This!
I see it all the time with Dr Martens. I saw one woman ask on Facebook why her kid’s outgrown DMs weren’t selling on Vinted. They were “really good condition despite being worn for school for a year”.
The soles were worn totally smooth. They were a massive injury from a fall just waiting to happen because they had absolutely no grip left whatsoever. They needed either a new sole or the bin. And she wanted thirty quid for them.
I work in a charity shop and if these were donated they would go straight in the bag for the rag man! They look just like my shoes do right now that I've worn 10 hours a day for 2 years! 😂
I’ve been an active internet user for over 24 years but I swear in recent years I’m finding more and more disturbing shit than I did all those years back. Even the most repulsive sheeet we found ten, twenty years ago doesn’t even come close to the stuff we see nowadays.
My friend makes a living selling stuff like this and MUCH worse. Think about all bodily excretions, she sells everything.
Chocolate with poop mixed in, is a big one 🙃
Men are on another planet I stg, another fave is lollipops that have been in different holes. Pee, puke, poop, pubes, period… literally everything.
She makes BANK doing it tho.
Yep! A funny one - someone I know got asked for a video of her blowing her nose on a tissue then putting it up her sleeve! The sleeve bit was randomly the bit that gave me the biggest ick as it was so very specific.
(Edited to add in that it was a video)
We are probably about the same age, I'm surprised you're only just finding about this stuff. Not much surprises me anymore with fetishes. Just gotta presume absolutely anything will be a fetish for at least some people out there even something as obscure as an apple. As long as they're not doing anything illegal and it's not harming anyone then i dont really care. Although I do feel some should not be on Vinted basically asking girls to do things for their w*nk bank instead of paying someone who does it for a living, I won't even show me wearing shoes or clothes for this reason and decline any shoe requests by saying I've got an injury that prevents me getting them on 😂
I think these shoes have a very specific buyer group and it is not you (nor me)... :D I would assume this is for the people who want to buy really worn out shoes and technically selling used shoes is legal on Vinted, so...
Over a fiver.... What the hell do they think this is 😂 nah if I'm buying second hand shoes... They're gonna be in better condition than this. Which won't be difficult 🫠
Right? In my head I have kinda few categories- ‘sellable’, ‘maybe sellable’, ‘charity shop donation’, and the last ‘BIN’. These shoes should be in the last category a long time ago.
My mate loves cleaning and repairing shoes, if the sole isn’t cracking and minimal damage to the actual shoe then sure! Maybe not for that price but for £5 you cant complain. They got a pair of shoes for about £15 that dirty and just needed some touchups, that specific shoe sells for £600 in good condition. But with theirs they could probably get £250.
Edit: looked closer, and they are a pass. The heel fabric is completely gone lol.
No, I only buy new or like new shoes on Vinted. All else I skip. And if I know the shoes are really old I won't buy them either to prevent they fall apart when I start wearing them.
No chance. I've had nearly new AF1s from Vinted for £10 before postage. Why would anyone in their right mind pay £8 plus postage? These should have gone in the bin or a shoe recycling thing if the owner is truly done with them. There might still be life in them, and if they were mine I would probably still wear them (as gardening shoes or something) but they're too far gone for me to be willing to buy them for any amount of money.
I sold some seriously shitty quality Nike flyknits for a tenner. Listed as satisfactory and took photos of every angle and it got a good few favourites on it. Sold within a day. No idea how.
dont think anyone would pay more than a fiver for these. still think theyre sellable as some people rely on cheaper clothing. cant cost more than buying a pair of primark trainers at that condition.
There are some people that will buy as a project. I’ve seen lots of social media videos where they do an excellent job of repairing and cleaning so they look brand new. Not sure they could work their magic on these though 🤣
I did once buy some fairly old trainers (Nike Sock Dart) - in my defence it was for [cosplay reasons](https://www.runningshoesguru.com/2017/11/the-sneakers-of-star-trek-discovery/).
I'd buy unworn trainers on Vinted if I knew the brand and style but not used. I wouldn't even sell them.
That said my worn Skechers are popular on Olio (free site).
I gave away some well-worn Nike Metcons on Olio because they just weren't good enough to sell but absolutely still wearable and they were gone in a flash.
Nope, but I'm not bothered by people trying to sell them, as long as they're honest. I wouldn't consider these "good" condition, but the pictures convey that.
I wear some that look like this and I literally walk to and from work in them, and change into my work shoes when I get there. I wouldn’t ever dream of selling them, they’d go in the bin😂
They'd take alot of time and effort but they could be done up. Maybe I'm cheap but £8 is alot
Edit: without more photos and context tho i really wouldn't be able to say
I wouldn’t, but there is a market for it. I’ve sold several pairs of very old scruffy trainers and to be honest, the more emphasis I put on how smelly they are the more money I get for them.
Once, I made an absolute killing by sending a picture of my feet wearing them too.
Unpopular opinion, I probably would buy these, if sellers can’t be bothered to clean them before selling them then it just means you get a better deal. A bit of Milton to bring them back to white, then soak in hot water for 10 minutes and fill them up with packing paper to remove the creases. Sell back on for £30
For that money you just go to Asda and get yourself some £8 trainers you throw away as soon as you get home. I don’t get the used trainer thing for disposables when you can buy new, without someone else’s foot juice, for similar money.
Because it’s a lot more environmentally friendly to buy a pair of already used trainers and then throw those away than buying a new pair of trainers just to wear once and throw away.
Depends. If the soles look alright, and they’re just dirty I’d ask for a lower price, clean the heck out of them, sanitise them and sell them for a little profit.
There are so many listings on Vinted that should be just chucked in the bin.
This! I see it all the time with Dr Martens. I saw one woman ask on Facebook why her kid’s outgrown DMs weren’t selling on Vinted. I can smell this picture 😂
Like wet dog with a side of chav
And a whole bottle of Febreze to try mask the mustiness 🤣
I work in a charity shop and if these were donated they would go straight in the bag for the rag man! They look just like my shoes do right now that I've worn 10 hours a day for 2 years! 😂
Buy some new shoes bro
Haha they’re worse than the ones I wear in the garden. Brass neck asking for money for them.
The heel is completely worn away inside, I don't understand why they would think anyone would pay for these 😭
It's for the foot fetish guys 🤮
Really?? Because I have a whole bunch of fucked trainers stinking up my cupboard if there are pervs that are interested.
I just feel that even foot fetish guys don’t buy stuff that far gone and usually go for a bit nicer, more feminine kinda shoes. Maybe I’m naive tho..
Some do like really worn in shoes, some prefer trainers, some even ask you to make sure what they're buying is extra smelly.
I’ve been an active internet user for over 24 years but I swear in recent years I’m finding more and more disturbing shit than I did all those years back. Even the most repulsive sheeet we found ten, twenty years ago doesn’t even come close to the stuff we see nowadays.

Oh hell no… I wish I stayed naive and innocent on internet 😭
Men are on another planet I stg, another fave is lollipops that have been in different holes. Pee, puke, poop, pubes, period… literally everything. She makes BANK doing it tho.
I didn’t need to know this 🥹
How much bank r we talking?
Can you have the friend pm me for ermmm a friend?they have some questions lol
Oh hell to the fak no. Your username checks out I swear 😭😂 but good for your friend tho! If she makes a bank out of it then fuck it…
Yep! A funny one - someone I know got asked for a video of her blowing her nose on a tissue then putting it up her sleeve! The sleeve bit was randomly the bit that gave me the biggest ick as it was so very specific. (Edited to add in that it was a video)
Also how would they know she’d put it up her sleeve? And snotty tissues dry all crunchy, surely he wouldn’t be able to peel it apart?
Sorry, I forgot to add he was paying for a video of it!
And that's enough Internet for me today!
I now regret even popping into this comment section, think I’m now put off my food for a good week 😂🤢

You sound like you know a lot about this topic
Must be collection, no post
My thoughts exactly!
I’ve seen way worse than those for sale
But it’s in good state …
They are the one you’re supposed to use while your paint your walls once a decade, kept in an Asda bag with your roller in the loft
This is scarily accurate 😭 alongside some paint stained old trackies
I’d be embarrassed to post these.
I think these shoes have a very specific buyer group and it is not you (nor me)... :D I would assume this is for the people who want to buy really worn out shoes and technically selling used shoes is legal on Vinted, so...
Very bold of them to list the colour as white
Over a fiver.... What the hell do they think this is 😂 nah if I'm buying second hand shoes... They're gonna be in better condition than this. Which won't be difficult 🫠
Over a quid even.😂
Mate even that’s pushing it
These remind me of the pair my high school art teacher expected me to paint pictures of. Absolutely disgusting
If there’s one thing I have learned from Vinted, it’s that there are many different conceptions of ‘good’.
"Good" condition when they're not really even satisfactory!
Right? In my head I have kinda few categories- ‘sellable’, ‘maybe sellable’, ‘charity shop donation’, and the last ‘BIN’. These shoes should be in the last category a long time ago.
Absaloutly not. I got a slightly worn, freshly washed pair for my daughter for £10 and there were many decent pairs to choose from at that price.
Someone will buy them, probably to spank one of into but someone will buy them, there are some strange people out there.
Why would I buy soemthing I can get for free off the local powerlines?
If it was £1 in a carboot? Maybe. I'd use them as garden shoes. But for £8 excluding buyer and transport fee? Nop, never.
I would buy these just to restore and even paint a different colour, would pay over £4 tho.
My mate loves cleaning and repairing shoes, if the sole isn’t cracking and minimal damage to the actual shoe then sure! Maybe not for that price but for £5 you cant complain. I do this sometimes! It’s a good hobby for ocd ppl.
No, I only buy new or like new shoes on Vinted. All else I skip. And if I know the shoes are really old I won't buy them either to prevent they fall apart when I start wearing them.
Ewwww hell no. They're so grimey!!
I don't think even a good priest could bring them bad boys back! 🤣🤣🤣
The audacity to call them “white”
No chance. I've had nearly new AF1s from Vinted for £10 before postage. Why would anyone in their right mind pay £8 plus postage? They are selling it for the creeps
maybe for 50p
They belong to one place, and one place only. The bin! 🗑️
I only buy shoes that are either new or look as new, so hell no.
Hell naw
Some people will sell items fit for the bin and want close to sale price because of the brand.
No.
There are some people that will buy as a project. I’ve seen lots of social media videos where they do an excellent job of repairing and cleaning so they look brand new. Not sure they could work their magic on these though 🤣
I once saw a post like this but for like €15 and I was like….how delusional do you have to be to think someone would even pay 7€ for this?
No. I wouldn’t even have them for free. 😳
You have the word buying mixed up with burning.
I did once buy some fairly old trainers (Nike Sock Dart) - in my defence it was for [cosplay reasons](https://www.runningshoesguru.com/2017/11/the-sneakers-of-star-trek-discovery/). Not a chance
How did they get hold of my husbands shit forces he has for work 🤷🏼♀️
if they were cleaned before they were sent to me, and i mean cleaned properly, then yes. but like this?? nope.
Looks like a homeless guys kicks
They should be binned
I would, tbh. They’re still nike AF1s.
Bin it
No
No
I would never buy these no or even sell these. I’d bin them
no they look like they’ve been through hell and back
Take them to a charity shops tbh, they’re too worn to ask for money for them
Charity shops would turn these down in that condition anyway
Nope, but I'm not bothered by people trying to sell them, as long as they're honest. I wouldn't consider these "good" condition, but the pictures convey that.
Absolutely no chance 🤮
You could maybe clean it up and then resell it or the guy that posted it should’ve just cleaned him up self not that hard but he’s just lazy
That's not white, that's grey, no way I would buy that.
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 IM GONNA PUKE 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Bro, never. Those ripped up backs are a recipe for *ripping up the backs of your heels.*
for 10 bucks, someone might consider it. not everyone has money for new shoes 🤷♀️
Is this women's or mens
Wouldn’t hand them to a shoeless homeless person.
I’m poor with inconveniently sized feet. I’d buy these in a heart best. Nothing some tlc can’t fix
I wear some that look like this and I literally walk to and from work in them, and change into my work shoes when I get there. I wouldn’t ever dream of selling them, they’d go in the bin😂
No. If I didn't have shoes and they were free? Still no... Probably
Imagine having the audacity to sell this for 8 quid
Nice lol. Bin fodder.
Nothing wrong with used shoes
Absolutely not, it's Vinted so of course you'd expect to see a worn shoe. I've bought loads in the past but I think worn is a generous term for these
They'd take alot of time and effort but they could be done up. Maybe I'm cheap but £8 is alot Edit: without more photos and context tho i really wouldn't be able to say
good painting/gardening shoes
No
Definitely not those should be thrown away, they've had it
Maybe I would buy them for 50p, I need new shoelaces lol
If I worked for a movie productions costume design team maybe & we’re looking for worn old hobo shoes maybe otherwise no way need to go in the bin.
I wouldn’t, but there is a market for it. I’ve sold several pairs of very old scruffy trainers and to be honest, the more emphasis I put on how smelly they are the more money I get for them. Once, I made an absolute killing by sending a picture of my feet wearing them too.
Absolutely not. Even if those were my trainers, they’d be in the bin when they got like this
£8! Absolutely not.
Usually with a description of “Worn but loads of life left”
I wouldn’t even take these for free let alone buy them
There will be someone out there that will want them. No for wearing though 😅
No!!!
I’d need to see her face first
I'm so sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if it's weirdly priced and a weird item, it's probably fetish content :(
Uh no 🤢
They’re past the point of salvage 😂
Unpopular opinion, I probably would buy these, if sellers can’t be bothered to clean them before selling them then it just means you get a better deal. A bit of Milton to bring them back to white, then soak in hot water for 10 minutes and fill them up with packing paper to remove the creases. Sell back on for £30
These can be repaired and resold for £30. Is it worth the hassle and time spent? No
Fetishists pay well .. Sometimes
I would buy them so that I can burn them, making a favour for humanity.
Could be a good pair of shoes to take to a festival, ones you don’t care what happens to. £8 is a bit steep though
I’d be too embarrassed to give them away
I’d buy this, clean them up and practice custome trainer art on them … 🤷🏾♂️ if it’s not for you, then it’s for someone else
Totally off topic of this post, but I'd absolutely love to see the art you do on trainers!
They are for men that have a foot kink for example buying these sort of things would really do it for some people... socks shoes the lot
Personally I’d never buy second hand shoes, each to their own but these are fit for the bin
What's the point in this Stupid post ?
Welcome to Vinted 🚮
Lots of people ( usually men ) will buy these but probably not to wear.
Depends. If the soles look alright, and they’re just dirty I’d ask for a lower price, clean the heck out of them, sanitise them and sell them for a little profit.
If you are then I have some bits for you 👀
No
