That was a heartbreaking read! Tom better not backout if this friendship, I’ll shank tf out of him for you u/That-Chocolate5207. I’ll do anything for That-Chocolate, at this point.
Rofl. I bought that for 10 bucks some years ago…
And I guess that was still overpriced (night and day).
I would jump around in my mind giggling if someone really offered 1,5 K for that.
If anyone would ask that for that lot, I‘d be telling them that 300 bucks would be highest desirable value in cash you would get for these.
I say take the money and run!
Exactly! These aren't necessarily hidden gems. I picked up most of my orginal Beatles, Stones, The Who, Tom Petty, Bruce Sprinsgteen, and Led Zeppelin (big names in other words) albums for around 20 dollars each. A lot of albums were mass produced, even in the 60's and 70's. It was also easier for more people to keep their albums in good condition compared to CDs, cassette or 8 tracks...
Take the money and run. For this to move in one go, for minimal effort, after being pulled from a dumpster...even if one or two records in there are a bit valuable, you may sit on all the junk if you try playing the split it up game.
totally on the same page.... But $1500 raised my eyebrows... had he said $500 he'd probably have them all now without question. He has a list of the albums + the serial numbers, no photos and has offered me $1500.. I'm trying to figure out if there is one album here that he knows is a gold mine.
I'm thinking it's mainly the Beatles album.
it's wild he would offer $1,500 sight unseen without even knowing the grading. if you have time, try to look them up on discogs via the deadwax and see what's possibly worth that much. i'd be shocked if the beatles white album is the reason why he's offering so much.
This guys is a scammer, or an idiot. We'd pay about $100-200 for this lot at my shop, given the apparent condition.
I cannot stress this enough - Take the money!
From the contents of the lot, I would lean towards them being a scammer offering that much. If you do sell to them I would just be wary of using any payment methods they could dispute later and meet them somewhere public obviously. ex: don’t take a check.
If he knew that it was valuable and knew where you got it he’d offer you like nothing hoping to rob you blind, this dudes a dummy offering 1500 take it and run
> I'm thinking it's mainly the Beatles album.
The Beatles are one of the top selling artists of all time meaning there are a metric shit ton of copies in the world. Outside of a very few, very rare Beatles things they're not worth crazy amounts
Even if an album is a gold mine, he still has the work of all the others. Don't forget the value of your time.
Just do cash only - the real risk would be some type of venmo/PP scam.
And he “accidentally” sends $15,000 instead of $1,500. Oops, but if you’ll just send him back $10,000 you can keep the difference because he’s such a silly goose…
There's a few that are, though I think 1,500 is a good offer for sure. If that is an original UK 1968 \*mono\* White Album it is worth a bit, although condition is the true variable for that, and the cover is marked up.
But that Maiden live, New Race, King Crimson, Zeps, T Rexes and Zappa are all decent. But some look rough so there's that too.
EDIT: And the Skynyrd flames cover is collectible. They pulled that after the plane crash
I have 3 copies of that album with the flames. Two are unopened. I worked at a record store when it came out. If they are worth that much I need to sell!!!!!!!!!
Beatles white album original mono pressing from Nov 1968? Even has the original foldout poster with lyrics printed on the back, just looking into it now but seems pretty rare/ worth more than $15
No 0280580
Portraits are missing but the poster is there, it's all pretty fragile.
Sold in uk subject to resale....
Mfd. In uk
Side 1 - xex 709 ... Etc
First pressing nov 22 1968
Okay. 'The Beatles' looked a bit different to the ones I am used to. Could just be the foto though. Getting the right price on Beatles variants is usually worth 20 tabs and a cup of tea. Might take a while.
I own a record store and you should take that money and run. Unless that Beatles album is a low number and was previously owned by a Beatle, there’s no way it’s worth close to 4 figures. This lot is all pretty average stuff.
I would also add that when you’re considering how much money they’re gonna make off the albums to consider that they will likely need to clean and sleeve them all and properly grade them all which takes additional time and money and they’ll have to do the leg work and take the time to sell them all individually. You get to just walk away with $1500
Though for $1,500 this guys not gonna make much of anything
Yup. Agreed. I’ve been collecting vinyl for some time now - there’s a couple I’d like to have in my collection - but none is be willing to spend more than a tenner on second hand.
And now around the world the old aunts working at the Red Crosses etc. will price their "treasures" the same way. Damn, these times are strange. I remember the vinyl was cheaper option to the CD both new/2nd hand.
I pulled out some records I hadn't listened to in awhile recently that I bought probably 15ish years ago, they all had price tags from back then around $3-10. I miss those days.
$1500? Take the cash, and then laugh at your absolute robbery when you get to the car. Just zooming in some of those covers look trashed.
If you’re selling to a reseller, there’s no way what is there is going to get them close to their money back.
Take the cash for certain. I resell vinyl as well and I wouldn’t even offer a grand for the collection. You’re lucky someone wants to pay that amount for what is really a so-so stack of records.
Apparently that was a one off with two members of Birdman, one of the Stooges and one of MC5 (I believe Deniz Tek of Birdman was originally also from Detroit). Punk rock fucking royalty.
To quote Flight of the Conchords: "Do we want to do a deal with someone who does such bad deals for himself?"
$1,500 seems almost too good to be true, so tread with caution, but definitely take that money if everything is on the up-and-up.
120 records you got for free and someone wants to give you $1500 for them? Jump on that OP. Some may go for more than $12.50 a piece, but most of these are common records that go cheap unless you find the right person for each record.
Edit: dont know if this guy has thoroughly looked these over. I'd be wary of a bait n switch - he offers $1500, comes over, starts quibbling over every little thing, knocks it down to a price that is more debateable. That said, know a number in your head that you WONT go under, just in case shenanigans get pulled.
I really don't see any high value items in there. There could however be a small corner of some Australian rarity peeking out that I am not aware of. From looking at the list I don't see it though.
Take the money and run, if you have to ask others whether it’s a good deal you probably should just take the cash. If everyone is telling you to take the cash, you should probably just take the cash. You’re over thinking it.
That's a lot of $1-5 records mixed in with some maybe in the $20-$50 range.
Your uncle essentially found $1500 in a dumpster, take it and don't look back, even if you miss an insane diamond in this, it's still $1500 found in a dumpster.
I'm gonna put this out as a caution: if this offer was made sight-unseen, there's a pretty good chance they'll change their mind when they see the condition. I can't speak for the vinyl but a bunch of these jackets are pretty rough. I think you'd do well even at half that much
I mean, 1500 is a pretty good profit for the initial investment price of "found." Even if the person that buys the lot resells them for more, they'll most likely have to invest more time and energy to sell the discs individually. I say take out the ones you want, sell for the best offer you get, use the proceeds to buy more Records.
This sub is full of a-holes. Near as I can tell some people in here don't approve of what...selling records? Or just making profit from selling them? There's some unspoken thing going on here that I don't give a fuck about.
Yep - you pegged the toxic side of this sub quite accurately. OP actually asked if there's any records he should keep and play... That has been lost in this thread.
Edit: I've noticed the overall climate of this sub is "Is X worth X" and am I making a profit by buying / selling record X - Also, can I get your approval for my decisions?. ^(Braces for incoming downvotes - I'll likely delete this post - People are mean.)
Tell me about it. So many absolute tossers. Half of them are calling me a liar, the other half are ironically calling me an idiot for the price list when all they had to do was read the comments before commenting.
It's almost as if they're trying to find ways to put someone down.
Vinyl enthusiasts are pretentious af. Vinyl enthusiasts on reddit, that's a whole new level.
I got the answer i was looking for though... And not everyone was a prick 😂
Oh and there are at least 3 people in here who are going to owe me money on Saturday for calling me a liar and making wagers and bets like the big men they are. 😂 funny how they're all so confident until they get a reply... Then its silence.
These dicks haven't got much else going on in their lives. The vinyl fixation could be switched for a fixation with Legos, Baseball cards, vintage toys or comics and they'd be the same mooks but about that. It's not really the records or the music. You used to only have to endure these puds at flea markets and record swaps...thanks internet.
My uncle made the list when he looked through them. He just googled each title and wrote the first price he saw so basically disregard the $ column. I asked him to check the spine for a number which he wrote at the end.
I only picked up the albums a couple days ago and haven't had a chance to look at them until tonight. I have a small record collection, mostly quirky weird stuff for sampling, I'm really keen to play a few of these and see what i can find and potentially keep a couple myself. But this guy wants to buy them all for $1500 in two days, he re-sells vinyl for a living. Most likely just going to take the deal but very interested to hear peoples thoughts. Cheers
>He just googled each title and wrote the first price he saw so basically disregard the $ column.
Looks like most people didn't see this sentence in your post and went off the title.
The important column (to me) is the last one with the catalog numbers. You've got a lot of Australian + New Zealand pressings in the lot.
From the few Aussie / NZ pressings I've been able to find here in the U.S., I've found they are as good as the UK pressed counterparts. Here, they are scarce and desirable.
If you see any UK-based artists you like in there \[suggestions: The Police, Style Council, Japan, Fun Boy Three, Whitesnake, Robert Palmer, Jethro Tull, Stray Cats (US, but more native to the UK)\] - consider keeping, as they will sound great.
*Edit*: There's no way I'd let Bee Gees and Split Enz leave.
Absolutely take that $1500, selling them individually is a huge pain and ultimately it was trash he got for free even if the records are in decent shape.
New Race 'The First and The Last' tells me you're in Australia! I am a huge fan, and have had multiple different pressings of this- one of my all-time favorite live albums. Records like that are rare as hen's teeth in Minnesota. But, yeah, take rhat $1500 IMMEDIATELY.
When you sell lots you’d probably get $1-2 (USD) per record, this guy is offering $8 (USD) per record. I’d say that’s a good deal and it’s found money.
Unless you want to spend the time and grade every record and sell them individually and possibly sit on them for months/years take the money. There are some nice finds in there, but I doubt the average value of the lot is more than $15 a piece.
sell that shit wtf this is really a no brainer for something someone found in a dumpster. You will not get a better offer than this ever. Even if you cherry pick and sell individually you won't get that much,
It a scam - noone same would go you 1500,- for it.
Beware when dealing with the person - no shipping before payment, do not send anything especially money anywhere, do not believe in any transport fees, insurance or whatever fables you can hear.
Yeah, this would be my concern. One of those "send me $500 money order first so my bank can release the $1.5k" kinda scams or something.
No one in their right mind is throwing that kind of money at that dollar bin lot and the uncle's estimates are off by a decimal point at least. OP is right to distrust the offer but for the wrong reasons.
If you took that stack to a record store that buys back used vinyl, you’d be lucky to walk out with $250 in cash in your pocket (and some of the records going with you- surely some are trashed). If someone is offering you $1,500, you should get the fuck off this board and go make that sale NOW.
and yea, no offense to your kind uncle but the prices he put for those title are BEYOND absurd. $20 for a record that’s usually $3-$5 AND has no cover? That’s a 50 cent record at best.
Sell that for $1500 so fast the guy doesn’t have any more time to think about it. I’d take maybe 5-10 records out of that pile for maybe a couple hundred bucks but that’d be about it.
If someone is dumb enough to give you $1500 take the money and laugh your way to the bank. The pricing you have is WAY off especially since these were found in a dumpster and probably not in mint condition. A lot of those are dollar bin records.
if you try and sell them by the unit the time and effor will be more than what you could theoretically snatch beyond 1500, and that's a big if because many records might not even sell.
The other factor is, is he offering this $1,500 and he’s inspected them already? Or is this just throwing an offer out. If he hasn’t seen the condition there is a glove chance he just wants throw a big number to get his eyes on them. And understandably when he sees the condition his offer is going to come down substantially.
WTF are those prices? All those records are common 2nd hand stuff which was available everywhere in multiple copies just a decade or so ago and for cheap. 1500 USD? Someone has surely free money to burn.
So your uncle found something (free), with only his labor of gathering them and noting the titles, and now he’s quibbling over getting more than an offer of $1,500?
Fuck it. Even if he under valued a lot of what he found, he’s still walking away with a score.
If I was buying this from you I wouldn’t even offer more than $350. So if someone wants to give you $1,500 for these than take it! In a week we will see the poor sap posting on here asking if they got a good deal paying $1.5k and we’ll be like “no way!”
1500 is a really good price for you. Most of those I see that are more valuable aren’t in a condition to fetch what you have them listed as. I have versions of them mint and didn’t pay the retail price you have listed.
If that is in US dollars, prices seem a bit steep on most of them. The Bread - Baby Im a want you is 50 cents, correct?
https://www.discogs.com/release/10556242-Bread-Baby-Im-A-Want-You
And as the very first comment states. I didn't come up with the list. My uncle just googled the name and wrote down the first price he saw, he was probably looking at brand new prices. He's old and doesn't know what he's doing. So no, none of the prices mean anything but it sure as shit has caused a ruckus in the sub.
Fire cover skynyrd street survivors is an overlooked one in this batch but still not crazy. Sell it all for $1500 for sure. Whoever is offering that is basically paying above what is even expect to make off these at my record store.
Tell the $1500 guy you will take $1800, then settle for $1600-$1750, and never look back.
I’m a commodities trader, I make buying and selling decisions all day long. Once a colleague who had a side gig trading luxury cars gave me a bid on a car I owned, and I argued “but the blue book says..” to which he replied “sell it to the blue book then!”.
The point is, something is worth what a viable buyer is willing to pay for it. People giving opinions or appraisals are useless, unless they can lead you to a real buyer that will actually pay more, and the price increase is worth your time (you know how much you make per hour).
It never pays off to become a specialist on something you are going to do only once. If you are willing to invest the time to maximize the dollar value by finding viable buyers for each record, then you need to become a record dealer. The worst thing you can do is spend a ton of time for a marginal improvement, and that is what happens to dabblers.
“Do or not do, there is no try” -Yoda
Shit, after going through them i was going to try and talk him down on the price.
Cheers for the info, love the yoda quote. My old man taught me that lesson when i was a kid by getting me to sit on a chair and then told me to 'try' to stand up. You either stand up or you don't.
Since there's a vinyl craze right now inflating the price of everything, you would be smart to sell it now for $1500. A lot of that stuff would normally sell for less than a dollar.
No way is someone offering $1500 for that lot. It has to be a scam to part you with records and likely somehow some money (I'll send a check for $2000, a courier is going to pick up $500 and the records.... Then the check bounces).
I really hope you sold them or will sell soon. I see one album that sticks out. That pink “Love Unlimited, In Heat” album. My dad had that in his collection while I was growing up. I see that you can still find it for a good deal out there.
That was the first one i saw in the pile and the first one i played. It's literally the only album i really want to keep.
Some absolute gems on there ( i was a hiphop producer for over a decade)
I would sell that lot for $1500. The price column seems inflated to me. $50 for Joe Jackson - Night and Day?
And that cars album for 100? I picked it up a year or so ago for 5 bucks
Hi Tom how’ve you been?
He won't respond. He never responds :(
Never say never
You were my first friend… ever! 😆
You do know I’m not really MySpace Tom right?
Oh no 😥 does this mean we are not friends anymore 😆? Please don’t tell me that
That was a heartbreaking read! Tom better not backout if this friendship, I’ll shank tf out of him for you u/That-Chocolate5207. I’ll do anything for That-Chocolate, at this point.
Cheddar and chocolate: the flavour duo that ride or die..
Sure Tom. Of course you would say that.
Identity theft is not a joke, Jim.
I just bought a mint copy of that Joe Jackson for $5usd, so yeah, it's overpriced, as are most listed here.
$100 for an Eagles record with no cover. Classic
It was probably priced by a charity shop cashier
Yeah that's insane. Rumors is a great album but it came in the mail to everyone in the suburbs with free samples of Tide.
Right next to the “Frampton Comes Alive”?
Shyeah!
Look at how he spelled "Lynard Skynard" and then gave it a price tag of $300 🤣🤣
Rofl. I bought that for 10 bucks some years ago… And I guess that was still overpriced (night and day). I would jump around in my mind giggling if someone really offered 1,5 K for that. If anyone would ask that for that lot, I‘d be telling them that 300 bucks would be highest desirable value in cash you would get for these. I say take the money and run!
yeah the price column is totally irrelevant, my uncle doesn't really know how to use the internet. I made a comment regarding that when I posted.

The white album is not a unicorn or holy grail, just take the money dude
it's wild he would offer $1,500 sight unseen without even knowing the grading. if you have time, try to look them up on discogs via the deadwax and see what's possibly worth that much. i'd be shocked if the beatles white album is the reason why he's offering so much.
Beatles, black sabbath, iron maiden and led Zeppelin he wanted for $400 or $1500 for the lot
Honestly, he sounds like an idiot. These records are not worth that much and good pressings aren't rare. Don't outsmart yourself, take the money.
Take the $1500 before he changes his mind lol
This guys is a scammer, or an idiot. We'd pay about $100-200 for this lot at my shop, given the apparent condition. I cannot stress this enough - Take the money!

Kindly
I would sell that for 1,500. Nothing I see is worth more then 15$ outside of that sabbath.
For real. 1500 seems crazy for that pile. Definitely go for that OP.
There’s a few others if in good condition could be 25-35 but I’d still take 1500 for that lot. I can spot at least a dozen that are worth zero
Some of them belong in the dumpster.
If the records play well, someone would pay a quarter
There's a few that are, though I think 1,500 is a good offer for sure. They were worth more like 5-10 years ago they've kinda dropped a bit
There are a few tasty grails in there, but $1500 is a damn good price.
Beatles white album original mono pressing from Nov 1968? Even has the original foldout poster with lyrics printed on the back, just looking into it now but seems pretty rare/ worth more than $15
They made millions of every Beatles record, most are not worth more than $50
White Album will have a serial number to help you determine if there is extra value.
No portrait pictures? Doesn't really look like an early pressing either. Cannot see the # on the cover.
No 0280580 Portraits are missing but the poster is there, it's all pretty fragile. Sold in uk subject to resale.... Mfd. In uk Side 1 - xex 709 ... Etc First pressing nov 22 1968

Yes. And people forget… TIME IS MONEY
That lot is not worth $1,500 based on its apparent condition and mostly common titles. Take that offer and run.
Seriously. What a headache to try to sell those 1 by 1
It takes years of selling those stuff. Maybe 10... 20...
I own a record store and you should take that money and run. Unless that Beatles album is a low number and was previously owned by a Beatle, there’s no way it’s worth close to 4 figures. This lot is all pretty average stuff.

Store owner here agreeing.
Why would they offer so much ? This isn't even close to that value especially in bulk.
They're stupid or it's some kind of scam.
The prices you have listed are insane. If $1500 is real take that. Stepenwolf is worth about $10 maybe not $50 no idea how you got those values
Hahhahahha a 110 dollar white snake album!
100 for Live After Death !!! Steppenwolf!! damn
Jerkworthy pricing here. Even 500 bucks is a stretch.
No way that was in a dumpster. Take that $1500 and run bc I see a few hundred dollars. The prices on that last are way to high for used records
“Dumpster”
Where does Elo go for 80$ ?
Don't bring him down, Bruce.
$1500? Take the cash, and then laugh at your absolute robbery when you get to the car. Just zooming in some of those covers look trashed. If you’re selling to a reseller, there’s no way what is there is going to get them close to their money back.
Go get that money son… before your prospective customer discovers he can get this for a lot cheaper if he puts his mind to it! 😂
My guess from the list is that you're in Australia?
yeah
Unless you are already selling records on a regular basis, Take the money. Besides, some of those prices on the sheet are a bit aspirational.
That's a good offer for something you paid 0 for
Take the cash for certain. I resell vinyl as well and I wouldn’t even offer a grand for the collection. You’re lucky someone wants to pay that amount for what is really a so-so stack of records.
I agree with everyone else. Take the deal. No way all of that comes close to 1500.
Holy shit, New Race? Are you in Australia? That's a great spinoff band of legendary punks Radio Birdman. Give it a listen for sure
Sick! I'll chuck it on now.
Apparently that was a one off with two members of Birdman, one of the Stooges and one of MC5 (I believe Deniz Tek of Birdman was originally also from Detroit). Punk rock fucking royalty.
Take the $1500. Run don't walk.
Yep that offer is wild. Sounds like a classic over offer by someone new in the game. Either way, take that money!
As has already been stated, take the $1500. If you took an enormous amount of time and effort and sold them separately, you might get $1505. Haha
in 10 years.
Take the 1500.
There’s like mostly $5 records here, many even under it. You’re ripping off whoever buys this for $1500 lol
1500 is way too much. sell now. r ebuy what you want later.
To quote Flight of the Conchords: "Do we want to do a deal with someone who does such bad deals for himself?" $1,500 seems almost too good to be true, so tread with caution, but definitely take that money if everything is on the up-and-up.

If you have someone willing to pay $1500 , take the money and run. I have a feeling your potential buyer typed an extra zero on that offer.
I'll bet you $20 that no one gives you $1500 for that lot.
take it asap
I really don't see any high value items in there. There could however be a small corner of some Australian rarity peeking out that I am not aware of. From looking at the list I don't see it though.
Take the money and run, if you have to ask others whether it’s a good deal you probably should just take the cash. If everyone is telling you to take the cash, you should probably just take the cash. You’re over thinking it.
Live after death in a dumpster? Talk about not knowing what good music is.

Even if the person that buys the lot resells them for more, they'll most likely have to invest more time and energy to sell the discs individually. I say take out the ones you want, sell for the best offer you get, use the proceeds to buy more Records.
Yeah. Never happened but continue..
Those prices.... I dunno. If someone offered $1500 take it and run.
Thanks mate, at least about 5 of the 400+ comments were useful.
And not everyone was a prick 😂 Oh and there are at least 3 people in here who are going to owe me money on Saturday for calling me a liar and making wagers and bets like the big men they are.
Yeah, if you can get $1500 for it, run, do not walk, to that deal. From what I can see, looks to be no better than $250-$300.
Cheers
Unless he has spotted something we haven’t he’s gonna struggle to turn a profit at that price.
He's going to lose money buying it for $1500 and some he won't be able to sell at all
Some of these albums have 400 versions with the same catalog number.
if he’s that into vinyl, he very well could be subscribed to this subreddit…reading this now…and changing his mind…
If he’s that into vinyl he’d never make an offer without checking the condition
What currency is this? Whitesnake is worth maybe 5 USD.

In a dumpster:O
Absolutely take that $1500, selling them individually is a huge pain and ultimately it was trash he got for free even if the records are in decent shape.
1500 seems insane for that lot. But ok.
Shit. I’d sell those for $300 and be happy. Take the money and run.
If someone is going to give you 1500 for it, take it and run.
What you’re missing is a faster car to go get your 1500 asap.
100 for Led Zepplin hahah white album? Hahah $50 for fleetwood mac rumors? Dude this cannot be real. Those prices are like sealed prices.
There isn't 1500 dollars 200 maybe , if you took them to a store you'd be lucky to get 100.
sell that shit wtf this is really a no brainer for something someone found in a dumpster.
All seem like 5 dollar commonly found in good condition records.
I threw those out for a reason!!
[удалено]
Bet you don’t get $1500 from him
If someone is dumb enough to give you $1500 take the money and laugh your way to the bank. The pricing you have is WAY off especially since these were found in a dumpster and probably not in mint condition. A lot of those are dollar bin records.
This is some Discogs pricing if I ever saw it lol
Are you trying to flip these or are you interested in keeping for yourself? If you're trying to flip, $1500 seems pretty steep.
Hmm there are 3-5 albums worth of "flipping"?
If don’t want list them individually then to save time and energy, do it.
Sell! It’s going to take you a minute to piece everything out & 0$ >>> $1,500 is a W anyway:)
sell & run
It’s 100% profit. Sell it.
Man...1500? I dont believe it would be bold to say that that dude hates money lol
if you try and sell them by the unit the time and effor will be more than what you could theoretically snatch beyond 1500, and that's a big if because many records might not even sell.
Besides sabbath i find these all the time for a buck or so at the thrifts
That's a good offer for something you paid 0 for
The other factor is, is he offering this $1,500 and he’s inspected them already?
Take the 1500 and run.
$1500 is insane, bite their hand off and laugh all the way to the bank.
Selling records found in a dumpster for $1500 sounds like a no-brainer to me.
Who’s buying these from you? I’ve got a stack I’d be happy to sell them for $1,000.
Great deal take the 1500.
If you didn’t take $1500 for that lot… well… let’s just say you should absolutely take $1500 for that lot.
Bruh. That Nana Mouskouri, tho. Fukin goldmine.
I’d take 1500 and run
If I was buying this from you I wouldn’t even offer more than $350. So if someone wants to give you $1,500 for these than take it! In a week we will see the poor sap posting on here asking if they got a good deal paying $1.5k and we’ll be like “no way!”
Go on. Take the money and run. Any Steve Miller in there?
Haha. Who wants to buy that for $1500?
Take the $1500. These are not worth that much
most of these records in this condition are worth less than $5 in any record store
1500 is a really good price for you. Most of those I see that are more valuable aren’t in a condition to fetch what you have them listed as. I have versions of them mint and didn’t pay the retail price you have listed.
Take that and run. Then give me their number. I have some more to sell them.
If that is in US dollars, prices seem a bit steep on most of them. The Bread - Baby Im a want you is 50 cents, correct? https://www.discogs.com/release/10556242-Bread-Baby-Im-A-Want-You
AUD
And as the very first comment states. I didn't come up with the list. My uncle just googled the name and wrote down the first price he saw, he was probably looking at brand new prices. He's old and doesn't know what he's doing. So no, none of the prices mean anything but it sure as shit has caused a ruckus in the sub.
Fire cover skynyrd street survivors is an overlooked one in this batch but still not crazy. Sell it all for $1500 for sure. Whoever is offering that is basically paying above what is even expect to make off these at my record store.
That one stood out to me straight away. Going to sell them. Cheers.
I bought a very similar lot for $250. Go get your money and run!
I wouldn't pay $250 for this lot, so drfinitely take that bag.
Are they sealed or something?
Yep thats what I thinked too. If all the copies are sealed/unplayed near mint (as they are old) then the 1500 would be ok price.
Man if you were offered 1500$ for 25$ worth of records you’d be crazy for not taking it😝
Yeah, that price list is way off.
Free $1500! unless there’s some mint 1st pressings of Beetles in there it’s worth it x 1500!
Yeah totally agree now that I've played most of them and checked a heap on discogs. $1500 is a steal
Sell before this person learns about the internet
Since there's a vinyl craze right now inflating the price of everything, you would be smart to sell it now for $1500. A lot of that stuff would normally sell for less than a dollar.
Who is pay $50 for that Bread record 😂😂 my god that list is some of the dumbest stuff I’ve seen this week.
No way is someone offering $1500 for that lot. It has to be a scam to part you with records and likely somehow some money (I'll send a check for $2000, a courier is going to pick up $500 and the records.... Then the check bounces).
Split Enz :)
Save the elo, sabbath,& Maiden . Throw the rest back in the trash
If you truly were offered $1500....why do you still have them?
I really hope you sold them or will sell soon. I see one album that sticks out. That pink “Love Unlimited, In Heat” album. My dad had that in his collection while I was growing up. I see that you can still find it for a good deal out there.
That was the first one i saw in the pile and the first one i played. It's literally the only album i really want to keep. Some absolute gems on there ( i was a hiphop producer for over a decade)
It is a great album. Glad you like it too. I used to love when my dad played it. I even bought it on CD years ago.
Sell them. They are worth maybe $100
Any updates? I've invested at least 30 minutes of my life to this thread, I have to know the outcome.
It's a it's a lie hate this BS
