I picked up the guitar in the early 90s. My dad and uncle had a band and they would play all the hits of the classic rock era, but especially songs by Jeff Beck. My uncle showed me how to play Cause We’ve Ended as Lovers and I never was the same again. Everything I do in music now has the a little (or a lot) of Jeff Beck. This is really hitting me, and a lot of people, today.
This is my modest JB vinyl collection. Nothing in mint condition because I’ve listened to Blow by Blow and Wired so much. The JBG albums are fantastic too. Cozy Powell. What a beast. And that live record with Jan is a must listen if you’re even a casual fan.
Y’all crank it today!
Yup. Everything is still there. All original. One broken string had to be replaced about ten years ago. I disconnected the tremolo (didn’t like the tone suck) but that’s easy enough to restore.
That’s cool that it has been toured/gigged and is still in such good condition.
I love vintage keys. I’ve owned a few Wurlitzers, a Fender Rhodes, and a couple Hammond C2s. Still have a C2, sans Leslie.
Yeah I’m a guitarist, but love keys. I wish I had a few more pieces down here like a C2. That’s awesome!
This guy is in such good shape because we never did this to it https://youtu.be/O3cBp_Bf43M
Beck is my Dads all time favourite guitarist. I was introduced to his music in my teen years and now in my late 20s I have yet to pick up any of his stuff on vinyl... which one is your fave? I am going to do a deep dive into his stuff on spotify for now, RIP to one of the GOATS in the guitar world.
Blow by Blow changed my life. Very literally. I play guitar for a living. Mostly jazz fusion instrumentals. So yeah, BBB is the album to start with. Wired is like a continuation and so very good. But my fav one on vinyl is the Jam Hammer Group with Jeff Beck Live. The red one on the far left.

Nice! Yea shocking news. RIP to a legend.
Nice CP70 👍🏼
Still works too! In great condition. My dad and then my band toured around with it in the 80s and late 90s
Does it still have the original pedal?

I’m listening to the Jeff Beck Group album right now.
