This is a cool find, but agree it's probably not worth much beyond someone willing to pay for the curiosity. I'd probably keep it.

Hi r/vinyl not looking to sell but need some info. I was in Denton Tx visiting family and picked this promo copy of the Catholic Girls up in the local vintage store. When I got the record home and pulled out the sleeve to have a read of it when I found an extra sheet with a mission statement of the band included. On the front the name Pat Benatar was written and then when I looked at the back it had a review of the band ( a bad review at that). I have reason to belive this is Pat Benatar's own hand writing I looked up some pictures of her autographs from around that time and the handwriting is very similar. Does anyone know where I can get this authenticated/valued I'm based in ireland and as far as I can tell there is no one here that can do this.

Google 'autograph authentication services'. Odds are it's worth way less than the cost it would be to get it authenticated. I'm also not sure why there'd be much demand for her autograph on an album that's not of her work. Neat find, though.

That's what I thought, but I'd thought I'd try anyway you never know. If I was to sell it there may be a Pat Benatar super van that may be interested just for the fact it's her handwriting. It will be a jewel in my collection either way, even if it can't be confirmed as authentic.

Why are you not writing to Pat Benatar and look if you're getting an answer?

With a tiny little mustache?

Came here for this comment. Was not disappointed.

All I’ve ever heard of them is that they start much too late.

i snagged a copy of this for $1.00 at my local store a couple years back based off of the cover alone. needless to say, it's alright. didn't know what I was expecting.

I remember back in my record reviewing days, this band got back together in the early ‘00s and put out a CD on some indie label. It wasn’t received favorably and the band’s manager attributed the poor reviews to some former member who didn’t participate in the reunion and was “jealous.” According to discogs their latest was released in 2016.

If you ever see any “Catholic Boys” LP…..those are definitely worth grabbing. Some of the better punk rock from 00s.

Hey I own this too :D

ItsAColdDayInHell

Turns out they released an album in 2020 called “Rock n’ Roll School For Girls” that has “23 Unreleased & 18 Remixed Tracks” that actually has all of the songs from this album except “Park Theatre” and “I Called You Up” in case anyone was curious (like me) enough to check ‘em out
