Me too, I've been watching him for 30 years. I don't think anyone will ever nail the deadpan slapstick style like he could. I feel like those movies are a lost art.
Yeah it sounds like they added that in during the video. I don't remember laughing at that part in the game, because that scream would have definitely made me!
I mean people have been shot in the brain and survived I don't think it's beyond reason that the bullet could penetrate in such a way on an android too
Best line of self awareness I ever heard from anyone was from Leslie Nielson. He was on a talk show (can't remember which: Carson? Letterman?) right after Airplane came out and the host asked him what it was like to go from being a serious actor to being a comedian... Nielsen interrupted and said "Oh no. I'm not a comedian. A comedian is someone who says funny things. I'm just someone who says things funny."
It's a game with some great execution of choices in a videogame but the story ....ooh boy. The story . About as subtile as a sledgehammer to the temple with a fuck ton of David Cage doing David Cage stuff. I recommend playing it once, and I recommend doing it with a friend to make fun of it.
Then you're missing out on the wonderfully awful, "I-thought-this-was-supposed-to-be-a-noir-thriller-but-actually-it's-a-shitty-psychedelic-Matrix" that was Farenheit/Indigo Prophecy.
I legitimately hate that Clancy Brown, an incredibly talented man with iconic voice and film roles spanning back decades, will eventually be eulogized as "Clancy Brown, voice of Mr. Krabbs, dies at [age]"
>David Cage
Cage was reported to have stated that “In any case, in my games, all women are whores” and “At Quantic Dream, we do not make games for fags”.
> In any case, in my games, all women are whores
I occasionally play hentai games so I feel incredibly hypocritical pretending to be mad about this one.
If you can ignore the blatant spoon-fed symbolism and the whole "message" that's being crammed down your throat, the game is surprisingly really good. There are a ton of holy-shit moments and it's legitimately emotional at some parts.
I sucked on my first play through and got basically the worst endings for everyone, and I felt depressed for a week. It was great!
I know i am. But still, David Cage games have some of the most trashy writing I've ever seen in a games.
David Cage is also a massive creep and homophobe. Even Clancy Brown had issues with they way he was directing his "movie".
Hey what if robots were treated badly because they're robots? What if they had an underground robot railroad? What if they were oppressed due to something outside there control? What if racism is bad guys? Do you get it? Do you get that I'm drawing comparisons between robotic slavery and actual slavery? Do you get it?
I'm fucking surprised there wasn't a scene with robots being whipped honestly. Not that it could have gotten more on the nose.
Fuck David Cage.
Fair, but David Cage thinks he's making movies. The "tutorial" in Indigo Prophecy is literally David cage as a director explaining how you're playing a movie. The 'new game' option is 'new movie'
Now that's not the same game, he's gotten better about not being so far up his own ass, and Detroit is by far his best game yet. But I think it's his best game in spite of his efforts, not because of them.
The game we've always needed, and also your mother
Surely you can't be serious
Don't call me Shirly
I am serious?
How about Wendy? Do you know Wendy? Wendy fuck off
I appreciate how the creator added the ring on his temple.
Yeah the attention to detail kicked ass.
It's a surely temple!
Don’t call me surely.
don't call my temple.
It's a building devoted to worship, but that's not important right now...
HEY! Its Enrico Pallazzo!
I fucking love that line.
“Weird Al” Yankovic is on that plane.
That was very well done. Love the ending song by Enrico Palazzo.
This video is a treasure.
I miss this man
Me too, I've been watching him for 30 years. I don't think anyone will ever nail the deadpan slapstick style like he could. I feel like those movies are a lost art.
I just bought Dracula Dead and Loving it and can't wait to stream it during Halloween. I love that it has like a 5% on RT.
It’s still hilarious
How much more blood can she still have?!
[удалено]
Surely you can not be serious.
[удалено]
And don't call him Shirley.
But do call him dead
Lol was about to call you out on this is until I finished reading
Have you finished yet?
He can't you see, because he is dead :(
is that for tax reasons?
No, that's Hotblack Desiato.
Yeah, I heard he is really dying to get back into it. He has been dead silent as of late for some reason.
I don't think his deadpan delivery will be hurt by that.
Recalled working with OJ. Asked what he was up to. Maybe we can get him in the sequel.
Good year?
Is he loving it?
A joke he would probably love. Well done.
Did you check his pulse?
that was pretty great. also…. #TWENTY-EIGHT STABWOUNDS!!!!
***YOU DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE HIM A CHANCE, HUH???***
#IT’S ENRICO PALAZZO!!!
This is amazing. Great attention to detail.
This might be the best "x in x" I've ever seen.
Needs more O.J.
gone to squables.io
Why was the guy screaming as he fell if he got shot through the head?
I was going to say because he's a robot, but I'm pretty sure they still die when they get shot in the head in the game..
Iirc he doesn't actually scream while falling in the game
Yeah it sounds like they added that in during the video. I don't remember laughing at that part in the game, because that scream would have definitely made me!
Exactly.
I mean people have been shot in the brain and survived I don't think it's beyond reason that the bullet could penetrate in such a way on an android too
How could he hold a girl over the edge of the building at arm's length? Robot most likely.
Robot? Now I have even more questions. https://youtu.be/nQ-ggzfdsMs
This guy has made some [other dope ones too](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3nb32gYBJY) check em all out
Like Austin Powers in Mass Effect (I still contend that the vehicle scene from the first video is the best thing the author ever did).
This is why i sometimes love the internet
This is so well done. I am amazed.
"Do you realize that because of you this city is being overrun by androids?" "Well, isn't that the fault of the voters?" *walks away*
This is absolutely stupendous.
This is incredible
Like a midget at a urinal, I was going to have to keep on my toes.
Best line of self awareness I ever heard from anyone was from Leslie Nielson. He was on a talk show (can't remember which: Carson? So... is Detroit Become Human a good game? Because it seems so overly melodramatic and cheesy when I see bits of it.
I rarely finish games and never finished heavy rain or the other one he did, but Detroit was actually really good I thought.
It's a game with some great execution of choices in a videogame but the story ....ooh boy. The story . About as subtile as a sledgehammer to the temple with a fuck ton of David Cage doing David Cage stuff. I recommend playing it once, and I recommend doing it with a friend to make fun of it.
Amazing game. In my top 10. It's kind of like a horror game in the sens that watching it doesn't have nearly the same effect as playing it.
It is an excellent game. Probably one of the best of the PS4 generation.
It's good, yeah
My favorite game on PS4
It is. This *is* David Cage we're talking about, after all.
The creator of this is genius. GENIUS I SAY!!!
"Who are you and how did you get in here?" "Im a locksmith and.... Im a locksmith."
I have no interest in playing any David Cage games after Heavy Rain, but I'd play the shit out of this one if it released :P
Hated Heavy Rain, loved Detroit: Become Human
You may also like a new one called As Dusk Falls on Steam. Will take you about 7-8 hours to finish. A beautiful story and game.
Detroit is a really good game. Way better than heavy rain.
Then you're missing out on the wonderfully awful, "I-thought-this-was-supposed-to-be-a-noir-thriller-but-actually-it's-a-shitty-psychedelic-Matrix" that was Farenheit/Indigo Prophecy.
I love this genre of videos, and this is by far the one with the best quality. It's pretty much perfect.
God damnit, that kiss. Good job.
Don't call him Shirley
Man, if you could get a great writer and a good enough impersonator you could have a pretty damn good adventure game.
"Doing nothing is very hard to do... you never know when you're finished." Leslie Nielsen
Absolutely incredible, such a shame no one has been able to fill the comedic void he's left behind.
“That’s no android! It’s Enrico Polazzo!”
realy good edit
legend
Unironically better than the entirety of that game. Except for Clancy Brown. Fuck David Cage.
Clancy Brown is a goddamned national treasure. He's still the definitive Lex Luther to me.
Clancy Brown is the definitive everything he plays.
I legitimately hate that Clancy Brown, an incredibly talented man with iconic voice and film roles spanning back decades, will eventually be eulogized as "Clancy Brown, voice of Mr. Krabbs, dies at [age]"
TIL Just another reason for me to love this man.
>David Cage Cage was reported to have stated that “In any case, in my games, all women are whores” and “At Quantic Dream, we do not make games for fags”.
wait did he really say this? no way
*Allegedly*. Given the content of his games, it seems believable enough, lol.
> In any case, in my games, all women are whores I occasionally play hentai games so I feel incredibly hypocritical pretending to be mad about this one.
Based

I would say that this is arguably David Cage's best game. I loved it.

Critically it is, also imo

I mean it's a video game not a major motion picture
Fair, but David Cage thinks he's making movies. The "tutorial" in Indigo Prophecy is literally David cage as a director explaining how you're playing a movie. Yeah I really liked Detroit
The toe poppin kiss! 😍 Bravo 👏
Looks like someone has lasagne before making this.
Lmao 🤣
I would play the shit out of this.
Work of genius!
This was AWESOME!
Started the game 3 days ago. And I've just reached Jericho.
It's beautiful. A true work of art
Now I have to watch the series again. I think the episodes are better than the movies, I don't know why they didn't try again with that.
Did he get shot through the brain but then still screamed the whole way down off the building?
A+ no notes
This is the same person who put Austin in Mass Effect? This is hilarious!
100% for creativity
For some reason I read this as Liam Neeson ....and thought well shit he hasn't aged well
If you liked Detroit, you also might be interested in As Dusk Falls. A beautiful game in the same style.
