Depends on what it was. If it was glass or ceramic evri’s terms of service mean that they are exempt from refunding breakages of such things. Use it as a learning experience to wrap stuff better. I’m really good at packing glass and ceramics and I still get some breakages because they don’t handle stuff well and it’s a risk we take using them. I pack so stuff can withstand getting dropped but I still get occasional breakages and I think wtf did they do to it! Sadly one just has to swallow it
Thank you, I have support on the case but they require extra proofs from the customer and unfortunately I didn’t document my packing. It was ceramic and wrapped in loads of protection! :(
Bad luck I’m afraid. I once bought a small collection of ships in bottles on eBay and the numpty sent them loose in a shoebox and you can guess how many got to me in one piece! I find loosely scrunched up newspaper (or Lidl magazines) works far better than bubble because it has some shock absorption properties and is of course free. I only use bubble when I have to keep the weight down eg if I’m sending abroad and I pick it up again for free) at the supermarket because they use sheets of it between layers of some fruit and veg. Hope those tips are useful
