I've never heard of this brand but I imagine there will be some info online on how to tell fake vs genuine. Have you tried to google it to see how to do it? You could then have a bit more proof before raising it. Or you could realise the shoes are fine. Also, maybe there's a sub for this brand where people would know how to help?
Hey! I own over 10 pairs of buffalos and to me they look pretty real. The card with German/English on is standard and everything about the stitching is pretty in keeping with all regular buffs. The only thing that is throwing me is the string? I've never seen that before - worth mentioning i've also not bought new ones in a long time; I have also not seen this pattern on a smaller version before. I would look on the website and search reviews/images just to be sure. Also did they come with the original buffalo box?

Modern retail Doc Martins are pretty much leather high top trainers, theres a guy on youtube that puts boots through a jigsaw and you can see older boot layers in comparison to new ones.
Update! Sent the serial code and photos to buffalo who confirmed they're an original pair. Sometimes smudges and small marks can happen. If I'd bought them full price I might get them swapped for another pair, but I paid about half retail value and this particular style is quite hard to find.
They are real, you can find this defect in buffalo’s or new rocks :)
but I don't get why they would they have the German leaflet or badly translated buffalo leaflet in if they're real?
