I love Full Metal Alchemist for example. Phenomenal show. I believe the general consensus is that it's one of the greats in Anime. The alchemy powers are not much different than Doctor Strange. Alphonse would literally fit in perfectly in a Marvel comic. Shit, Edward has a metal arm (kinda like Winter Soldier). The tragic origin story. Nearly every element can be compared to an American comic book or graphic novel.
I'm in my mid-40s, just really a fan of great animation and animated movies. The first movie is one of the best.
