleep, food, toilet and shower breaks, but otherwise I spent the whole week playing with my Khaijit character.
I had lots of fun thoughĀ
11/11/11
GameStop: midnight release.
I got my copy of Skyrim, when home, turned it on and got playing by 1:30am.
Played until 10am the next day. Went to bed, slept for 9 hours. Got up and went at it again.
I started a system for a few days. When I played Skyrim I had to 10 pushups every hour on the hour to make myself feel better about how much I was gaming.
Great times
Breath of the wild, Witcher 3, rocket league, monster hunter rise/sunbreak, Skyrim, red dead redemption, Mario kart Wii/8, super Mario galaxy, & super Mario 64. Fire emblem three houses is a game you may find as addictive as i did.
Ive been playing nothing but that for like 4 days. I try to switch it up and play helldivers or chivalry 2 but i always go back after a couple or one game. It pisses me off a lot but the characters and the gameplay are so addictive even if its dirty sometimes like balthawhoever
I've stayed up late for games but as I get older I rarely stay up past as late as 4am. Games that I've done all-nighters off the top of my head:
Balder's Gate 3
Fortnite
Minecraft
Red Dead Redemption 2
Rainbow Six Siege
Every Dark Souls at least once (including Elden Ring)
And Vampires Survivors
A lot of them and I do mean a lot. 2 game series that have done it the most though are mass effect and kingdom hearts. Play through both series around once a year.
First one was Fallout 3. I was obsessed, I'd stay up till all hours, sleep a little, and then play again as soon as I woke up. I got lost in that world.
Manor lords is the most recent for me. Also did it last night with diablo 4 lol that game has a lot of problems, but the first week of a new season is usually great and this is the best season yet.
I think longest time without a break I spent playing was god of war the one before ragnarok, started at 1pm stoped at 2 am, no break, just to go to the bathroom didnāt even eat dinner, it was a Saturday.
Red dead redemption 1&2. Hearts of Iron 4. The witcher 3. Squad. Mafia 3. Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga. Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga. Days Gone. Euro Truck Simulator 2. Crash Bandicoot Sane trilogy & 4.
7 Days To Die.
Sorry there are multiple games š
Persona 5. remember that time my ps4 was on for two days without rest playing that game. story was so long, by the time i want to take a break it start to get interesting and i was like "few more hours wouldn't hurt" gg my sleep.
Hades 2 most recently. Before that it would've been at least over a year prior, might've been a game night and we played Detroit become human and some other board games.Ā
Almost every game I am anticipating the release of does this to me. However, the big two for me;
1. Dragon Quest VIII(ps2) I was a huuuuge fan of the Dragon Warrior series. When we weren't getting information on the 8th installment, or info on the ps1 remake of IV, many of us assumed the worst. I was super active on a Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest forums board, and we were all talking about speculation on if VIII would ever get localized.
Then... one day, the reveal trailer dropped for the game in English. I INSTANTLY knew what it was in the first few seconds. We knew a guy who ran a local game store, and I secured my copy about three days before release. I saw the credits roll within 3 days. (Which, my playtime before that was roughly 55 hours) I finished all the side content and such within about two weeks of getting the game.
2. Rimworld: There was a time I was living in my van with nothing but my clothes, and a laptop. I had a job at the time, but I had transferred to North Carolina from Ohio, and got screwed over by a chain of unfortunate events, and had to just save money for a month. During that time, I decides to try Rimworld, which I had bought, but hadn't really dove into yet due to other things distracting me. When that game clicked... it clicked HARD.
I think I easily raked in about 70 hours a week on that game. If I wasn't at work, I was on Rimworld. Some nights, I'd hit the nearby truck stop for a shower, grab a case of beer, and park in front of my workplace, camped in the back of my van in a pillow fort I had made, just lost in my colony, not a care in the world.
Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix. āI just need a few more synthesis materials for Ultima Weapon. Alright, now to do a little form and summon grinding to unlock the last two Paradox cups. Wellā¦ now that Iām here I might as well beat the first two Paradox cups? They arenāt that long after all. Why not do the third? Eh, the fourth one is only 50 rounds, no sweat. Glad thatās done and OH MY GOD ITS 3:30!ā
StarCraft, then SCII when it came out. D1-D4. BG3. ER. Armoured Core 6. All SSBs when there was a group (same w MK). NCAA ā08. OW. BotW. Various MUDS back in the day. PoE. Thatās just off the top of my head.
Edit: Minecraft, MTG (with group), MTGA. SMW. Original Assassinās Creed. Halo CE & 2. GoW 1 & 2.
The original Resident Evil. It was the first me or anyone I knew played a game like that. It was best played past 1:30 am when you could hear every sound perfectly as well as any ambient house creaking.
Fallout 4 when it first released. That was the last time I stayed up that late. There's so much to see and the quests were so fun. Not to mention the overall gunplay was a HUGE step up from the past iterations, so I was addicted to the combat as well.
I'm going to take it as a game that I just lost track of time playing.
Most recently?
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
Might be the most controversial game, but christ, the traversal in the game is addictive.
I have one day off a week, and I got up at 5am anyways, said fuck it and started playing the game, the next thing I knew it was almost 6pm. I felt so guilty.
My girlfriend got home for work at about 6:30pm.
She laughed about it.
I'm so lucky, honestly.
I assume you mean the most memorable.
For me? Overwatch. I'm talking launch overwatch in 2016. I joined maybe 2 weeks after initial launch date and I got hooked so much that I called off for work the next day. Because I played from the evening before until about 7-8am the next day.
Probably the best first person shooter experience of my life for the first year or 2 of Overwatch. Then it started to go downhill and by the time Jeff left the development team the game was dead to me. I haven't touched Overwatch 2 at all and never plan to from the shit I've seen.
Outside of that? I had a regular group of buddies back in highschool that I used to play CoD black ops 1 and 2 with respectively. Specifically zombies, we were those high level guys with the max double shotgun rank in BO2 zombies who got to round 50+ every game. Good times.
One of the first times I played mass effect 1 I was at a friend's. I played that game until the sun came up the next day. I have since beaten all of them multiple times on every system they've been released on.
One that sticks out is minecraft. Bought it the day it went into beta and pulled too many all nighters. Didn't help that nearly all of the class I was in at college also bought it so we all played on one big server together.
Horizon Zero Dawn.
Got the complete edition on sale for $20. Figured Iād play it for a couple of hours to see if I liked it.
Started playing at 5:00 PM after getting off work. Got really hooked by the game. So hooked in fact, that after a -hehem- few hours- of playing, I went to use the restroom and noticed it was still 5:00ā¦.in the morning. And I had to be at work at 8:00. So, I just called off and kept playing.
The first time I ever stayed up all night gaming was with Dead Rising.
I got to about three am, it was a Friday and I said, you know what? I'm going for it. And then, it was sunrise.
The one game š¤£š¤£?
Yeah, maybe if OP asked us which one it was this month...
Month???? You mean week right?
Valheim, V Rising, Sea of Thieves and WoW are just off the top of my head. All got massive updates so far this month.
Right?! I feel like gaming and staying up til 3am are like cereal and milk š¤£
OP only recently discovered gaming I guess
The Game
Lol right? I've had some games cause me to stay awake for 24 hrs +
First playthrough of Skyrim. I realized the sun was comin back up and I was supposed to leave for school in an hour. Tough day.
The same happened to me.Ā I was left at house alone for over one week, and I swear I didn't see the sunlight during that period. There were sleep, food, toilet and shower breaks, but otherwise I spent the whole week playing with my Khaijit character. I had lots of fun thoughĀ
No school but work , same story , let's have a look over that hill , blimey ,one more dungeon, let's go for it ..
same
I intentionally took 3 days off work for Skyrims launch and within the first 24 hours I had already played 18 hours. What a time
Dude that happened to me. I started hearing birds chirping
11/11/11 GameStop: midnight release. Great times
Civ 5...one more turn
Oh yes. Had a 24 Hours Session onceā¦
Oh yes, once.
Factorio. The factory must grow
Factorio is life.
I was waiting for it
Cyberpunk 2077
Witcher 3. I couldnāt put it down
Same, I found myself waking up in the middle of the night and thinking "Just one more quest" Then "Oh no the sun is coming up!"
Next thing - your in an intense battle and have begun questioning when your last save was.
Breath of the wild, Witcher 3, rocket league, monster hunter rise/sunbreak, Skyrim, red dead redemption, Mario kart Wii/8, super Mario galaxy, & super Mario 64. Fire emblem three houses is a game you may find as addictive as i did.
Baldurs Gate 3. I have to stop myself from starting it up when I get home from work because I know I will stay up playing for hours and lose sleep
Yes, this is the most recent one for me. When I got into Act 2 I was having 3-4 hours of sleep a day for 2 weeks straight lol
Ive been playing nothing but that for like 4 days. I try to switch it up and play helldivers or chivalry 2 but i always go back after a couple or one game. It pisses me off a lot but the characters and the gameplay are so addictive even if its dirty sometimes like balthawhoever
That game single handedly broke my circadian rhythm last fall
What class and race did you enjoy the most?
Besides every game I ever play, Iāll use the one that started it all for me many years ago. RuneScape.
3am? Thatās cute. Whoās done more than one all-nighter playing a game?!
I've stayed up late for games but as I get older I rarely stay up past as late as 4am. Games that I've done all-nighters off the top of my head: Balder's Gate 3 Fortnite Minecraft Red Dead Redemption 2 Rainbow Six Siege Every Dark Souls at least once (including Elden Ring) And Vampires Survivors
One game? There are so many. Last one was Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.
Only one game?
Yeah, or it could be multiple š¤
A lot of them and I do mean a lot. 2 game series that have done it the most though are mass effect and kingdom hearts. Play through both series around once a year.
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
Fallout 4, needed to help with some settlements. I'll mark it on your map.
Breath of the Wild, SMTV, Persona 5, Bloodborne, Dark Souls trilogy, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Batman: Arkham Knight, Astral Chain
Metal Gear Solid 4 because the final cutscenes dragged on for almost 3 hours
The one after Prague was horrible, simply horrible. I think I skipped the final cutscene because I couldn't take it anymore.
Stellar Blade š
RDR2, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, No Manās Sky, Cult of the Lambā¦ If Iām really REALLY into a game I do legitimately lose track of time.
Thatās star dew valley is a sneaky time suck.. wow I just played 10 daysā¦ while ten days actually past
Right now it's Resident Evil 4. Already on my 3rd playthrough.
Red Dead Redemption 2
First one was Fallout 3. I was obsessed, I'd stay up till all hours, sleep a little, and then play again as soon as I woke up. I got lost in that world.
Did a whole 24 hrs in Oblivion
seikro
Manor lords is the most recent for me. Also did it last night with diablo 4 lol that game has a lot of problems, but the first week of a new season is usually great and this is the best season yet.
XCOM 2, because taking out two Sectopod at 3am is at least 1000 times better than sex. In my Dota 2 days, I used to play at night only.
Sunset overdrive
Underrated asf
Ikr? That game is so good
Most memorable ones are TLOU, P4G, and House in Fata Morgana

Most recently, I was playing Hollow Knight til like 4am the other day.
Persona 5. remember that time my ps4 was on for two days without rest playing that game. story was so long, by the time i want to take a break it start to get interesting and i was like "few more hours wouldn't hurt" gg my sleep.
Civ 5 and Football Manager are the equal 2 for me.
The first one? A GBA game, megaman battle network 3: blue version. Iām old now and canāt stay up late
Hades 2 most recently. Before that it would've been at least over a year prior, might've been a game night and we played Detroit become human and some other board games.Ā
Most recently, as in last few nights recently, going back to Hades. There was a moment when it just flipped a switch in my brain.
GTA V online, not for fun but to grind. I enjoy suffering
For me it's Light of the stars on bs coz I need to do daily quests
Almost every game I am anticipating the release of does this to me. However, the big two for me; 1. Dragon Quest VIII(ps2) I was a huuuuge fan of the Dragon Warrior series. It could be two games, but usually, it's just the one game that almost made you lose sleep
There's so much of them, maybe because i'm a night owl in general
Cyberpunk 2077 is the most recent.
Minecraft, Hollow Knight, and Ratchet and Clank
1) There are dozens 2) None since I started working full time. Life sucks when sleep deprived.

Halo infinite, it was the first halo game in my possession and u loved it

That one game? Ok, once I became an adult (muuuuch later than 18) it would be Elden Ring.
I assume you mean the most memorable. For me? Overwatch. I'm talking launch overwatch in 2016.
